00:00We met with all 14 regional corporations. I personally met with every one of them.
00:14We got their needs. We met with the NCC, Ministry of Culture, and the NCC has 18 regional representatives.
00:23So we also have 18 regional coordinators who will lize directly with the NCC's representatives to ensure that not only Port of Spain, Carnival and Sando and Chaguanas, but our rural and regional carnivals are well covered.
00:53The councillors and aldermen also had the opportunity to nominate persons to work on this programme.
01:00So quite a number of the 1,000 workers were recommended by councillors, as well as MPs, but councillors from the various municipalities,
01:09because they know the people on the ground, they know the people who need the work, who are capable of working, and what we also wanted is for people from those areas to work.
01:20In the Mayaro Corporation, for instance, the beach, the beach from Manzanilla, the beach stretch from Manzanilla to Mayaro, as well as the Guaya Guayari area,

02:03The regional corporations, as they focus on their Carnival activities, they have also engaged equipment such as additional compactors to remove garbage,
