00:00Well, the tiny nation of Cape Verde try to extend their Cinderella run against one of the world football giants
00:06Let's take you to Miami Stadium with the call. Here is Simon Brotherton
00:22Cabo Verde are a team living the World Cup dream with
00:33Villarreal
00:33But I can't hear what you say
00:39I'm talking about nothing
00:42They're going to be a really maximum, hotly contested or awaited encounter
00:48Lift off in the knockout stages in Miami and it's Cabo Verde
00:51Tina to apply some pressure
00:54Rodrigo de Paul
00:57Covered at the back here by Molina and back with
01:00Emi Martinez
01:02Stages of the season from February onwards with a knee injury
01:0552
01:06Unbeaten so far and only conceding two goals
01:09In a 2-2
01:11That's for some early pressure now into the penalty area
01:14Ryan Mendes, he's there
01:17Rich out into a fair one and Romero in there swiftly on Da Costa
01:21Yeah, it's not the first time I've seen
01:22This is Fernandez
01:25Dine Bourget
01:27Founters it for himself and the deflection
01:35It's a long, old chase
01:38A knockout match at this year's World Cup
01:40There's hope for everyone
01:43Ronaldo's advanced positions
01:44If they can beat that first all press
01:46Who played in towards Lautaro Martinez
01:52They're a well-structured, disciplined team aren't they Cabo Verde
01:55In towards Lautaro Martinez initially
01:59Here's Messi, first sighting of goal
02:04It wasn't the best of angles
02:05Tried to make the most of it
02:07Yeah, it's a disgusting shot
02:09Into Messi
02:11Challenged under the referee's nose
02:12Free kick conceded
02:13The tackle from Giovanni Cabral
02:15Quite the ball from that sort of distance
02:16But he's the man
02:20Messi takes it
02:21And
02:23Rosinha
02:24With a comfortable gather
02:26For Messi today
02:27And Molina
02:28Tries to put it on a plate
02:29He's now
02:30Trotting his way into the penalty area
02:33It's just no fear
02:34That's how we've seen him play so far in this tournament
02:36Absolutely no fear
02:37Oh, that was frustrating
02:38Here he is now
02:40Messi
02:41Trying to tip-toe
02:43Dine
02:45Getting his head on it
02:48There's going to be moments in the gap
02:50In it comes to Lionel Messi
02:52His control is brilliant
02:53His finish is even better
02:54It's sensational
02:56From Lionel Messi
02:57And we would expect
02:58Absolutely nothing
03:00In English
03:01Goal number 20
03:01For the all-time leading scorer
03:03In the history of the World Cup
03:05It's his seventh
03:07Goodness me
03:08This stadium's come alive
03:09With that goal
03:11It must feel like
03:12They're playing in
03:13Buenos Aires
03:14Everybody
03:15Has to be
03:15100%
03:17Every second of the game
03:19Foul on Giovanni Cabral
03:20Over half an hour date
03:21And he's
03:22Lino Messi's had all three of them
03:25And it goes towards
03:28Looking for the forward moving
03:30Figure of Molina
03:32Who I think was more than aware
03:33That he was in an offside
03:34Cabo Verde and
03:36Mast
03:40Duarte
03:43Little flurry of attacking play here
03:45From Cabo Verde
03:47But the ball in from Mendes
03:49To Enzo Fernandez
03:50Here's Messi
03:51And the flag is up on the near side
03:53For offside
03:54There you can see the ball legs
03:56Emi Martinez
03:57The Argentina goalkeeper
03:58Yeah they are
03:59I mean you see
04:04Bounces off the boot
04:05A player like Emi
04:07Emi Martinez
04:08Because he's playing
04:09Looking for Lautaro Martinez
04:10The shot's a quick one
04:11And it was
04:13Sharply saved
04:14Minutes here at the end of the first half
04:15As it's in towards Messi
04:18Messi stretching
04:19Messi concedes the free kick
04:22Cabo Verde now
04:34Well if it stays like this
04:35Argentina will go through to the round of 16
04:38And er
04:38We'll have a
04:40Carrera sending it in
04:41Turn up green
04:42Luna de Castro Martinez
04:45No save required
04:47Blasted in 1992
04:53Picks is strong
04:54The spot
04:54Picks the run
04:56The forward
04:57Messi's right back
04:58On the half way line
04:59Got five plays in midfield
05:01Just marking the space
05:02The run
05:03And Lissandro Martinez
05:04Read that
05:04And was swift about to change
05:06It bounces off
05:07And then Da Costa
05:08And the shot
05:09Coming in
05:10From Diroy Duarte
05:12And still
05:13De Paul
05:15Messi doesn't need much room to
05:19To
05:20The little breakdown
05:22Opportunity to
05:23Venture forward
05:23Abruptly halted there
05:25By Cristian Romero
05:26This is Mendes
05:27Infield
05:28He goes
05:28That's the equaliser
05:29A sensation in Miami
05:32At the World Cup
05:33G-Roy Duarte
05:42To say it's a shock
05:44For most of the people
05:45Inside the stadium
05:46Would be
05:46But here comes
05:48Lionel Messi
05:49Not in danger
05:51What so ever
05:52They've minimised
05:53A couple
05:53Here's Messi
05:54Looking to restore
05:55Argentina's lead
05:56And Vecinia's denied him
05:58Oh what a big moment
06:01Vecinia stands
06:02Who come on
06:05Off the bench
06:10Chased by McAllister
06:11No foul for the challenge
06:13On Cabral
06:16Gonzales
06:17Yes
06:17Sandro Martinez
06:18Lovely pass
06:19Nico Gonzalez
06:21And that was Enzo Fernandez
06:22Trying to get on the end
06:23Of here
06:24Come Argentina
06:24Here comes Messi
06:26Falls to the floor
06:28Right under the referee's nose
06:29To take this
06:31But for once
06:32It's the Mendes losing out
06:34Gonzales
06:35Who's looking busy
06:36Swept clear
06:36By Dine
06:39Intensity of Cabo Verde's
06:40Play has gone up
06:41A notch or two
06:41Following that
06:43Alvarez
06:43Here's Messi coming to life
06:45Chopped to the floor
06:48Messi takes it
06:50Floored away
06:50By Vecinia
06:51From Vecinia
06:53From Vecinia
06:53He'll need to be on his toes
06:54Again here
06:55More pressure from Argentina
06:59In this goal
07:00In this goal
07:00There's a good number of
07:03Argentinian
07:05Here in the second half
07:06And here come Cabo Verde
07:07There'll be a free kick there
07:09He's a bit too feisty
07:10From
07:11That'd be a goal kick
07:16There's losing out
07:17And Kevin Pina as well
07:19Pina will be penalised
07:21For his challenge
07:24Argentina applying more pressure
07:25They did score inside the final quarter of an hour in each
07:29Really pushed
07:30Really pushed
07:32There between
07:33Rodrigo de Paul
07:33And Lionel Messi
07:34And Gonzalez
07:35Sends it across
07:36And it's behind
07:39Gonzalez
07:40Got up really well there
07:42Third change
07:43Made by Lionel Scaloni
07:48Way by Dine
07:50Collected by
07:50McAllister
07:52Okay
07:54Messi looks to be the provider here
07:56Vecinia
08:00And Zard's also being Cabo Verdi and Mancera
08:03As he tries to tee it up
08:04And it
08:04It's Messi's delivery. Pinpoint. McAllister almost on the end of it.
08:09Ah, the finish! Now he's in the area!
08:18Goal!
08:24From Argentina! Lisandro
08:27Fixes his spot and absolutely drills it into that top corner.
08:32Try one. Oh, my goodness! My goodness!
08:37That is a welding!
08:42Sidney Lopez-Gabral was one of the moments of this or indeed in the other World Cup!
08:49Messi's delivery is a good one and it's the third goal for Argentina!
08:55Cristian Romero!
08:58This time Messi the provider.
09:03And it's an awful lot to ask Cabo Verde to come back!
