00:00You are in London.
00:01You are Supergirl.
00:01Just how surreal is this moment right now?
00:04It's so surreal, it doesn't feel real.
00:06I'm not here.
00:07I'm fine.
00:08Amazing.
00:09What about when you found out you're going to be Cara?
00:11Just to sum up that feeling in your body.
00:13It was kind of like every emotion at once.
00:16So it's been a really beautiful journey of overcoming
00:23and battling the fear of taking it on.
00:26So it's been amazing.
00:28You are incredible.
00:29I'm telling you now, get used to hearing that.
00:31You really are.
00:32What about what you wanted to bring to this character
00:35that we haven't seen before maybe?
00:37I think a bit of grit.
00:38I think that I really wanted to humanize her
00:41and to really ground her.
00:42I didn't want her to feel like unattainable.
00:46I wanted her to feel like a person that you knew
00:48who just so happens to be able to fly.
00:51You nailed that.
00:52What about working with Craig Gillespie?
00:53Just how special was that?
00:54I love Craig.
00:55I love, I really, really adore Craig.
00:58I think he's both Australian.
01:00There's like a bit of a kinship there.
01:02He's such a collaborative director.
01:04He's so open.
01:05He's always, he's always very like emotionally
01:08and physically present on set.
01:09And it felt, it was such an intimate experience
01:11making the film.
01:12So I, I adore Craig.
01:14What moment was it where you thought,
01:16oh my goodness, I was super girl.
01:18When did it hit you?
01:19It feels like you're making this really intimate,
01:21special private thing.
01:22And then you're like, oh, people have to see it.
01:25You're like, oh wait, people are going to watch this.
01:28And now it's all starting to kind of hit me.
01:32And why should they go and run to the biggest screen
01:36possible to see this movie?
01:37Because this really is a film that you need to see
01:40on a cinema.
01:41Like Craig has created an entire universe.
01:44It's pretty much all off planet.
01:47Our VFX team has done a sensational job
01:50at creating all of these planets
01:52and creating all the creatures and crypto
01:54and everybody amongst it.
01:57And the sound as well.
01:59Like this, this is a film that was designed
02:00to be seen on the biggest screen possible.
02:03Please don't watch it on your phone.
02:05Don't.
02:05Can you quickly sum it up for me
02:07in like one tiny sentence?
02:08In one tiny sentence,
02:10a self reluctant hero goes on a journey
02:12of self discovery.
