00:00Bad Bunny brought love and unity to the 2026 Super Bowl,
00:04and celebrities were quick to weigh in on his halftime performance.
00:08When the Puerto Rican rapper and singer took the stage on Sunday night,
00:12he performed several of his hits, shared the spotlight with Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin,
00:17and ended with two powerful messages.
00:19The only thing more powerful than hate is love, and together we are America.
00:24Following the Grammy Award winner's 13-minute set, the reviews started pouring in.
00:28Kacey Musgraves took to X where she wrote,
00:31Well, that made me feel more proudly American than anything Kid Rock has ever done,
00:35referencing Turning Point USA's alternative halftime show, where Kid Rock served as headliner.
00:40John Mellencamp also took to X where he posted a statement that read,
00:44I don't know what Bad Bunny is saying, however I do know he is standing up for Puerto Rico,
00:49and I am standing up for him. His halftime show was great.
00:52Kerry Washington wrote on threads,
00:54I don't know if I'll ever recover from that. What a show.
00:58She continued,
00:59That performance was the epitome of love, and a wise man once said,
01:03The only thing more powerful than hate is love.
01:06Bad Bunny's Happy Gilmore 2 co-star Adam Sandler told Entertainment Tonight his performance was
01:10unbelievable. He added,
01:12In contrast, Jake Paul shared distaste with Bad Bunny's halftime show, writing on X that he was,
01:24purposefully turning off the halftime show. Let's rally together and show big corporations they can't
01:29just do whatever they want without consequences, which equals viewership for them. You are their
01:35benefit. Realize you have power. Turn off this halftime. A fake American citizen performing who
01:40publicly hates America. I cannot support that.
01:43On the flip side, Jake's brother, Logan Paul, replied to his post, saying,
01:48I love my brother, but I don't agree with this. Puerto Ricans are Americans,
01:52and I'm happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island.
01:57Jake later said his use of the word fake was misinterpreted, and his criticism of Bad Bunny was
02:01due to, quote, his values and criticism of our great country. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump took
02:06Truth Social to call Bad Bunny's halftime show, quote, absolutely terrible. He added,
02:12Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting,
02:16especially for young children that are watching from throughout the USA and all over the world.
