00:00Hey everyone, and welcome to our story time. Today, we're going on an adventure back in time
00:06to a place called Gilgal. Are you ready for a super special picnic? Picnics are so much fun.
00:12You get to eat yummy food outside with people you love. Well, today we're going to hear a story
00:18about a super special picnic that happened a long, long time ago. It's a true story from the Bible
00:24that shows how even a little bit of food can become a huge feast when we share and trust God.
00:29Are you ready? Let's jump in. Our story starts with a very kind farmer. This farmer had just
00:35harvested his barley, which is a type of grain used to make bread. And you know what? The very first
00:41loaves he baked from this new harvest were extra special. They were fresh, warm, and smelled
00:47absolutely delicious. Instead of keeping this amazing bread for himself, the farmer decided to
00:53give it as a gift. He packed up 20 of these barley loaves and some fresh grain and set off
00:58on a
00:58journey. Who was he going to see? He was going to visit a wise and kind man of God named
01:03Elisha.
01:04The farmer knew Elisha was special and wanted to honor God by giving him the very best he had.
01:10When the farmer arrived, he presented the bread to Elisha. Elisha was so thankful for the generous gift.
01:17But instead of eating it all himself, he had a different idea. Just then, Elisha looked around
01:23and saw a big crowd of people. There were 100 people there, and they all looked very hungry.
01:29Elisha's heart was filled with compassion. He turned to his helper, a man named Gehazi, and said,
01:35Take this bread and give it to the people so they can eat. Gehazi's eyes grew wide. He looked at
01:41the
01:4120 small loaves of bread. Then he looked at the 100 hungry people. He scratched his head in confusion.
01:47But master, he said, How can I set this little bit of bread before 100 people? There's just not
01:53enough. Everyone will only get a tiny crumb. Gehazi was worried. He couldn't see how 20 loaves could
02:00possibly feed so many. It seemed impossible. But Elisha just smiled. He wasn't worried at all.
02:06He knew something that Gehazi didn't. He knew that God can do amazing things,
02:11even things that seem impossible to us. Elisha told Gehazi, Don't worry.
02:16Just give them the bread to eat. For this is what the Lord says. They will eat and have some
02:22leftover. Gehazi was still a little doubtful, but he trusted Elisha. So, he took the basket of bread
02:29and started passing it out to the 100 people. He gave a piece to the first person, then the second,
02:36then the third. As he kept going, something incredible started to happen. The basket of bread
02:41just wasn't emptying. It was like a magic picnic basket that never ran out. He gave bread to 10
02:47people, then 20, then 50, and still, there was more bread in the basket. Everyone in the crowd
02:54got to eat. And they didn't just get a little crumb either. They ate and ate until their tummies were
02:59completely full and satisfied. No one was hungry anymore. The sound of happy munching filled the air.
03:05After everyone had finished eating, Gehazi looked back into the basket. And guess what he saw? There
03:12was still bread left over. Just like God had promised through Elisha. It was a miracle. A small
03:17gift of 20 loaves had turned into a feast for everyone, with leftovers to spare. This amazing
03:23story reminds us of another, even more famous story from the Bible. Many years later, Jesus did
03:30something very similar. One day, he was with a huge crowd of over 5,000 people. They were all hungry,
03:37and all they had were 5 loaves of bread and 2 small fish. It seemed impossible to feed everyone. But
03:43Jesus took the food, thanked God for it, and started sharing. And miraculously, everyone ate until they
03:50were full, and there were 12 baskets of leftovers. Both of these stories teach us a wonderful lesson.
03:56When we share what we have, no matter how small it seems, God can multiply it and do amazing things.
04:03It shows us that God is generous and always provides for our needs. With God, there is always
04:09more than enough. So next time you have a snack or a toy, think about sharing it with a friend.
04:15You never know what wonderful things might happen.
