00:00We need to talk about what's happening in Cuba right now.
00:03As the Trump administration is waging illegitimate wars across the world,
00:07killing countless of people, it is also strangling the Cuban people,
00:11deliberately, methodically and openly.
00:14The pedophile Trump himself bragged about it, saying there's an embargo,
00:18there is no oil, there's no money, there's no anything.
00:22He said it like it was something to be proud of,
00:24while millions of people have been plunged into darkness by rolling blackouts,
00:28while hospitals lose power, while ambulances run out of fuel, while shelves go empty.
00:33The United Nations has warned of imminent humanitarian crisis.
00:37Intensive care units and emergency rooms are compromised.
00:40Newborns, the elderly, the sick, all paying the price.
00:44This is not an accident or an unfortunate side effect of some policy disagreement.
00:49This is the intended outcome.
00:51Since 1962, the US embargo has been designed, in the words of the US State Department itself,
00:56to bring about hunger, desperation and overthrow the government.
01:01Now the Trump administration is escalating it further,
01:05plotting what they themselves have called a takeover of the island.
01:09We cannot be silent about this.
01:11Cuba did not stay silent when the world needed it.
01:14For over 60 years, Cuba sent its doctors to all corners of the earth.
01:19Cuban medical workers fought Ebola in West Africa.
01:23They responded to disasters in Haiti.
01:25They trained generations of doctors from all over the world.
01:29When liberation movements were fighting for independence from colonial rule across Africa,
01:34and much of the world was looking the other way,
01:37Cuba stood in solidarity.
01:39Not just in words, but in action, with real material support.
01:43Cuba stood up for the world,
01:45and now it is time for the world to stand up for Cuba.
01:47On the 21st of March, the Nuestra America convoy arrives in Havana,
01:53carrying humanitarian aid by air, land and sea.
01:57That day has been declared the International Day of Solidarity with Cuba,
02:01and I am asking all of you, every friend of peace,
02:04every defender of the right of peoples to determine their own futures, to join.
02:09Wherever you are in the world,
02:11go to your local U.S. embassy and make your voice heard.
02:15Find your local Cuba solidarity network.
02:18Organize something in your community.
02:20Show up.
02:21Because the right of the Cuban people to build their own society,
02:24free from siege and economic sabotage,
02:27is not a matter of partisanship.
02:29It is a matter of basic human dignity.
02:32The people in power do not act unless we compel them to.
02:37And so, now we compel them.
02:39Together, we say it loudly and clearly,
02:42Cuba si, bloqueo no.
