00:11It's no secret that my family's relationship to Port Haven is complex.
00:17We weren't builders like the good ones. We weren't farmers like the Landrys. We
00:22observed. But we wrote those observations down and became the keepers of our town's
00:31history. But generations pass and that contribution starts to feel less
00:37important. This weekend's always so hard on us. This name, I know it was a burden for some.
00:47Like it cast a big defining shadow over their lives and dictated how big or small that life
00:55could be. But being an Augustine is not a shadow. It's a light. By writing the story,
01:06we record what matters. And we still do. I do. Because being an Augustine, yes, it's a responsibility.
01:18But more than that, it's an honor.
