The young girl, Mia from New Jersey, NY, had always been fascinated by birds and even drew one on her hand before visiting a pet store. Once inside, she met Emmet, a talking cockatoo, who quickly won her over by introducing himself.

After telling her family that it would be amazing if the bird flew onto her, Mia got her wish when Emmet climbed down and perched on her shoulder all on his own.
