00:00Well, I can tell you right now that it looks like this is a total loss of a fire.
00:03The homeowner just got done talking to the homeowner, just himself and his 11-year-old daughter in the home
00:09around 7 o'clock.
00:10Somehow he hears, like, something going on.
00:14He smells smoke, checks it out.
00:15This is the upstairs.
00:17He then manages to get his daughter safely out of the house, so no injuries.
00:21However, a fire quickly spread through this 1,500-square-foot, two-story home, and it is now a total
00:27loss.
00:27This is in Grosse Pointe Park, right on the border of Detroit and Grosse Pointe Park.
00:32There's a lot of fire trucks here.
00:34Fire is still smoking quite a bit.
00:36These houses are fairly close together, but it did not spread to the other two houses that are close together.
00:42Fire department is still here on the scene.
00:44He says, the owner, this is Pierre Vincent, the owner, he says basically that he does have insurance,
00:49but he's going to have to find a new place to live and really start over again
00:52because literally everything he owned is in that house, and it is gone.
