00:00High noon, Jones and Keith, W-E-E-I, Tier Tuesday, the tiers are up at Jones and Keith.
00:08We ranked all the top players in the NBA, from Jokic all the way down to, I guess, Joel Embiid,
00:14as the tiers shook out.
00:16Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:16Tana Man, Jalen Brown on there, if you want to go see those, again, at Jones and Keith.
00:20We'll take your feedback at 617-779-7937.
00:24Now, typically, Tuesday's Keith at high noon, we talk to Tommy Curran.
00:27That's right, typically.
00:28Of NBC Sports Boston, on vacation this week.
00:31Busy year covering the Patriots, so he's out.
00:34Well earned.
00:35Meanwhile, Justin Turpin is heading to the West Coast with the Celtics.
00:37He won't be here tomorrow for Pure Hoops.
00:39So it worked out perfectly to have Pure Hoops a day early with Turp.
00:43What's up, Turp?
00:44What's up, guys?
00:45These tiers look great.
00:46You guys did it again.
00:48How do you think we did?
00:48We did good?
00:49I think you guys did a great job.
00:49Yeah, I like these.
00:50Tana Man, Jalen Brown?
00:51Any player you...
00:52If we're projecting it for the future as well, which you guys did note, we should have noted
00:55that probably in the tweet, that this was projecting a little bit.
00:58People can figure it out.
00:59I should have noted that.
01:01But yeah, no, they look good.
01:02Anybody on this list?
01:04And people can see it at Jones and Keefe on Twitter and Instagram.
01:07Any one that you'd want a lot higher or a lot lower?
01:10Not really.
01:11Just like looking...
01:12Nothing really drastically.
01:13Not good.
01:13Up or down.
01:14He's an old goat.
01:15That's what he is.
01:16Old goat.
01:16I mean, there it is.
01:16He fits the description, doesn't he?
01:17Some LeBron slander from Terp.
01:19Wow.
01:19It is sad seeing those guys in there, though.
01:21Like, towards the bottom of the old goats.
01:24Yeah.
01:25The mighty are starting to fall a little bit there.
01:26To me, it's actually more impressive that they're all this good still.
01:29That's true.
01:30That's true.
01:30Very true.
01:31It's remarkable how good those guys still are.
01:33Even Harden.
01:34Who people think stinks.
01:35Even Harden is still a super high-level player.
01:37He's a joker.
01:38Yeah.
01:38But he's a super high-level player.
01:39Oh, yeah.
01:40I'm not saying you're going to win a title with Harden or Kevin Durant, even, or some
01:44of these guys.
01:44But the fact that they're still out there and easily putting up 25 points a game and
01:48are just like...
01:49I don't know.
01:49It's pretty impressive.
01:49Did you follow any of this Kevin Durant stuff over the All-Star break?
01:51Yes, I did.
01:52Oh, man.
01:52Yes, I did.
01:53Did you see this?
01:53I don't know.
01:54Explain it to Jones.
01:55A lot came out about Kevin Durant.
01:58So, he had this burner account, and he was in these fan group chats trashing teammates
02:02and coaches.
02:03And they got exposed.
02:03So, there's more burner stuff with Durant.
02:04Oh, yeah.
02:05I did not follow that.
02:06Every time they showed him on the All-Star weekend, he was on his phone, which made it
02:1010 times funnier.
02:11So, yeah.
02:12Some bad stuff going down for Kevin Durant and Houston.
02:14Talking smack about somebody.
02:15Okay.
02:16Interesting.
02:16Terp, do you think March 1st is now the date Tatum's back?
02:19You know what?
02:20When they first announced that schedule change, I didn't really think anything of it.
02:23Dallas is, what, 1-9 in their last 10.
02:25They're towards the bottom.
02:26I know they have Cooper Flagg, but no one wants to see a last-place team go up against
02:30a juggernaut like the Oklahoma City Thunder.
02:31But now with this docu-series that's being released, I think there is a tie-in that's
02:36worth monitoring, that NBC is obviously airing this, they're airing the game.
02:40So, it is worth monitoring.
02:42But you mentioned there were two other games as well that were flexed later in the month.
02:45But we've been talking about this the last couple weeks.
02:47It feels like the later it goes on, the less likely a return is, right?
02:51Like, I think a guy who's releasing this docu-series, who's practicing with the main Celtics
02:55in February, like, that doesn't sound like a guy who's not coming back this year.
02:59Oh, no.
02:59He's coming back.
03:00He's coming back, and I think the first week of March is probably the most realistic option.
03:04Because you want to give him ample amount of time to ramp up, right?
03:06You don't want to throw him in these high-leverage games.
03:08With the way the Eastern Conference is shaking up, especially towards the top, it's really
03:11competitive.
03:12So, those are going to be high-level games towards the end of the year.
03:15You want to give him some time to, you know, lead up to postseason minutes.
03:17So, I think the first week of March is certainly the one that people should have circled.
03:21Telling you, March 1st makes all the sense in the world.
03:23And even though you're right, Dallas isn't a good team.
03:25It's still Cooper Flagg.
03:26And then just moving the Thunder out of that spot is maybe the most telling.
03:32Because SGA could be back.
03:33The NBA didn't let them play on Christmas last year.
03:35So, we'll see.
03:36Maybe they look differently at the Thunder.
03:37But also, Celtics Sixers have had some good games in the past.
03:39But no Tatum is kind of different.
03:42Do you think the documentary release, too, and that timing of it?
03:46I think it's all the timing is starting to, like, add up.
03:48There's too many, like, you know, breadcrumbs now that we're starting to see, like, him talking
03:53with us before they took off.
03:55And that's not something he wanted to do.
03:57That is a league-mandated thing.
03:58Because he went through a practice.
03:59He has to be available.
04:01Like, I don't know.
04:02All of this is starting to add up where, you know, it's very, very obvious we're getting
04:05close.
04:06And, of course, he's not going to put a timeline on it.
04:07You know he's not going to do that.
04:09But it's getting close.
04:10With five-part docuseries, he's putting some kind of timeline on it.
04:15You're not doing a five-part docuseries to come back next season.
04:18Right.
04:19Not releasing it now in the middle of the year.
04:21Can you imagine that?
04:21I would have let the fifth episode.
04:23And then I decided to...
04:24I'm not doing it.
04:25I was like, oh.
04:25My knee hurts.
04:26Terrible.
04:26As much as he wants to say, you know, I'm not going to put a timeline on it.
04:29It's smart.
04:29You know, you don't want to get, like, put a concrete date out there.
04:32But, come on.
04:32Like, you're not making a docuseries to come back next year.
04:34What I find kind of interesting is that, and we're outside.
04:37Terp, you're the insider.
04:38But, like, I didn't hear it.
04:40Was this on anybody's radar?
04:41Like, I obviously heard nothing about this.
04:43I feel like it came out of nowhere, this docuseries.
04:45No, because most of it's been to his own personal YouTube channel.
04:48And he has a guy, Brett Hampton, that does a lot of his, like, camera work and stuff
04:53and behind-the-scenes stuff.
04:54And a lot of it's been on his YouTube channel.
04:57But to be with NBC, that kind of came out of nowhere.
05:00And it was released, like, during the All-Star Game festivities.
05:02So, yeah, like I said, I think that tie is definitely something worth monitoring.
05:06Real quick, I was looking at the Kevin Durant stuff for you.
05:08And so this is the stuff that came out from over the weekend.
05:13Alperin Segun.
05:14Yeah.
05:14He referred to him as a franchise player who, quote, can't shoot or defend.
05:19It gets worse.
05:20On Jabari Smith, he stated that he couldn't be trusted to make a bleepin' shot or get a stop.
05:27He referred to Russell White.
05:28Jabari Smith, by the way, had, like, five blocks against the Celtics that he absolutely smacked around.
05:33There were other words he used on Jabari Smith that can't repeat.
05:35Yeah, no, there's a lot of words on the airwaves.
05:37He looks real soft.
05:38I'm not surprised by that.
05:40He referred to Russell Westbrook as a triple-double cocaine bear.
05:45That's a guy he's known for a long time.
05:46He did say, I swear I miss Ben Simmons.
05:49At least that bleep would give me the ball.
05:51So that's a good line on Ben Simmons.
05:52And then the one that jumped out to most people was he referred to Devin Booker and Frank Vogel as
05:58dictators.
05:59And he claimed that the Suns were, quote, my team when we lost and Booker's team when we would win.
06:04He had stuff on there in Curry and Kyrie as well.
06:08All these just got exposed during the All-Star.
06:10It was a wild weekend.
06:11I miss all this.
06:12It was just Durant once again because we already knew about him with the burner accounts from, like, 10 years
06:17ago.
06:17And now he's back at it again.
06:18So I guess the way it was found out.
06:20With, like, current teammates, ex-teammates, current teammates.
06:24With Twitter fans.
06:25But the way people found out is he had this, like, picture of an owl and his, like, eyes.
06:30Like, he tweeted out, like, 2021.
06:32And people realized it was the header.
06:34And they were like, oh, this, like, guy knows way too much to not be someone, like, tied in.
06:39If you're hiding on the internet, it's really only a matter of time.
06:41Yeah.
06:42Especially with AI now.
06:43Oh, right.
06:43But he was so shameless about it in the past.
06:46He was.
06:46Now he just went.
06:47He tried to go in Caudito and it wasn't going to work.
06:49Yeah.
06:49He used to just make accounts to rip Billy Donovan, remember?
06:52Like, your coach?
06:53Like, you're going to go on there?
06:55It is pretty wild, like, for a guy that is just, I don't know, 100, 200, 300 million dollars.
07:01One of the best basketball players, like, of all time.
07:03He's just, like, can't help himself.
07:04No.
07:04Does it make him human?
07:05I don't know.
07:06No, you can't.
07:06Or does it make him just a giant pig?
07:07You got to ignore the Twitter.
07:08You got to.
07:09You probably should ignore that.
07:10KD.
07:11Yeah.
07:11You got to ignore the Twitter eggs and the ex-media members.
07:13And just let it roll right off your back.
07:15You can vent about it in real life, but don't do it online.
07:18Yep.
07:19Yeah.
07:19Exactly.
07:20Well, first half in the books for the Celtics, and we talked about it with you last week.
07:25Obviously, very impressive first half run.
07:27The second half, I'm sure these guys, until they get Jason Tatum back, are probably going
07:33to continue to be asked about.
07:34I'm curious how, like, Missoula and even, like, Jalen Brown sort of approach this.
07:38Or are they going to keep getting hounded by it?
07:40Or are they going to be like, listen, when he comes back, he comes back.
07:42Until then, like, I don't really know what else to tell you.
07:44That's probably what it is.
07:45It's kind of like the Mike Vrabel rule, like, you speak for yourself.
07:48Like, I can't imagine that they're going to go out.
07:49And Missoula, especially.
07:50Like, he's been clear.
07:51He doesn't really like talking about injuries.
07:53He doesn't want to put a timeline out there for whatever.
07:55Like, you know, he doesn't want to know what players want out there or whatnot.
07:57So, yeah, he's not going to address it, and neither are they.
08:00It's kind of like the Mike Vrabel rule.
08:01Like I said, you speak for yourself.
08:02And, you know, until then, they're just going to keep tiptoeing around it.
08:06But it's getting close.
08:07It's very obvious.
08:07Well, plus, they're not going to have it.
08:09I mean, you'll be out there, but it'll be quieter, like Celtics media front.
08:13Yeah, the four games there.
08:13Yeah, so you've got Golden State, LA, Phoenix, Denver.
08:16So, the amount of just Celtics coverage will be way less than what it would be when they finally come
08:21back home.
08:21Yeah, so that is kind of like a way to.
08:24We'll shield it from it.
08:25Ease back into it.
08:26That's true.
08:26What happened with Jalen in Beverly Hills this weekend?
08:29I kind of tried to follow that.
08:30I loosely followed it.
08:31He had a summit.
08:34Is that what he's referring to it as?
08:35It was a panel, I think.
08:35There you go, a panel that got broken up by Beverly Hills cops.
08:39He was pissed about it.
08:40What happened there?
08:40It was on the live stream, from my understanding.
08:42Yeah, it was like a panel that people were having some sort of conversation.
08:45And I guess the police must have taken it as like a commotion or something.
08:49I really wasn't really clear, but it was live streamed.
08:51Did I read that he was trying to get a permit, then didn't get the permit?
08:56Well, that's what the cops said.
08:58Well, no, I know.
08:59But then he came out and said, well, no, we didn't actually even apply for it.
09:04A little further after the All-Star game.
09:06Because this happened, it was media day for the All-Star game.
09:08Then it happened that night.
09:09He discussed it a little further then.
09:11But, yeah.
09:13It seemed like a mess.
09:13It was another wild thing for the NBA this weekend.
09:16It was just all over the place.
09:17Well, I do feel like he got more questions about that than his tweet.
09:19He was asked about his tweet, comparing and contrasting the team from a year ago with
09:23now, but I feel like he got way more questions about this Beverly Hills panel summit, whatever.
09:28Did you guys have an issue with that tweet?
09:29Yeah.
09:30I didn't.
09:31I thought it was just keep it to yourself.
09:33We all know what you're saying, but just it doesn't look good for anyone.
09:37That doesn't look good for anyone.
09:38But what is the difference when he's saying it in like a press conference setting versus
09:41just putting the numbers out there?
09:42I don't know.
09:42Because he says the same thing.
09:43The way the – no.
09:44Does he say we're third in offense and we were third in offense?
09:46Like, does he go through all the different ranks?
09:48He mentioned ad nauseum.
09:48He mentions how they're still –
09:50The visual of the two ranks.
09:52Yeah.
09:52You know this.
09:53Like, that image is going to live on way more than like a clip that is boom and sent into
09:57the ether and it'll live for 24 hours and it's gone.
09:59Because it's also –
10:00That visual of the two stats side by each last year with Tatum – he doesn't write this.
10:05No, I know.
10:05But with Tatum and without, we all know what the implication – it just helps no one.
10:09But they also lost four other guys that were in their top nine of minute getters.
10:12So why do you think he did it?
10:14I think he said it in the tweet and he actually expounded on it further at the All-Star break.
10:18He's just proud of his team?
10:19He should be.
10:19I don't mind that.
10:20He's proud of himself.
10:22And maybe he's proud of his teammates as well.
10:24They're projected to win 41 and a half games.
10:25They're okay to win over 50.
10:26And that's where I think it's different.
10:27If you took preseason projections or people talking about this –
10:30Yes.
10:31And you were like, hey, some idiot said we were going to miss the playoffs and we're in second place.
10:35That is highlighting this season's team.
10:38Doing side-by-sides about defensive net rating and offensive net rating from year to year
10:43is clearly – I think a thing of – look at me as the lead guy.
10:46The first year is a lead guy and we're no different.
10:49Why everyone just jumped to it being a Tatum shot, though?
10:51Like, they lost four other guys that were very well –
10:53Because he tweeted it right before Tatum's back.
10:55Tatum's about to come back.
10:56Well, they tweeted it out right before –
10:57Well, they tweeted it at the All-Star break, though.
10:57Which is oftentimes a point of reflection.
10:59Yeah, no, that's true.
11:00But is it oftentimes when people tweet out stats comparing this year's team to last year?
11:04I've never seen that.
11:05No, I would say that.
11:06It's pretty unorthodox.
11:06So, I mean, it's right before Tatum comes back.
11:08But it's just – I think everyone's kind of tying it back to Tatum when they lost, you know,
11:12Drew Holiday, Al Horford.
11:13Those are two Hall of Famers, Drew Holiday and Al Horford.
11:15Kristaps Porzingis was huge for this team when he played.
11:17Luke Cornett, there's a reason he got $40 million in free agency.
11:19Like, to Jones' point, Tatum's the only one that's going to rejoin this team.
11:23So, it's sort of like, I got us to this point.
11:24So, when Tatum returns, let's see how it goes.
11:27I do agree with Jones' point where he could have just went with, like, the preseason expectations.
11:30Yeah, just lean on that.
11:31Like, you know, that was the lowest since, what, the 2013-14 season, whenever it was.
11:34Like, you could have leaned on that.
11:36Take a DraftKings fan duel, whatever, over-under.
11:39Here's how we're doing.
11:39But I also think, like, it kind of lines up with those stats that he put out there.
11:45When he just said this is his favorite season he's had.
11:47Yeah, that was the one that, you know, he kind of said.
11:49That really stands out.
11:50But, like, it's no surprise.
11:52Like, he's also talking about how much he has sacrificed.
11:54And I think it's very clear he thinks he can be the best player on the best team.
11:58And this is the first year he's had the opportunity to do it.
12:01You know, his whole career he's had Tatum or the one year he didn't, he had all those other guys.
12:05So, it's like, this is his first year to do it.
12:07And he's proven that he's up for the challenge thus far.
12:09But I think he also wants to make sure everybody's aware of that before Tatum comes back.
12:13The weird thing about that, too, is I feel like Jalen's always thought this is who he is.
12:17Right?
12:17Like, to him, he was always capable of this.
12:20So, it's not a surprise to him.
12:21Right.
12:21That's why he tweeted out.
12:22It's proof.
12:23It's like a living, you know, amplification of what the team did.
12:29It's like, guys, with me as the lead guy, we're the same as last year's team.
12:33And I think that's mostly about Tatum.
12:35But to your point, maybe it's a little about Horford.
12:38We're in the same spot losing four different guys.
12:41And it's because of me.
12:42So, I think he wanted to highlight that for posterity's sake, for the sake of history.
12:46He wanted to put that out there.
12:47And now we're going to remember it much more than just a quote about how it's his favorite season ever.
12:52I remember that.
12:53This graphic is going to resonate a lot more with people.
12:55And I don't think it helps anything for him to do it, quite frankly.
12:58He may not care, but I don't think it helps anything.
13:00Yeah, I think that was another thing.
13:01He just doesn't care at this point.
13:02Like, you know, for years, it's been them two versus each other in the media landscape, in the fan base,
13:08whatever it is.
13:08It's always been them two versus each other.
13:10And at this point, he's just like, I don't care.
13:11Like, we win at a high level.
13:13He talked about this again.
13:14Like I said, at All-Star Break, where it's like, we win at a high level together.
13:17Like, that's the goal.
13:18That's what we want to do.
13:19So, I mean, that's every time you hear them speak, it's about the end all be all is winning.
13:25And I think that's the most important part.
13:27Like, all this extracurricular stuff, I guess it's going to happen in 2026 in the NBA.
13:31Like, that's just the reality.
13:32Well, but Jalen can't have that one both ways, where he's like, I don't get the respect I deserve.
13:38And, you know, I can be this lead guy, and I am one of the best, I'm the best two
13:43-way player.
13:44He can't, he can't push back against all the critiques and then say he doesn't care about any of it.
13:48Like, that's not, those two things can't both be true.
13:51I do agree with that, where he does use it as fuel.
13:53Like, he always mentions, like the first one to mention, like I was booed on draft night.
13:56Like, always brings that up.
13:58He still brings that up.
13:59As two people who were there and booing, I feel like that, you got to move on from that.
14:04Yeah, I'm all for holding a grudge, but you're not even doing it versus the right people.
14:08The owner of the team, well, the owner's son of the team, said that there was going to be fireworks.
14:13Everybody was talking about a trade.
14:15Nobody in New England, well, maybe 1% of New England, saw you play at Cal.
14:20Nobody was watching Cal basketball.
14:22Nobody knew anything about you.
14:23So they didn't boo you.
14:24They didn't boo the player.
14:25They booed the non-trade.
14:27People would have booed if it was Jamal Murray.
14:30Any player they would have booed.
14:31Buddy Heald.
14:32I was trying to think of who else is in that draft.
14:34They would have booed all of them.
14:35Chris Dunn.
14:36Well, there's a couple of Chris Dunn.
14:37People did like Chris Dunn.
14:38He was also one and done in college.
14:40But people would have booed.
14:40That's what I'm saying.
14:40Nobody saw him.
14:41Yeah, right.
14:41Like, a lot of those guys were.
14:42But, like, they didn't boo.
14:43People were booing the pick, not him.
14:45Because everybody thought they were getting Paul George or Jimmy Butler.
14:47And then when they just selected the pick and they're like, we're happy with our pick,
14:50they're like, no, you're not.
14:51Because we all thought there were going to be trades.
14:53So, no, I heard him saying that the other day or somebody was referencing that the other day.
14:55And I'm like, of all things, you got to move on from that.
14:58The fan base didn't know who you were.
15:00They weren't booing you.
15:01Just don't tell me it doesn't bother him.
15:02He still brings that up.
15:03Well, yeah, of course.
15:03It bothers him.
15:04Everything does.
15:04And so, I think there's context to him putting that tweet out.
15:08He is bothered by he's being in Tatum's shadow.
15:11And so, that's why he tweets it out, I think.
15:14What did you think of All-Star Weekend?
15:15Ratings were way up, huh?
15:16Yeah.
15:17I actually, I enjoyed it.
15:18But I don't know if it was necessarily the format that brought the best out of players.
15:21Like, I think Anthony Edwards was asked about it after the first game when he was like,
15:25Wemby set the tone.
15:25Like, when he's done, like, the first possession of the game, he sprints down the court, gets
15:30in position, just post up on, I think it was Cade Cunningham, and throws down a dunk.
15:34But I would argue it was the format.
15:36Because I wonder if Wemby does the same thing if it's just East versus West.
15:40I think those guys, even though they're not representing one country, they're representing
15:43all outside countries together.
15:45I wonder if there's a little bit more motivation there.
15:47Plus, the format allowed for, we're going to do a bunch of short games.
15:51That was the biggest piece.
15:52Yes.
15:52I don't know if it was necessarily like the USA versus World.
15:54It was the shorter games.
15:56Because when you're playing a 48-minute game, right?
15:57Like, a team goes on a big list.
15:59It also wasn't really USA versus World.
16:00It ended up being US versus US.
16:02That's why I don't really credit the format a ton.
16:05Because, like, the world team was bounced.
16:07They went 0-2 and got bounced.
16:08Yeah.
16:08Well, the world team also didn't have their four or four of their five best players.
16:12That's true.
16:12The world team would have the best starting lineup by far if those guys were healthy.
16:16And Luka and Jokic just didn't care.
16:18Right.
16:18I guess I agree with Terp that it wasn't USA versus World, the format that put it over
16:22the top.
16:23But the smaller games.
16:24Short games are smart.
16:25Well, think like when they play a 48-minute game, right?
16:27And a team, what do people always say?
16:29Basketball's a game of runs.
16:30A team goes on a big run, right?
16:31Then you just get, that's when you get guys launching up to the logo.
16:34And they just lose interest.
16:36And you're going to lose interest, of course, in a 48-minute game that no one truly cares
16:39about anyway.
16:40I also just think.
16:40Trying not to get hurt and everything else.
16:42The shorter attention span thing was huge because, you know, it keeps the games close.
16:45And then naturally, when you're in a close game, like towards the end, people are going
16:47to start caring.
16:48They should stick with this.
16:49I liked it.
16:51It's, I don't know.
16:52It also feels like a pickup game, which is kind of, you know, like natural to the sport
16:56where it's like, hey, there's three teams and the winner stays on.
16:59Or I guess they didn't do winner stays on, but you could do it that way.
17:02I feel like it feels like a pickup game, which is true to the sport, which actually does lend
17:07itself pretty well.
17:08I was surprised to see ratings were up massively, though.
17:10Yeah.
17:10And it was also way earlier than I thought.
17:12Like all of a sudden, I'm like, oh, the All-Star game is on?
17:13Put it in prime time to dodge the Olympics.
17:16How many people left on NBC from the Olympics?
17:18And that's the NBA All-Star game.
17:20Got all the credit for that.
17:21Not a bad theory.
17:22No, maybe.
17:22It'll kind of work for them.
17:24But if they can use it, I mean, it's been a hell of a run here, you know, between the
17:27Super Bowl Olympics and this game for NBC has been big.
17:33But no, you hear these stories.
17:35Remember, even like the Dream Team would tell stories about these like pickup games that they
17:38would play.
17:38So they're going to go balls out for these pickup games.
17:41Why can't we see some of that in the All-Star game and let these guys, I know it's in
17:44season,
17:45but still like.
17:45The Redeem Team, too.
17:46Was that when like they were playing King of the Court and Garnett was just like owning
17:50people?
17:50Yeah.
17:50Like just like some of that stuff.
17:53Oh, that might have been earlier.
17:53That was like 2000 maybe.
17:55Okay.
17:55Whatever.
17:56I get your point.
17:56Yeah, there were a lot of those.
17:57King of the Court, Dream Team.
17:58Like some of the, like a peek in on best on best to like that level of game.
18:03Yeah.
18:04Would be great.
18:05How do you replicate it?
18:06Maybe they did a better job of replicating that than they have in a long time.
18:08How about the dunk contest?
18:09Well, I guess my big takeaway from the whole weekend was All-Star Saturday can go.
18:14I legit watched the whole dunk contest.
18:16I watched the whole thing.
18:17When they, I only saw it on Twitter.
18:19I saw that Lillard won the three point.
18:21I missed the three point contest because it was so early.
18:23All of a sudden I saw a tweet.
18:24It was like an alert that Lillard won the three point.
18:26I'm like, I thought that didn't even start until like nine o'clock.
18:28Jason Richardson's kid almost knocked himself out.
18:31I thought it was AI.
18:32I was like, I assume this is fake.
18:33Well, credit to him for getting up and throwing out a respectable dunk after him crashing on the
18:37floor.
18:37I thought he was dead.
18:38Yeah.
18:38He got blocked by the side of the backboard and then almost hit his head on the ground.
18:41He like laid flat.
18:44He did.
18:44He almost did.
18:45It looked like he did.
18:46And then Jackson Hayes, seven footer.
18:47I don't like seven footers in the dunk contest.
18:49Ran down and just dunked.
18:51I think he thought he took off from way further than he actually did.
18:55The pyros going off after mediocre dunks was the best part.
18:57Yeah.
18:59I like Keyshawn Johnson dancing around.
19:01None of you saw me.
19:01That I like.
19:03The guy brought high vibes guy.
19:06Was it Keith?
19:06Was it you that said last week that they should do it like every four years?
19:11Yes.
19:12I'm totally on board.
19:13Honestly, I'm warming up.
19:14I'm warming up to that, Keith.
19:15I initially was very dismissive of that.
19:18Some star power.
19:19Another thing, too, is we've seen all these dunks.
19:21So, like, there's nothing really new.
19:23Mac McClung tweeted out.
19:24Oh, those are sweet.
19:25He tweeted out four dunks that he would have done.
19:27He would have won by a mile.
19:29He's a good dunker.
19:29He's a nobody, but he's a good dunker.
19:31He's not in the league.
19:32No, I've definitely seen that Jackson Hayes dunk done a million times in a warm-up line.
19:36I've seen that dunk in high school.
19:38Everyone just goes between the legs.
19:39It's like, we've seen this.
19:40So bad.
19:41And if it's like a star, there's more star power.
19:42I guess it's more interesting.
19:43But, like, no one just, like, at least locally, I can't imagine.
19:46There's no, like, Celtics in it.
19:47There's no NBA players.
19:49I had to Google Keyshawn Johnson.
19:51I didn't even know who Keyshawn Johnson was.
19:52Yeah, I know.
19:52I had no idea.
19:53Yeah, I thought he had some good dunks.
19:54He could jump.
19:55But, like, I had no clue.
19:57Zero clue who that guy was.
19:58And I don't think you're going to get four All-Stars, but even back in the day, like,
20:01you'd get a Kenny Skywalker and a Terrence Stansbury, but they're in there with Jordan
20:04and Wilkins and Drexler, so they kind of carry the whole thing up a little bit.
20:07So that's – I don't know when that's going to happen again.
20:10The small thing on that, too, why did they start with a three-point contest and then go
20:13to, like, the shooting stars and then go to the dunk contest?
20:16Like, start the –
20:17Have they not been doing that the last couple of years?
20:19I don't remember.
20:19It was always the shooting stars first.
20:20Well, I think they got rid of the skills competition, so they needed to do something.
20:23Yeah, the Knicks won that thing.
20:24They love winning things that just don't matter.
20:26Dude, Allen Houston can still shoot.
20:28Sure, he can.
20:28Still shoot.
20:29Yeah.
20:29Good form on that guy.
20:30Real nice.
20:31Terp, enjoy the West Coast.
20:32When are you leaving?
20:33Tomorrow.
20:33All right.
20:34Tomorrow, yeah.
20:34Give him hell.
20:35Yeah, thank you, guys.
20:36Warriors?
20:37Lakers.
20:38Just those two?
20:39Yeah, I'm just doing those two, yeah.
20:40Okay, nice.
20:41Well, stay tuned to Terp at JustinMTerp and keep it locked in on Twitter.
20:46You can follow all of his Celtics coverage, WEI, as well.
20:50Usually, it's pure hoops every Wednesday at high noon.
20:53We're bumping it up a day.
20:53Terp, good stuff as always.
20:55All right, guys.
20:55All right.
