00:00Hi, my name's PC Jordan Johnston. I'm here as part of the Rose Policing Tasking team today,
00:04looking at some of our most serious and dangerous locations in the county.
00:08We're in Kingsworthy, which has been highlighted as one of those locations.
00:11So the junction you've just come through back there, there's a large stop sign.
00:15As you approach it, there's two further stop signs as well.
00:17I've been in a really fortunate position. I've been on Rose Policing for a number of years now.
00:21I still love my job, but the opportunity the tasking team's going to give us
00:26to go out and proactively target those offenders that do cause the most harm
00:31and are the most risk to everybody else on the roads is something I'm really looking forward to.
00:36As you approach the stop line, I've then come alongside you at the stop line,
00:40and that phone's still in your hand.
00:42We are looking to target the highest harm road users
00:46and also the areas where the most harm has been caused through, for example,
00:51serious and fatal traffic collisions.
00:54We'll be proactively enforcing these locations across the force
00:57to try and reduce serious collisions and poor standards of driving.
01:01So just bear in mind that we are enforcing that junction quite regularly.
01:04It's one of our target sites at the minute, and it's something we'll be looking at almost on a daily
01:07basis.
01:07The key enforcement tool for us is the use of unmarked vehicles.
01:11We can catch people driving how they'd normally drive,
01:13and you're going to see mobile phone use, reckless driving, tailgating of people,
01:20outside lane hogging, all those things that really annoy everybody,
01:24we can really easily target and deal with.
01:26Cool. Thank you for your time. Take care.
01:29Brilliant. Remember, wheels completely stopped,
01:31and then you're clear to go because you've had a good look.
01:33All right. Thanks for your time. Take care.
01:34Bye.
01:34Bye.
01:34Bye.
