00:26and ideas when I heard Reuben say that I couldn't fully understand what it meant to me it

00:32seem that different to kind of do the effect on computers or in person there's something about
00:37just seeing magic that is a fairly cynical adult it gives you this feeling of wonder and awe that
00:44I just absolutely love but then shooting it in person with the practical effects made me realize
00:51how wonderful it is because there are all these little nuances these things that make it feel
00:56less glossy these details that make it feel less perfect and more real we all need magic more than
01:02ever the showmanship of a magician the skills of a magician we require these actors to really learn
01:08magic because we're doing as much of it in camera as possible guys Houdini's strait

01:19fantastic magicians they taught us all the tricks everyone worked so hard have I ever missed the
01:25card in a rehearsal they really wanted this third movie to feel real and for the magic in it to

01:32like it's actually magic that could be accomplished by a performer in a live setting you ain't seen
01:38nothing yet and we wanted the magic to be incorporated into the script so it didn't feel like it
01:44was like
01:45an external thing that it was all inherent into what they're doing real baby we're thrilled
01:51what we forget is how hard it is because there are things that we've been doing for say 20
01:57years so
01:57you think we just do this well just doing this is something that we've done for years and years
02:02and
02:02so it's easy to forget how difficult it is they're kind of lending their time and talent to
02:08us and we want to
02:09make sure that it's as authentic as possible good and so while trying to make the magic real we
02:15also
02:15need to make it something the actors can do and you know true to the story and true to the
02:21vision
02:22that the screenwriters and the director have Ruben wants all the actors to know what they're
02:28doing and
02:29to have their magic tricks on lock which I really respect that authenticity hopefully will allow the
02:35audience to feel as if they've gone to a magic show and that they are seeing things unfold right
