LION ESCAPES CROCODILE JAWS IN DRAMATIC RIVER ENCOUNTER

A lion made a dramatic escape after coming face-to-face with a crocodile in a tense moment captured in the wild.
Wildlife photographer Nick Kaleku filmed the rare moment while observing animals in the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
The heart-stopping footage shows the male lion scrambling away from the crocodile after the encounter in the river.
Nick said: “When I saw the lion escape the crocodiles, I was completely shocked it was something entirely new to me.
“I had never witnessed anything like this before, and it all happened so quickly that I just focused on filming the moment.
“This was my first time seeing a lion escape from crocodiles.
"Moments like this are very rare in the wild, and I feel lucky to have captured it on video.
“I spend a lot of time observing wildlife, but experiences like this are truly extraordinary, and I’m happy to share it with the world.”
