00:00Alright, I mentioned a storm. Let's dive into the details now. First, we're going to break it down on future
00:04radar. It all starts Saturday evening in the Northern Plains through the Great Lakes. Widespread snow, we get some ice
00:11mixing in, but then here's the severe weather developing and you can see from the Mississippi Valley up through the
00:16Ohio Valley. That's who's at risk. Sunday, we're at 630 right now, but really starting in the afternoon through even
00:23the overnight potentially here with some heavy downpours that develop. So flash flooding is certainly a concern as well.
00:30Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, you get in on this too. Mainly into Monday, we see the heavy rain and even
00:36some of that severe weather starting to move in. So let's break it down piece by piece here. First of
00:41all, I want to give you the overall footprint. Anybody shaded on this map, you need to be paying attention
00:45to what's happening with this storm. We'll start with the snow. Up to four feet of snow and some of
00:51you, especially looking at Wisconsin, the UP of Michigan, we could even get to blizzard criteria here. At the very
00:57least, expect some blowing snow, some very
00:59big drops in visibility. Not a bad idea to stay inside once the snow starts. Then there's the severe weather.
01:08Here's where Kentucky gets into play. We do have a level two out of four moderate risk area at this
01:13point. And when we're a couple days out and we have that moderate risk area, that gives you an indication,
01:18okay, this is a little bit more of an elevated severe threat. All types of severe weather certainly possible here,
01:23but damaging wind, hail, certainly the most likely. We do expect to see a couple tornadoes on the ground, though.
01:30Then we have the wind. Even if you don't have the severe storms, you might still have some of those
01:34stronger wind gusts, which will lead to power outages, can lead to dust storms in the southern plains, can also
01:39lead to some damage, flight delays. Certainly, we've already been seeing that today with some stronger wind gusts. Then once
01:47this gets over to the east coast, here's what we're talking about with rain. One to two inches, I mean,
01:52that alone can cause some flash flooding, but anywhere that gets closer to that AccuWeather local storm acts at four
01:56inches of rain.
01:57Yeah, we're going to have problems. I mentioned travel. It's not going to be good. So Monday, a lot of
02:03people may be heading back from spring break. I know it's spring break season. Not everybody maybe had theirs this
02:09week. Maybe you have your spring break next week and you're heading out Monday or you're traveling for St. Patrick's
02:13Day. Whatever has you going to the airport, everybody in red. Yeah, expect problems. Even those of you in yellow,
02:19not as numerous of problems, but it's not going to be a great day for flying.
02:23We do end up with a severe weather threat along the east coast as well. This is Monday through Monday
02:27night, mostly ramping up in the afternoon and then just continuing into the evening. We do get major cities on
02:33here, Wilmington, Raleigh, Richmond, up through D.C., even getting close to New York City in the risk area here.
02:39Not quite, but places like Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, up into New York. Be prepared for damaging wind gusts, some heavy downpours.
02:48I mean, you saw the oranges, the yellows, the reds on future radar, but we expect a couple tornadoes on
02:52the ground here.
02:53as well. So this is your early heads up. Be weather aware. Make sure you have multiple ways to receive
02:58watches and warnings. And once again, just like Sunday, even if you don't have the severe weather, you still might
03:03have the wind. We've seen widespread power outages Friday. Expect more of the same Sunday and Monday as well. And
03:10like I mentioned, all of those flight delays too.
