00:00A heroic Oakland County Sheriff's deputy being credited with saving two children from a burning home.
00:06This all happened last Friday on Meadowbrook Court in Orion Township.
00:10Now the first deputy to arrive on the scene found the 10 and 12 year old boys trapped at a
00:15second story window.
00:16Using a trash can as a makeshift platform, the deputy reached up and pulled the children safely outside.
00:23Firefighters then extinguished the flames and rescued the family dog.
00:27Both boys were treated for smoke inhalation and they are expected to be okay.
