Rachel, a celebrity nail artist, fell for a guy she met online. Their relationship became more and more serious and when her date first met her co-workers, she was thinking he could be "the one." Then, a shocking lie that changed everything. So much so, that not only did Rachel and the guy break up; he also ended up suing her — on Judge Judy.

00:00What, what, what?
00:00Like, where was I dupe?
00:02Uh, double, uh-uh.
00:03You couldn't make this up if you tried.
00:09I decided to take a look at online dating.
00:12There was one guy who stuck out to me.
00:14His name was Jeff.
00:15He was very beautiful.
00:17Like, I'm feeling all giddy again, like, ah!
00:19We started hanging out at my house.
00:22We started arguing a bit more,
00:24because I was inquiring more and more about coming over
00:27and where he lived.
00:28His sister was in town.
00:29He had to work.
00:30He wasn't home.
00:32He just said enough to shut me up.
00:34Jeff and I had been seeing each other about a month and a half.
00:36One day, Jeff calls me out of the blue in a tizzy.
00:40I lied to you.
00:42I'm homeless.
00:43I will explain everything if you will just come pick me up.
00:47And I was like, what?
00:50I'm homeless.
00:51I will explain everything.
00:53What, homeless?
00:54What, what, what?
00:55He's like, well, basically, I need a place to stay
00:57for a couple of days.
00:59And I just kind of like, but I'm open to this experience
01:03and seeing how it ends.
01:05And then we went home to discuss things.
01:08He ended up in jail, which I guess turned into prison.
01:12Not only is the guy that I really like a complete liar and a fraud, but now I find out
01:18he's
01:19homeless, he's jobless, and oh yeah, he just got out of prison.
01:23Jeff stayed with me for maybe seven days.
01:28I don't...
01:29Were you still intimate?
01:29Oh, hell yeah, we was intimate, honey.
01:32Okay, like, in the kitchen, in the bedroom, like, you know, on the air hockey table, underneath
01:39the air hockey table.
01:40He really didn't have any other intentions or expectations with his life, so he just made
01:46me his intention.
01:47The biggest thing out of all of those issues was that he lied to me.
01:51It wasn't because he was homeless, it wasn't because he didn't have a job, it was because
01:54he lied to me, and that really hurt.
01:56I'm definitely a lot more cautious, and I definitely ask a lot more questions now.
02:01But still online dating, and I do believe that maybe one day I could find something, because
02:06I guess time does heal all wounds, and now I can find the comedy in the story, but at the
02:13time it wasn't funny... at all.
