00:00Winter is coming back.
00:03While it has felt more like April and May from the Great Lakes to the Northeast,
00:07early next week will bring a blast of mid-February chill,
00:11and there's going to be some snow.
00:15Now, don't be fooled by the middle part of the week.
00:17Look how warm it is across the country, but that cold is lurking across Canada,
00:23and it's going to start coming on south.
00:25Now, we're going to be tracking a storm as we get into Thursday and Friday.
00:29It's going to bring more snow to the Dakotas, northern Minnesota, the lakes, and parts of northern New England.
00:36Behind that, we get another shot of cold.
00:39But the big cold is coming this weekend as we see a big dip in the jet stream by Sunday.
00:47Now, that's going to do two things.
00:49Not only is it going to bring colder air down across the Great Lakes,
00:53it's also going to form a storm that's going to produce some snow.
00:57Take a look at future snowfall and notice how the lakes, northern Minnesota,
01:05and eventually into the upper Midwest, we start building the snow,
01:09especially as we get into Sunday and Sunday night.
01:13Near the lakes, we could be looking at well over a foot of snow over the next 10 days,
01:19and then here it comes.
01:21Behind that storm, as we get into Sunday and Monday,
01:25a blast of cold air, denoted by that purple shading,
01:29comes across the lakes as we get into Sunday afternoon and Sunday night,
01:33and I'll tell you what, that cold air is going right toward the east coast.
01:37By early next week, it's going to feel like mid-February.
01:42Let's pray.
