00:04In Caravallera, one of La Guayra's hard-heat sector by the double earthquake,
00:09the Venezuelan-Guayana Corporation and the armed forces have joined forces
00:12to collect organic waste and manage sanitary risk while heavy debris removal continues.
00:18Our correspondent, Belén de los Santos, brings us the details.
00:23Studios, I'm coming to you from La Guayra, particularly from Caravallera in Los Cocos area.
00:30And, you know, this is one of the most affected areas by the twin earthquakes of June 24th
00:36with a lot of collapsed buildings.
00:39The work has been non-stop in this area.
00:43And what we are seeing right now is a coordinated effort by the Venezuelan Corporation,
00:52Guayana Corporation for Venezuela, the CBG,
00:55that is actually located in the Bolívar state in Puerto Ordaz
01:01and has to do with the economic development and logistics of that zone
01:07but has been, as many other corporations from Venezuela,
01:11aiding with different forms of support in the efforts that are much needed here in La Guayra,
01:19the most affected state by the twin earthquakes.
01:21And in this case, in a coordinated effort with the Bolivarian Armed Forces,
01:26they are now in charge and just going around this area
01:30in charge of the recollection of organic residues.
01:35So this is important if we consider and take into account the situation regarding the health issues
01:46that may appear in a disaster zone as the one that was brought about by the twin earthquakes.
01:54So health issues is a priority right now.
01:57It is at the health centers.
01:59It is at the transitory camps.
02:01And now we see this effort in order to control the residues as much as possible
02:07in the most affected areas.
02:10While the recollection of rubble and operations continue very, very near where we are right now.
02:17This is a coordinated effort, again, by the corporation together with the Bolivarian Armed Forces
02:23working right in the most affected area of Caravallera in La Guayra.
