00:00For me, making this film was like, not subject matter, but like the ensembleness
00:04very for color girls, you know what I mean? It is our story. I want every woman
00:09of color, particularly, but you know, black women, to see themselves in one of
00:14these women or parts of the story and then to feel like, yes, yes, I can. Yes,
00:19I can. Number one on my own call sheet.
00:22I came out because I wanted to really support Shola. I've been a big fan of hers. I've been
00:33a friend of hers for many years and I believe in her artistry and she's such a great director
00:38and this is such a great and very important documentary.
00:41This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a generational film, right? It was not.
00:49Our actresses really never again will so many black, will these black women be able to be
00:59in a film like this and if there are interviews, it's truly something that will be able to be
01:04watched 30 years from now, 50 years from now and be very meaningful.
01:08Oh my goodness. So many. Recently Kerry Washington had one just recently on Netflix. Six Triple
01:18Eight was so good. There's so many women in that and strong black female lead. I mean,
01:24it was amazing as well as, help me out again guys, Holly Berry as a boxer. Love that movie.
01:30Knockout? I think so. I love that movie. I mean, there's so many to name, but those are like a few of the
01:39most recent ones that I've really loved.
01:41Raising Cane season four out now. Honestly, it's the first production that I've been a part of with
01:48so many black people. So I feel right at home. You know what I mean? And it kind of spoiled me in a
01:54way because now I'm looking for that everywhere I go and I know that's not the reality, but yeah,
01:59man, it's beautiful. Shout out to, you know, the whole production team over there at Power and Raising Cane.
02:04We'll see you next time.
02:11Bye.
