00:03Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said on Tuesday that Spain is beginning to see light at the end of the
00:09tunnel in its battle against the major wildfires still burning across the country.
00:14We have shared the recognition of all those workers and workers who fight against the fire in first line in
00:23very difficult hours, very critical hours, but that, thanks to them, we are changing the turns and, therefore, we can
00:32start to see the end of the tunnel in the fight against these fires with all precautions and in days
00:41and in especially complex hours like the ones that we have left.
00:45Speaking at his traditional press conference before the summer break, Sánchez also lashed at climate denialism, calling it the worst
00:53possible fuel for tackling the climate emergency.
00:55Sánchez called for extreme caution as Spain faces soaring temperatures and the new heatwave forecast, which is expected to make
