00:00We're here today at a gym in Flatiron, Chelsea Pierce Fitness, but not just to
00:03work out. Inside are a group of Gen Z founders who are building seven-figure
00:07media businesses. We have a much more natural pulse on, you know, what culture
00:12like wants, what culture craves. Last month we did $250,000. The goal is to get
00:17to a million a month. They take calls at communal tables. They walk on the
00:21Stairmaster together. They're rewriting the rules of where business can start in
00:25New York City. I felt lonely. I wanted people and so we started working at the
00:29gym. It's a lifestyle thing. Like, we get to come to the gym in the morning or work
00:33out right before we leave. We love the hustle and bustle of the gym, to be honest.
00:36They call themselves the Media Mafia. Let's go meet them.
00:42What's the genesis of this story? Who came first? How'd you find this space?
00:45So I started my business in Ohio and my buddy Andy, who also co-works here, is a
00:50buddy from college, introduced me to this guy Matt Epstein. We got on a Zoom call
00:55and he's calling in from this gym. We ended up becoming good buddies, flew to New
01:00York, got my gym membership here and we started working together every day. I was
01:04walking around Washington Square Park every day with a microphone, drink street
01:08reviews. Matt was working here with Nathan. He said I started working out of here, met
01:12Seamus on a walk about maybe three weeks after he dropped out of college. Told him
01:17about this squad and this group of people and I think within the week he was
01:21working out here as well. So you guys now, you guys have a couple employees. How come you
01:24don't rent a co-working space? Why are you still working out of the gym? This is a
01:28big group. We love the hustle and bustle of the gym to be honest. I don't think
01:32there's anywhere else in New York City where you can get this level of just
01:36hustle and dedication in a very close-knit group.
