00:28a compact car travelling from Jelapang toward Lumut suddenly lost control.
00:33The vehicle veered into the opposite lane, colliding head-on with a police patrol car travelling from Lumut toward Jelapang.
00:40The impact proved fatal for three-year-old Chong Zihan, who was a passenger in the compact car.
00:46She was pronounced dead at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital at 4.32pm while receiving treatment.
00:53The driver of the car, 34-year-old Wong Miji, sustained facial injuries in the crash.
00:59Two police officers in the patrol vehicle aged 42 and 48 were also injured, suffering leg injuries, shoulder fractures and cuts to their eyelids.
