00:13The artistic expression, which consists of a symbolic burial of a deceased person with
00:17music, drums and dances, who died because of the creed of the woman of the town, was
00:23declared in 2018 as part of the National Cultural Heritage.
00:26For this 2026 edition, the President of the Festival Foundation, Hermann Otero, together
00:31with the sole tourism authority, Alba Alianza, and Mayor Juan Carlos Betancur, unveiled a
00:37plaque honoring Hermann Villanueva, leader of the Tambores de San Millán Group, and highlighted
00:43the weight of those who have ensured the continuity of this cultural expression for more than
00:47a century and a half.
