00:00Hello, good morning. It's a fairly cloudy start out there this morning with some mist and fog
00:04across the south, but further north it's looking drier and brighter. The sunny and settled weather
00:10is thanks to this ridge of high pressure stretching itself across the UK today, but we have got a
00:15weather front across the south slowly working its way northwards to bring a little bit more
00:20in the way of cloud later on. Here's the picture first thing this morning. Fairly cloudy skies
00:25already across southern parts of England and Wales. There's a little bit of mist and fog in the mix as
00:30well, which will slowly lift and clear over the next few hours. As we head through this afternoon,
00:35the cloud thickens to bring some outbreaks of rain across parts of southwest England, Wales,
00:39and later on into the Midlands. Come further north is a much sunnier picture for Scotland once again
00:44and feeling fairly warm here in the best of the sunshine. We could see temperatures reach 13
00:49or 14 degrees towards the Murray coast, but under the cloud further south it is feeling
00:54a touch chillier. Temperatures still in double figures though. As we head through this evening
00:58again, a risk of some mist and fog across southern parts as the cloud thickens and lowers. And that
01:04cloud will also extend its reach further north as well, later moving into northern England and southern
01:09Scotland. We do hang on to clear skies though across parts of northeast Scotland and here temperatures
01:14will fall away under the starry skies to give a patchy frost by the end of the night, turning cloudier
01:20across northern Ireland with a touch of rain to end the night in the west. First thing on Sunday,
01:26it will be quite a cloudy picture for many of us. Again, perhaps a few mist and fog patches
01:30across the far south, but eventually they will lift and clear. There's also an area of rain across
01:36Wales and the Midlands gradually working its way northwards, and that could be heavy at times,
01:40but later in the afternoon it will turn lighter and into more patchy drizzle. So the picture for
01:46Sunday afternoon then fairly widespread cloud across much of the UK. We do just reach into
01:51a little bit of sunshine across the southeast later on and here temperatures could rise to
01:56around 15 or 16 degrees in the best of those sunny spells. Feeling a little bit cooler for the rest
02:02of
02:02the country under that blanket of cloud, but still reasonably mild temperatures ranging between 10 to
02:0813 degrees. To end the weekend then, Sunday looks fairly quiet under that ridge of high pressure.
02:13Still fairly cloudy, a few outbreaks of rain across parts of Scotland and northern England,
02:18and rain turning a touch heavier in the west of Northern Ireland, but overall a fairly quiet end to
02:24the weekend. Let's take a look at the outlook then. So for the start of next week, it looks fairly
02:30bright
02:30across the south. Temperatures also reaching to around 17 degrees for Monday in southern areas,
02:36a touch fresher further north. Temperatures slowly taking a downturn as we head through the rest of the week,
02:41as wet and windy weather pushes in from the west. If you want any more details on the forecast or
