Transcript
00:00Everyone knows the head of the fish is the most flavorful part.
00:03Why don't you just like go for it?
00:04Like, here we go.
00:07One restaurant, one rule.
00:09I don't order anything.
00:11The chef decides everything.
00:13We're currently at Shoukhet.
00:14It's a Middle Eastern restaurant in Chelsea.
00:16It's known for its open kitchen, charcoal cooking,
00:19house-baked breads, and dips.
00:20My name's Chef Aisha Najaya.
00:22I am the owner and chef of Shoukhet Shoukhet.
00:24I want to give you the real rip and dip experience.
00:26Are you ready?
00:27Never been more ready.
00:28Are you sure?
00:28Beyond.
00:29Positive.
00:30I'm excited.
00:31We are rich in dips right now.
00:33I've been eyeing this pita since the second it arrived on the table,
00:36and it's covered in whole cloves of roasted garlic.
00:39My mouth is literally watering.
00:41Are you kidding me?
00:42I'm going to start with the strawberry labneh.
00:44Let's try it.
00:46It reminded me of having a New York bagel with strawberry cream cheese,
00:49but like the Mediterranean version of that.
00:51The tzatziki with dill.
00:53This is kind of like a dippified version of borscht.
00:56This is the fish in a cage.
00:59It quite literally came in a cage.
01:00It is a whole porgi grilled, marinated in a green chamoula sauce.
01:05It's so soft and buttery.
01:07The fish is grilled perfectly.
01:10Yep.
01:11This is the signature dessert, the mic drop.
01:13I think we can see why it's called the mic drop.
01:15Looks like she's wearing a hat.
01:17That's actually halva floss.
01:19It's like a sesame floss.
01:20It's like cotton candy.
01:21It melts on your tongue, so it's like creamy and rich
01:23and kind of light and fluffy at the same time.
01:25Of course!
01:26You've got a highlight.
01:27I know like that.
