00:00Can I say it? Can I see the replacement it's supposed to be?
00:02It was Utica.
00:03It was Utica.
00:04Yes.
00:05Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're taking a behind-the-scenes look at drag race queens
00:09who were reported to have been replaced on an All-Star season, and why.
00:13Why did you drop out of All-Star 6, Adore?
00:15We were just talking about it!
00:17That's All-Star 6, not 2!
00:19Oh, sorry. I quit a lot of things in my life.
00:23Trinity K. Bonet replaced by Kendall Gender on Canada vs. the World Season 1.
00:28I feel love. I feel like these people really believe in me
00:33and really want to see more of what I'm going to bring to this competition.
00:37Trinity K. Bonet was reportedly set to appear on the inaugural season of Canada vs. the World.
00:42This would have seen her join fellow All-Star 6 contestants Raja O'Hara and Silky Nutmeg Ganache
00:46as the delegation from the U.S.
00:48However, these plans seemingly fell through at the last minute.
00:51Trinity reportedly had to withdraw due to medical reasons,
00:54which she confirmed in an Instagram post addressing an entirely different issue.
00:58If you walk up to me and you're like, what's up?
01:00I'm like, what's up?
01:02Okay, that's gonna scare me.
01:03Yeah, that's the train.
01:05I'm like, I've always felt like Josh is the manager and Trinity's the artist.
01:08She off-limits.
01:09On the Race Chaser podcast,
01:11Willem and Priyanka revealed that Trinity had already made it to Canada
01:14with her runway package before deciding not to go through with it.
01:17I realized that she didn't show up for it.
01:19Or she showed up and was like, I don't want to do it.
01:20And I was like, I love this tea.
01:22I love when a girl has the package and says, you know what?
01:24I love that.
01:26Like there is confidence and iconicness in that.
01:29Canada's Drag Race Season 2 runner-up Kendall Gender is said to have taken her place in the cast,
01:33only lasting one episode.
01:35Utica Queen, replaced by Sam Starr on All-Stars Season 11.
01:39The purple bracket on All-Stars 11 almost had an entirely different makeup.
01:43In an interview with Entertainment Weekly,
01:45Jasmine Kennedy alleged that Utica was originally set to appear in their bracket,
01:49but had to drop out.
01:50Can I say it?
01:51Can I see who the replacement was supposed to be?
01:52It was Utica.
01:53It was Utica.
01:54Yes.
01:55I was so happy when I found out she dropped out,
01:57because I would have advanced if she was there.
02:00Utica eventually confirmed this,
02:02stating that she was excited to return to the Drag Race universe.
02:05Unfortunately, the timing could not have been worse.
02:08Fresh off an impressive runner-up finish on Project Runway,
02:11Utica was contractually tied up with promotional interviews around the time of filming.
02:15To have my first collection hit the finale of Project Runway.
02:20I mean, who else can say that?
02:22That their first collection was here, of all places.
02:26So, for me, it's a triumph.
02:28She admitted she tried everything to make both commitments work before ultimately stepping aside.
02:33Season 17 finalist Sam Starr was then brought in as a last-minute replacement,
02:36and put on an impressive showing,
02:38as she made it to the semifinals.
02:41I wanted to put together a video for people to see,
02:45kind of like a day as Anna Nicole Smith.
02:48A day in my life where y'all can come into my bedroom.
02:52Maddie Morphosis, replaced by Lydia B. Collins on All Stars Season 10.
02:57Since her short-lived run on Season 14,
02:59Maddie Morphosis has built a dedicated fan base
03:01who have been clamoring to see her return for All Stars.
03:04I hope you do amazing.
03:06You too, girl.
03:06I mean, I hope you go off.
03:08I hope you give the second-best lip-sync of the night.
03:11Because, like, I'm gonna do what I do.
03:13I'm gonna do what I...
03:14You think you're gonna do the first?
03:14Good luck.
03:15I'm gonna do, like, what I have already done to send somebody else home.
03:18They nearly got their wish on All Stars 10.
03:21Speaking in an Instagram live session,
03:23Nicole Paige Brooks revealed that the cast originally expected to compete against Maddie,
03:27only to be told upon arrival that she was no longer participating.
03:30I mean, I've never rapped this thing before, but I'm a southern belle with a sharp tongue,
03:35and this just reading on beats.
03:38So, I'm loaded and ready.
03:41Reports suggest Maddie withdrew because she had recently gotten engaged
03:44and wanted to focus on wedding plans.
03:46After Mirage allegedly declined because it was simply too soon after Season 16,
03:51production reportedly turned to Lydia B. Collins.
03:54Despite Season 17 not even airing yet,
03:57Lydia accepted the call and certainly proved she belonged among the veterans.
04:01Mess with me, you'll need your maker.
04:03Ga-ga-ga-ga-ga-ga-ga-ga.
04:06I'm the real deal, genuine, no faker.
04:09Can't take the bus.
04:10Lanaysha Sparks, replaced by Naysha Lopez on All Stars Season 8.
04:14Early spoiler lists for All Stars 8 consistently included Season 5's Lanaysha Sparks as a contestant.
04:20If you have a problem with someone, address it.
04:23And that's probably why I seem like a bitch.
04:24If I don't like you, I don't like you.
04:27And I don't like you.
04:29Are you happy?
04:30I don't like you.
04:31I'm saying it to your face.
04:32I was not talking to you.
04:32However, her name suddenly disappeared,
04:35only for Naysha Lopez to emerge on the finalized cast instead.
04:38Naysha ultimately went home second.
04:40I came here to perform and shine,
04:45and I want to continue to compete with my sisters,
04:49but I'm just really happy that I got to be a part of it.
04:52During one of her watch parties at Roscoe's,
04:55Naysha revealed that she had taken the place of another queen
04:57who allegedly dropped out after receiving her stipend for the season.
05:01She refused to identify who it was,
05:03and when fans directly asked whether it had been Lanaysha,
05:06she simply smiled and said it wasn't her story to tell.
05:08They're like, well, they stole the stipend.
05:10I don't have it anymore.
05:11It's gone.
05:11They said, this collar cannot be completed as the other.
05:13It's gone, uh-huh.
05:14And then...
05:15They stole the stipend?
05:17They stole the money, girl?
05:19Yeah.
05:19I heard, allegedly.
05:20Yeah, allegedly.
05:21And then, allegedly, I got cast after that.
05:24Despite the vagueness of her revelation,
05:27fans seemed to connect the dots.
05:29Lanaysha, however, has not publicly commented on the claim.
05:32Dita Ritz, replaced by Jiggly Caliente on All-Star Season 6.
05:36This is bad.
05:37I'm feeling nervous.
05:38I'm feeling scared.
05:39I'm really screwing this up right now in front of RuPaul.
05:42It reminded me of the main event
05:43that was gonna happen later on with my husband.
05:49Okay, cut.
05:50Ever since sashaying away on Season 4,
05:52Dita Ritz has made it clear
05:53she would jump at the chance to compete again.
05:55It appears that opportunity almost arrived with All-Star 6.
05:59Longstanding reports suggest Dita was originally slated to return
06:03before allegedly being cut during the casting process.
06:05She was then reportedly replaced
06:07by her Season 4 sister, Jiggly Caliente.
06:11What mother did say, may the best woman win.
06:15While neither queen publicly confirmed the replacement,
06:18the story has circulated within the fandom for years.
06:21Jiggly made the most of her second shot,
06:23returning with noticeably greater confidence and poise
06:26than her original season.
06:27Although her run was brief,
06:29it was a triumphant comeback for the beloved queen
06:31and helped reintroduce her to new viewers.
06:33Don't leave your man alone when she's around
06:36because her dress is easy access and she's ready to go.
06:39I gotta show them the shoulders,
06:41my bronze, beautiful legs,
06:43and I look so cute.
06:46Darian Lake, replaced by Pandora Box on All-Star Season 6.
06:50For years, fans wondered why Darian Lake
06:53took so long to receive an All-Stars call,
06:55especially after becoming one of Season 6's
06:57most memorable queens.
07:08It has been suggested that she was actually
07:11in contention for All-Star 6,
07:12but allegedly had to withdraw due to medical reasons
07:15before filming began.
07:17Rumors indicate that her drag daughter,
07:18Pandora Box,
07:19was then brought in to fill the vacancy.
07:29Neither queen has backed up this specific story,
07:32though Darian has acknowledged being contacted
07:34for All-Stars multiple times
07:35before eventually appearing on the 8th season.
07:38The wait is over.
07:40You better.
07:41That's a woman!
07:43I'm Darian Lake from Season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race.
07:46It's nice being back in this chair.
07:48Pandora's second return to All-Star
07:50saw her make it all the way to the 8th episode,
07:52after a close brush with elimination
07:54the previous episode.
07:56Adore Delano,
07:57replaced by Eureka on All-Stars Season 6.
08:00I get it, girl.
08:01I don't belong here.
08:02I don't think I belong here.
08:05You belong here.
08:06I think that it's just a hard day.
08:09After a controversial self-elimination
08:11on All-Stars 2,
08:12Adore Delano was reportedly set
08:14to make a comeback four seasons later.
08:16Adore herself has confirmed
08:18that she accepted an invitation for All-Star 6,
08:20but pulled out shortly before filming
08:22after production reportedly rejected
08:24her planned talent show number,
08:26which allegedly involved both fire and breaking glass.
08:40Rather than compromise the performance she envisioned,
08:43Adore chose to walk away.
08:45It's been reported that Eureka was called in as her replacement.
08:49Eureka, you found it!
08:51Work it!
08:51Again, and again, and again.
08:54Well, maybe third time's the charm.
08:56Some other rumors also suggest
08:57Ginger Minj may have been the last-minute addition.
09:00Both Eureka and Ginger made it all the way to the end,
09:03but fell just short of snatching the crown.
09:05Freak out, freak out, freak out, freak out.
09:08Look at me.
09:09Get down, get down, get down, get down.
09:13Look at me.
09:13Valentina, replaced by Bibi Zahara Benet on All-Stars Season 3.
09:18Imagine getting another season with both Valentina and Aja.
09:21You're perfect, you're beautiful,
09:23you look like Linda Evangelista, you're a model.
09:31Everything about you is perfect.
09:33Did you stone those tights?
09:34Oh, you're smiling.
09:35According to reports, that nearly happened.
09:38Rumors suggest Valentina had accepted a spot on All-Stars 3
09:42before allegedly withdrawing before filming began.
09:44This would have let producers mine the mostly one-sided feud
09:48between Valentina and Aja from Season 9.
09:51After she dropped out,
09:52they reportedly pivoted by inviting the franchise's very first winner,
09:55Bibi Zahara Benet, to compete again.
09:57Are you ready to inspire a whole new generation of Drag Race fans?
10:02Mother, another day, another slave.
10:06Who's first?
10:07To make matters even murkier,
10:09other reports claim Bibi actually replaced her Season 1 sister Angina,
10:12who allegedly withdrew after an injury.
10:15Whatever the truth,
10:16Bibi reminded everyone exactly why she was the original champion,
10:20serving a string of regal runways,
10:22drama, and an unforgettable verse on her way to the finale.
10:25Ooh la la la la la la la
10:27C'est bon, c'est bon
10:29A dog au chocolatelah
10:31You can take my snatch
10:33Drag it up, wheel it up
10:35Get me more
10:36Bring it to the ball
10:39Miss Fame, replaced by Ginger Minj on All-Stars Season 2
10:43My strongest suit is modeling.
10:45Ideally, that will carry me to get that crown.
10:47Considering how quickly Miss Fame became an international fashion star after Season 7,
10:51it's easy to understand why she reportedly wasn't in a hurry to return.
10:55The name Miss Fame was inspired by the law of attraction.
10:59I wanted to create something that would catch people's attention and then follow it through
11:03with beauty, of course, and then say something of work.
11:06It's been reported that she was invited to join All-Stars 2, but allegedly stepped away
11:10to focus on her booming modeling career instead of jumping back into reality television.
11:15Rumors seem to suggest that it was Ginger Minj who was then called to fill the vacant spot,
11:19despite reportedly needing some convincing before accepting.
11:29If true, it may explain why Ginger never seemed completely comfortable during the competition.
11:34She became the second queen eliminated, though she would later return with far greater success
11:39on both All-Stars 6 and 10.

12:18Willem, replaced by Tammy Brown on All-Stars Season 1.
12:22Surprise!
12:27Willem was kicked off of Drag Race before, so I am completely shocked that she's here.
12:34If there's one replacement story that's become Drag Race legend, it's this one.
12:38Willem has repeatedly stated that she was contracted for the very first All-Stars season
12:42and was expected to compete alongside Fifi O'Hara under the infamous team format.
12:47On your own, none of you were able to reach the top.
12:52So this time around, you'll need to add an S to your charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent.
13:00But after Fifi reportedly became unavailable because of legal issues,
13:04production allegedly scrapped the pairing altogether,
13:06leaving Willem without a partner and ultimately off the cast.
13:10Tammy Brown was then brought in to compete,
13:12and she teamed up with fellow Season 1 queen Nina Flowers.
13:25While Team Brown Flowers became an early casualty,
13:29Tammy's unpredictable energy gave All-Stars 1 some of its most bizarre moments,
13:33especially in the very first Untucked episode.
13:45Which of these cut queens would you like to see back on All-Stars?
13:48Let us know in the comments.
