00:26and perhaps his best gig of all, becoming a father.
00:29Late-night talk show host Jimmy Fallon has two daughters with wife Nancy Javonen,
00:33both of whom were born via surrogate.
00:35When Winnie Rose was born in 2013,
00:38Fallon opened up about the five-year struggle with fertility the couple had gone through,
00:41calling the experience, quote, awful.
00:43Just we tried before we told people and then it didn't happen.
00:46And it's just really depressing.
00:48It's really hard on everybody.
00:50And so what we, this time we just said, we're not telling everybody.
00:52It'd be just more fun if it's just private between me and my wife,
00:56and then we get to introduce you to everybody.
00:58On The Tonight Show, Fallon also gave his thanks to the surrogate,
01:01as well as the nurses and doctor who helped deliver his daughter,
01:04saying that, quote,
01:05there are angels in Dallas, Texas.
01:07It was clearly an incredibly positive experience for the couple,
01:10as they went the same route when they had their second daughter,
01:13Frances Cole, a year later.

01:18and just hang in there, try every avenue, try anything you can do,

01:36After giving birth naturally to son James Wilkie in 2002,
01:39actors Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick expanded their family
01:42in June 2009 via surrogacy,
01:44welcoming twin daughters Marion Loretta Elwell,
01:47who now goes by her middle name,
01:49and Tabitha Hodge.
01:50On becoming a mother at a slightly older age,
01:53Parker has said that life has already given her enough time
01:55to do everything else she wanted to do, like sleep.
01:58Sadly, because of this being a time where surrogacy was less understood than it is today,
02:02the surrogate was identified and harassed.
02:05According to Parker,
02:06her personal devices were also hacked,
02:08and threats were made against her friends and family.
02:10And the girls are teenagers?
02:12They're 13, nearly 14.

02:40with the second, Sullivan or Sully, arriving two years later.
02:43Ferguson has expressed his extreme gratitude for their surrogate,
02:46and has said that he and his husband have befriended her and her husband.

04:31All three of us have had a child through surrogacy.
04:36During a December 2018 episode of his Bravo show,

04:40host Andy Cohen divulged that he was having a child via surrogate.
04:43In 2019, he announced his son Benjamin Allen's healthy arrival on Instagram,

06:13but opted to go with surrogacy as she had doubts about carrying the pregnancy.
06:17She said the decision was made because while technically she could have carried a child,
06:21it was much easier through surrogacy.
