09:43it was the third element on that list that helped convince writer producers joe monoski and brannan
09:49braga that kim was the one to lead the 100th and standout episode of star trek voyager timeless
09:55speaking in cine fantastique volume 31 number 11 monoski conceded that a year ago brannan and i were
10:02as down on kim's character as any character kim just never did it for us if someone would have said
10:08to me the 100th episode next season is going to feature garrett and ensign kim i would have just
10:12laughed it was inconceivable the killing game changed their minds however the two-parter had come up short
10:18and without the possibility to add to the world war ii sequences writers were left with a missing few
10:24minutes and only one senior officer not already part of the holodeck scenarios ensign kim in the
10:30new scenes written harry was forced to work under the brutal and large thumb of the hirogen but he
10:36also proved rebellious against his predatory overlords it was a tough side to him that we had never seen
10:42before and we really liked monoski went on to note in cine fantastique it was this edgy version of kim

12:39somewhat of a tradition in star trek all the way back in where no man has gone before kirk's tombstone
12:45read james r a mistake in retrospect on the part of the godlike gary mitchell to be replaced by the
12:52much more famous james t t was then officially tiberius in the star trek the animated series episode
13:00bem the r went on to appear in wesley r crusher and jack r crusher father moreover of course there's
13:08always william t for thomas at first harry kim was just harry kim but move over turkey platter there
13:15were two letters to add in non-secatur when harry pulls up his own service record the screen reads

14:41several unique descriptors for each of the harry's in fisher quest such as two pip kim tall socks kim and
14:48drive uniform kim a helpful anchor for the actor to separate his performances though not part of the
14:54lineup wong also stated that prime kim or kim kim hadn't been promoted by that point i.e by 2382
15:02speaking of promotions in february 2024 star trek picard third season showrunner terry metallis also
15:09revealed that the original draft of the finale had featured captain harry kim of the voyager b
15:15kim was ultimately written out because as metallis pointed out he didn't want to step on the toes of
15:20star trek prodigy at the time in the interview with track movie wong didn't hide his disappointment
15:25according to him the conversation about picard had gone all the way to his manager saying you've been
15:30cast initially for three episodes then two then one then none of course wong never did appear in
15:36prodigy either as for kim at frontier day it was perhaps better safe than assimilated as they say
15:42and for admiral shelby his replacement not even that number one rhode island is not the smallest
15:49state you can see the joke if not necessarily the refit nova class coming a mile off confirmed as much
15:56by a comment left by larry nemecek in 2009 on doug drexler's former wordpress drex files it's straight
16:03from the writers they always enjoyed tweaking harry kim and so it's the finale you have to do a flash
16:09forward but harry finally gets seen with a command even so of course it's named for the smallest
16:15state in the union get it smallest by area that is not by population the rhode island and the
16:22alternate captain kim of it featured relatively briefly in endgame in star trek online the vessel
16:28and its captain have a prominent role to play in several missions of the 2014 delta rising expansion
16:35all voiced by garrett wong captain kim and garrett wong would also return to lead star trek online's
16:412023 story update incursion fighting the borg in new ship the uss inue it is the final mission of delta
16:49rising dust to dust which is the most interesting for the purposes of this video you can probably see
16:55where this is going to in it and spoiler alert captain kim returns to kobali prime to find out the
17:01species whom we met in the star trek voyager episode ashes to ashes had actually got their
17:06hands and technology on the out of the hole breach kim from deadlock to reanimate him as one of their
17:12own called katon for what it's worth in game captain kim states that he is from the duplicate ship thus
