00:00The Czech Republic experienced its hottest day on record for the second straight day on Sunday
00:06as the temperature soared past 41 degrees Celsius as an intense heat wave moves its way from western to central
00:13and eastern Europe.
00:14The heat wave has also continued its record-setting run as Poland recorded its hottest reading to date,
00:21measuring in at 40.3 degrees, breaking a 40.2 reading set more than a century ago.
00:28The blazing heat gripped much of western Europe for several days before easing on Sunday,
