00:00It's the first time Donald Trump has spoken at length since the start of the war with Iran.
00:05The strikes are continuing with neither side backing down, but the U.S. president predicts
00:10a swift end to the conflict.
00:11We've wiped every single force in Iran out very completely.
00:18Most of Iran's naval power has been sunk.
00:23We continue to target Iran's drone and missile capabilities.
00:26Their drones are way down.
00:28We've struck over 5,000 targets to date, some of them very major targets.
00:33And we've left some of the most important targets for later in case we need to do it.
00:39For Trump, that threat is in the event that Iran stops oil traveling through the Strait of Hormuz.
00:44The price of crude oil has already soared since the war began
00:47and will be a sensitive issue for the Republican president coming up to the midterm elections.
00:52I will not allow a terrorist regime to hold the world hostage
00:56and attempt to stop the globe's oil supply.
00:58And if Iran does anything to do that, they'll get hit at a much, much harder level.
01:04But in order to ease some of the pressure surrounding global oil supplies,
01:08Trump said they would relax sanctions on some countries, including Russia.
01:12We're also waiving certain oil-related sanctions to reduce prices.
01:18So we have sanctions on some countries.
01:20We're going to take those sanctions off until this straightens out.
01:23Then who knows, maybe we won't have to put them on.
01:26There will be so much peace.
01:28Iran's Revolutionary Guard responded to Trump's comments with defiance,
01:32saying they will decide when the war ends.
01:34So we don't know if I could fund myself in theurchies.
