00:32you know all the depictions i've seen before were little chalets you know he's got maybe two dozen
00:40elves and clearly that's not equal to the task of making toys for every kid in the planet some things
00:46you know you take on faith that's belief but i wasn't taking on belief the fact that you could
00:51make that many toys in one swiss chalet and the north pole is a huge place as big as new

00:57it's it's a vast expansive and industrialized a cozy industrialized uh center exactly how it looked
01:06was a result of spending my uh fair amount of my adult life in new edward where they have a
01:11lot of
01:11old mill buildings buildings vast brick buildings that were made to to make textiles and things like
01:17that so chris van ellsberg's memories were the inspiration they used to create the north pole
01:26there are conveyor belts and shoots and slides and pneumatic tubes and all these things that lend
01:32itself to like the wonderful adventure
01:36the north pole is a cool place but we don't want to be late so let's stay on schedule
