00:00Hi guys. Oh wait, I'm here. Okay. Hi guys. Are we turning up? Are we having a good time?
00:11Oh, y'all turn. I like that. Okay. The conversations, they're giving, right? It's like the gyms are
00:19just getting more jimmer. I don't know if that's the word. It's okay. Okay. Okay. We're about to
00:25get into some girl talk with some of my faves, you know? So if you're anything like me, your life
00:31just would not be the same without that one group chat full of your closest friends, right? I won't
00:36put y'all business out there because I know what goes on in a group chat. Cause I know I be letting
00:42my group chat. So I ain't even going to put y'all on blast, but let me get to the point. Well, up next,
00:48we're about to have a real life black girl group. I'm sorry. A real life black girl group chat with
00:53a few ladies who I think y'all might know and a little help from our partner at Shea Moisture
00:59to get it started. Let's hear a round of applause for the Essence Girls United co-finder, Rochelle
01:05Dennis and Essence content director, Nandi Howard. Oh, hello. Hello. Can you guys hear me?
01:16How are you girls? So are you guys excited for our next conversation?
01:21Yes. I need it a louder. I need it louder. Are you guys excited for our next conversation?
01:27We, we got, I heard we got the it girls in the house.
01:29No, we got, we got the it girls. Yeah, I heard we got the it girls. But I know all of y'all
01:32in here are it girls and forever the blueprint. Okay. So I want to hear a, hey, if your group
01:39chat is lit. One, two, three. Hey. Okay, Rochelle, I think we're ready to get started. I think we're
01:46ready. I think you guys, you guys sound good. But before we get started though, let me hear
01:50another, hey, if your group chat is lit. Cause I'm not convinced enough. I'm not convinced
01:54either. One, two, three. Okay. I see you. I see you. You must be sending some pictures
02:01in that group chat. Hmm. Hmm. Yeah. All right. Well, to be started again, I am Rochelle Dennis.
02:08I also go by young Shelley, you know, um, and I'm the co-founder of essence girls United.
02:12So thank you so much for being out here and coming out. She said, she said co-founder.
02:18That's big, right? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Okay. And I'm Nandi. I'm the content director here
02:23at essence and essence GU. We're so excited to be here with you guys today. Okay. So now we
02:29know that you guys have lit group chats. Hmm. How many of you guys out there have a close
02:35knit circle of women in your life who hold you down no matter what? Raise your hand, hand
02:40up, raise your hand. Cool. Cool. All right. So then you guys know that the two women that
02:46we're bringing up are super tight, super close and have a rose up in the industry together.
02:51So let's get started ladies. Let's get started. Whoa, what's up everybody. Um, we just wanted
03:16We just wanted to have a really intimate conversation
03:20with these two women about black girl friendships
03:23and the power that it holds.
03:25So I think we all can agree that black women,
03:28there's nothing quite like having your girls turn
03:30at your highest and lowest points, right?
03:32And that's exactly what this next segment is all about.
03:36All right, let's get into it. You guys ready?
03:38You guys ready?
03:39We're ready.
03:40We're ready.
03:41So we live in a complex social world first.
03:44How do your friends encourage you to just do you?
03:47How do you guys be the support system for both of you guys?
03:50I feel like being a great support system is really showing up
03:53and being there rather than, you know, like,
03:55and even listening, like, hearing your friend out.
03:58I listen to Jada all the time.
03:59She listen to me vent all the time.
04:00And not only that, like, big moments for me.
04:02She's always there.
04:03We're always there for each other.
04:05What about you, Jada?
04:06I would just say being each other's inspiration,
04:08each other's motivation.
04:10Like, we feed off each other.
04:12Her energy is the same energy I'm going to give her back.
04:15So it's just, like, all about being on the same, you know,
04:17the same page all the time.
04:18Right, right, definitely.
04:20Yeah, so earlier this summer there was a topic trending on social media
04:23about whether or not it's okay to have that one friend you tell everything to,
04:27including things that other people tell you in confidence.
04:30I know for me, you know, that's not how I really, I like to keep things.
04:35But how about you guys?
04:37So, I'm not even going to lie.
04:41We're going to keep it real here.
04:42Let's be honest.
04:43Let's keep it real.
04:44Des is that friend, like, my friends, like, our other friends in our friend group,
04:48they already know if I'm telling Jada, she going to tell Des.
04:51I don't care.
04:52It don't matter how many times I said don't say nothing.
04:54But that's, and I'm not even going to sit here and say that that's okay
04:57because it's really not.
04:58But this is just.
05:00You be calling her like, girl, let me tell you what.
05:03Hold on.
05:04And don't say I said nothing.
05:05But when you act like you don't know.
05:08Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
05:10I mean, for you Des, how is it for you to just, to be able to trust Jada,
05:14like, you know, and you guys be able to, like, have that person that you can kind of tell everything to?
05:20It keeps me going because I feel like I got somebody I can confide in
05:23without it getting out or getting to nobody.
05:26And I can tell, like, my deepest, darkest secrets and it's safe with her.
05:29Yeah.
05:30You know, I feel safe with my friend.
05:31And that means everything.
05:32For sure.
05:33What, um, is the biggest challenge with maintaining y'all's friend group?
05:37Like, especially with y'all's new show and all of that, how can you just maintain y'all being close?
05:42Um, so me and Des have been friends since we had these followers on Instagram.
05:49Mm-hmm.
05:50Since before, you know, we was wearing watches and looking cute.
05:53So it was, well, we always look cute.
05:55Y'all know what I'm saying.
05:57Y'all know what I'm saying.
05:58But, um, before all of this, this new everything, notoriety, all of this came.
06:03Yeah.
06:04So we've always just had that understanding between each other.
06:06Like, we gonna be somebody, but we not gonna change what we got right here.
06:10The foundation gonna stay the same.
06:12So I feel like as long as you got that mentality with someone you came up with, or even if it's
06:17somebody you just met who is a genuine, solid friendship.
06:19Yeah.
06:20It's gonna work.
06:21It's gonna work.
06:22Yeah.
06:23And a lot of people, a lot of women, they talk about other girls like being jealous of
06:27them and being envious.
06:28I feel like instead of doing that, be inspired.
06:30If you, if your friend is a boss, she should really inspire you.
06:32Just like you said, we inspire each other.
06:34So it's like, yeah, just be inspired.
06:37Take notes.
06:38Don't hate on your friends.
06:39Always uplift them.
06:40Don't hate.
06:41That's not cute.
06:42Yeah.
06:43We, we don't do that.
06:44We, um, me and Des always, like, we like hanging around the pretty girls.
06:46We like being, if you got good energy, we're gonna take you in.
06:49We've never been a type, like, we don't, uh-uh, y'all can't hang with us.
06:52Like, no, come out with us.
06:53We gonna, we's about to turn up.
06:54Let's go.
06:55Exactly.
06:56Get the energy.
06:57And that's everything to me.
06:59Yeah.
07:00Like, to our whole friend group.
07:01Like, you can vibe with us.
07:02We not the, the mean, stuck up girls.
07:04Like, we, we wanna have fun.
07:05Yeah.
07:06We like being mixy.
07:07Put us in the mix.
07:08Put us right in the mix.
07:09Y'all heard that, right?
07:11Alright, so what's one of your favorite things to do with the girls when you just
07:15need a break from everything, get away?
07:17Go to Miami.
07:18Mm-hmm.
07:19Yeah.
07:20What happens in Miami?
07:21Faze in Miami.
07:22I feel like my favorite thing to do is just, like, real chill, intimate time.
07:26Just, like, going out to eat, talking over drinks, or just going to her house, sleepover,
07:30watching movies, and we just have, we love a good vent session, and a good, you know.
07:35I feel like because we see you guys on social media, it's kinda interesting to hear y'all
07:39have vent sessions, y'all still have sleepovers, it's not, yeah.
07:42That's cool to hear.
07:43That's important, girls, to remember to still have that one-on-one time with your friends.
07:47Yeah, and then it's also, like, misleading, cause, like you just said, y'all, you don't
07:51get to see that side of things, and I'm like, it's okay to not post everything.
07:55Like, if me and Des, we going through something, the whole world won't even, cause we don't
07:59always see eye to eye, but it's not everybody's business to know that.
08:03So, when we have in our vent sessions, when somebody in a friend group going through something,
08:07that kinda stays between us.
08:08Privacy is very important, and friendships, you know, you can't let them know everything.
08:12Everything is not for everybody.
08:14Do you guys feel that pressure, or feel like that there's pressure that social media places
08:18on you guys as friends, and your friendship?
08:21Not really, and I think that's because, like, we are really friends.
08:25Like, we genuine friends, we grew up together.
08:27So, it's really nothing nobody can say or do to make us alter how we feel about each other.
08:32What would you guys say with your new show, cause they on TV now, can we get a hand clap for that?
08:37Clap it up!
08:38With your new show, what would you say is challenging?
08:41Because I know it's reality TV, and, you know, I know that that can't always be fun,
08:45but how do you guys maintain that while shooting a reality television show?
08:49Oh!
08:52It's different.
08:53You know, you getting on there, and you sharing everything with the world
08:56without having control of, like, the narrative.
08:58So, it's a bit scary, you know?
09:00And me, I'm very private.
09:01I feel like me being private is, like, protecting my peace.
09:04So, it took a lot for me to actually get on there and be willing to, like, show everything to y'all.
09:09Des didn't want to do the show.
09:12I made her do it because I said, if I'm not, I'm not about to get on there by myself.
09:17So, I made, literally, she backed out.
09:19She kept backing out.
09:21We even filmed together and both backed out at the same time.
09:24We both said we weren't doing the show.
09:26And then, yeah, like, it was kind of hard for us because we are, like, we share a lot on social media,
09:34but we are private.
09:36Like, a lot of things people don't see.
09:38A lot of things they don't know that we go through.
09:40So, it's like, are we ready to share this with the world and open up just a can of opinions that don't even matter?
09:45And you just never know at reality TV how things can turn or they make things look or they take this part out and not put this part in.
09:53So, it's very challenging, but we are here with each other.
09:57So, nothing could ever get in between what me and her got.
10:00I think you guys should know that it's really encouraging to see you guys on TV.
10:04I think even though it may be a little difficult for you guys, I think we grew up in the age where loving hip-hop, the fighting, all of that.
10:11But to see y'all being bosses, business women, it's encouraging.
10:14So, we appreciate it.
10:16And seeing you guys, even the synergy, the energy here, like how you guys said, you guys are really friends in real life.
10:23So, my next question is, because I know a lot of you guys in the room have girls that comment underneath your photos, but may not be your friend in real life.
10:33So, how do you guys continue to strengthen that bond and what do you feel about people who do have that, you know, who don't have that real friendship in real life, but on social media?
10:48Honestly, the internet, you can't get too consumed in that.
10:53You just got to go off good vibes and good energy, because don't get me wrong, I've met a lot of people who are in my life off of social media.
11:00But what you see on the internet is not what you really get.
11:04It's all about what's in the real world.
11:06Like, one of our friends, for instance, we met her off of Instagram.
11:09She was a hairstylist, and we took her in because it's like, nah, your energy is perfect.
11:14You can vibe with it.
11:16You know what I'm saying?
11:17So, I don't really get too caught up in Instagram, but I go off what's in real life, what's in my face.
11:24For sure, for sure.
11:25Did I answer that right?
11:26Yeah, you did, you did.
11:29What are some of you guys' favorite things to say to each other when you're just trying to encourage one another, lift each other up?
11:36Maybe Dez, you call Jada, Jada, you call Dez, and just say, girl, I'm going through it today.
11:41What are some things you guys say to each other just to stay encouraging?
11:44Can I go?
11:45Yeah, you can go.
11:46Get your ass out the house, do your hair, and we outside.
11:49Like, girl, what you...
11:50We outside with.
11:51What are you doing?
11:52We outside.
11:53Like, we not about to sit around being sad.
11:55Like, no.
11:56It is hard to not be able to, you know, sometimes you do need off time.
12:01Like, I want to sit in the house being sad with my lights off, my windows down, I mean my blinds down.
12:06Like, some days it gives that, but no, we not about to get stunk in this dark space.
12:10No, it's time to get outside.
12:11We about to figure it out.
12:13We going somewhere.
12:15Mm-hmm.
12:16The reassurance is everything.
12:17I might call Jada like, ugh, I just don't know.
12:19It's not working for me.
12:20I feel like it's this and that and this.
12:21And she just reassured me like, girl, you was on the right track.
12:23You 24 years old.
12:25You doing this all by yourself.
12:26So, like, yeah, the reassurance be everything.
12:28The past and me come out.
12:29I'm always, it gets worse before it gets better.
12:32That's my favorite thing to say.
12:33Uh-huh.
12:34It always get worse before it's the calm before the storm, girl.
12:36Yeah, yeah.
12:37You got this.
12:38Definitely, definitely.
12:39Okay, so I'm going to put everybody on the spot real quick with these last two questions.
12:45Okay, so the holidays are coming up.
12:48I want you guys to give me two do's and two don'ts for gifting your girl presents.
12:53And we see your IG, y'all be getting the presents, okay?
12:56I know.
12:57We see them presents.
12:58We see the Chanel.
13:01Try not to get something somebody already got.
13:03Like, if they got a lot of bags.
13:04Oh, please.
13:05Shade.
13:06Wait.
13:07That is so, no, no, no, no, y'all.
13:08That is shady.
13:09Let me tell y'all because Lele got me these boots and I got this.
13:12That wasn't even what I was talking about.
13:13Oh, I'm about to.
13:14Look, a hit dog.
13:15That's not even what I was talking about.
13:16A hit dog.
13:17I'll holler for everybody.
13:18Like, if you, if, look, if you see one of your friends, like, y'all got a lot of
13:22bags or a lot of shoes and stuff, I like to think outside the box and do something,
13:26get something more meaningful.
13:27Am I?
13:28No, no, no, no, no.
13:29That's right.
13:30Okay.
13:31Yeah.
13:32You're right.
13:33What about you, Jada?
13:34What's some do's and don'ts for gifting your girls for the holidays?
13:37Don't get me nothing too expensive.
13:40I always tell my friends that.
13:42Okay.
13:43Like, keep it cute.
13:44Don't get me nothing too expensive.
13:45I don't even be liking that stuff for real.
13:47I like buying myself the expensive stuff.
13:49Mm-hmm.
13:50Um, so that's one of the don'ts.
13:52Um, a do is, I don't know.
13:57Hmm.
13:58Are you a good gift giver?
13:59I'm a good, like, I give the best gift.
14:01You're the great, okay.
14:02Everyone.
14:03Des, why are you laughing?
14:04No, she ain't lying.
14:05She ain't lying.
14:06No.
14:07I give the best gift.
14:08Okay, okay, okay, okay.
14:09Cool.
14:10My friends, they'll try to, like, go over the top.
14:11Because when everybody's birthday come, I'm always, like, going over the top for everybody.
14:15But I always tell them, like, I don't care.
14:17You don't have to spend a whole bunch of money on me.
14:19Like, I'm satisfied with the small things.
14:21Okay.
14:22Damn.
14:23Dope, dope, dope.
14:24So, last question.
14:25Give us three songs that stayed on repeat on your girls' trip last summer.
14:30Last summer?
14:31Or.
14:32Or yesterday.
14:33Yesterday.
14:34Not yesterday.
14:35Hmm.
14:36Well, well, well.
14:37Stone Cold.
14:38We listen to that all the time.
14:40We listen to that all the time.
14:41We listen to that all the time.
14:42Stone Cold.
14:43What's the new Uzi song?
14:44Oh, I just want to rock.
14:45I just want to rock.
14:46We listen.
14:47That's been on repeat.
14:48That's been on repeat.
14:49Yeah, that's the activation song.
14:50What's the third one?
14:51Two Shots In, you listen to that song?
14:53Oh, please.
14:54It's up from there.
14:55But what's the third one?
14:56What's the third one?
14:57I've been listening to Dez and Mariah the Scientist.
15:00That's what I've been listening to.
15:01That's, like, number one.
15:03We listen to that all the time.
15:04Uh-huh.
15:05We need a video.
15:06Yes.
15:07We need an EP.
15:08Yeah, yeah.
15:09If we need a video for that, can I hear some noise?
15:11Yeah!
15:12We need a video.
15:13It's on the way, y'all.
15:15I promise.
15:16Oh, so we got a video coming.
15:17Okay, okay.
15:18Y'all heard it here first.
15:19Girls United.
15:20Amazing.
15:21Well, I think, should we take some questions, Rochelle?
15:24Yeah, let's take some questions.
15:25Okay, okay.
15:26We're opening it up to a few questions.
15:27So just come up to this mic right here, or we'll bring it to you.
15:31Hi, I'm Jada.
15:32Hey, Jada.
15:33So my question is, how were you able to, like, obviously you guys had, like, friend groups
15:41before, you know, everything, like, blew up.
15:44I don't know.
15:45I don't know.
15:46I don't know.
15:47But how did you know who was a girl boss and who wasn't going to bring you anywhere?
15:52Ooh.
15:53Good question.
15:54That's a great question.
15:55That's so good.
15:56Yeah.
15:57So, um...
15:58Why did we think of that?
15:59Right.
16:00Everybody in our friend group got day on motion.
16:03Like, they got their own businesses.
16:05They do a service.
16:06Like, we like to be around girl bosses.
16:09Even before we even started, like, being on social media and stuff, like, we always hung
16:14with, like, the smart girls.
16:15Like, we just had, like, a vibe of friends we automatically would just connect with.
16:20So I think now we just, it still is like that.
16:23Like, we're not hanging around just anybody.
16:25Like, you gotta have a good head on your shoulders.
16:27You gotta be smart.
16:29You gotta, like, just have, you know, a good head on your shoulders.
16:31That's the main thing.
16:32You don't even gotta be smart.
16:33But...
16:34You gotta just have some sense.
16:36Common sense.
16:37That goes far.
16:38And you just can't be, like, too on the rah-rah.
16:41Like, cause we are private at the end of the day.
16:43Like, we try to keep as much private and we not with that internet stuff at all.
16:48And I feel like sometimes somebody might not even see the potential in themselves.
16:52So, like, we might meet somebody and we see so much potential in you and we be like,
16:55you should do this.
16:56Yes.
16:57Or this will work for you, you know?
16:58So, yeah.
16:59Or if, yeah, cause potential is very, very key.
17:03Cause, like, a lot of times, Lele, for instance, prime example, she just wanted to do makeup.
17:08And we like, girl, no.
17:09You need to start singing.
17:10Get in the studio.
17:11Exactly.
17:12So, it's just all about having potential and we see it and you just connect with our energy.
17:17It's gonna work.
17:18Like, yeah.
17:19Yeah.
17:20Cool.
17:21All right.
17:22Next question.
17:23Hi.
17:24My name is Jordan.
17:25I go to Spelman.
17:26I'm an entrepreneur.
17:27I have a clothing brand called Pretty Street.
17:29So, Jayda and Des, cause y'all are both entrepreneurs.
17:32Jayda, in the episode of Impact, you talked about how you ordered a whole bunch of shipment
17:36and you had placement issues.
17:37So, I go through that too, having, like, overseas vendors.
17:39How do you keep going?
17:40Because a lot of that is, you go through spending so much money and then you wasted a whole bunch
17:45of money on this one, this one set of inventory and now you have to keep going and keep, like,
17:50you went through not having inventory for a couple of hours and pushing back and drop,
17:53which I know how that is as an entrepreneur.
17:55So, how'd you keep going?
17:56And Jess, how do you keep going through music?
17:58Like, even with, like, not having a label or not being supported by everybody else and
18:02have to spend your own money.
18:03How do you keep going through those hard times?
18:06Des, you could answer first.
18:07Believing in yourself, you know, that's first.
18:11And it does get hard, but I feel like, don't let it break you, you know?
18:17Like, you gotta get up, you gotta keep going, you gotta, having a good support system, it
18:21helps a lot because I always say that, like, my team, they help me keep going.
18:24Like, my manager, my assistants, my photographers, like, they inspire me every day too.
18:31And y'all, like, y'all showing me love, even though I get a lot of hate, but the love
18:35mean a lot to me.
18:37And, yeah, it keeps me going.
18:39And also, just like, have a plan.
18:42Like, does know what she want, regardless of who in the room may not feel it.
18:46She know what she want at the end of her career path.
18:48She know what she want out of what she's doing.
18:50And as long as you have that end goal in your mind, like, I know I want to make this
18:54amount of money when I launch this, it's gonna happen.
18:56It's not gonna be smooth.
18:58Like I just said, it get worse before it gets better.
19:00And just imagine if I would've got that shipment and I would've been like, forget it.
19:04I wouldn't have sold out when I dropped again.
19:06You know what I'm saying?
19:07So it's all about that end goal.
19:08What do you really want out of this?
19:10And it's gonna be times where you go through stuff.
19:14Like, that's just what being an entrepreneur is.
19:16Being successful is not easy.
19:17It's not supposed to be easy.
19:19So just keep going.
19:20Know what you want out of it and don't stop.
19:22I don't care who's against it, what you gotta go through.
19:25My site just literally glitched.
19:27And over $100,000, I had to figure out what I'm about to do and get everybody their correct size.
19:33It was a lie.
19:34And I easily could've said, you know what, F it.
19:37But I was like, nah, heck no.
19:39We about to figure this out, get on the phone.
19:41I stayed up almost 24 hours just on my computer, on my phone, emailing people back myself to figure it out.
19:47And look, sold out.
19:49Almost sold out.
19:51So it's like, just know what you want.
19:53It's not supposed to be easy.
19:55It's not.
19:56If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.
19:58Yeah, exactly.
20:00We're gonna take two more questions.
20:01Hey, y'all.
20:02I'm Noray.
20:03I go to Clark.
20:04Okay, Clark in the building.
20:08So I'm an entrepreneur as well.
20:10I do hair.
20:11I have a large following on Instagram, but I just moved out here.
20:14So my question is like, how do you get to like the higher people, like the people who do y'all hair and stuff?
20:19Like, how did y'all get in contact with them?
20:21Did they text y'all first or did y'all find them?
20:23Like, how do you get to navigate celebrity hair as a hairstylist?
20:27So my main advice to anybody I encounter, even my hairstylist for instance, let it come to you.
20:33Okay.
20:34You know what I'm saying?
20:35Work hard enough to where they reaching out to you.
20:36They in your DMs.
20:37Don't go looking for it.
20:39Let it come to you.
20:40And once it comes to you, it's nothing nobody can say.
20:44Nothing nobody can say, oh, well, she reached out to me.
20:47I'm only doing her hair because she reached out.
20:48No, they reached out to me.
20:50They want me to do this for them.
20:52So just keep working hard.
20:53They're going to come.
20:54My hairstylist, I found him on Instagram.
20:56He couldn't believe when I messaged him.
20:57I'm like, boy, I want my hair done.
20:59Forget all that other stuff.
21:00Like, if you're going to put me on a schedule, you know what I'm saying?
21:03Like, that's what it's about.
21:04Work hard enough to where you don't even got to introduce yourself.
21:06They coming to you.
21:07Can I leave y'all a business card?
21:08Yes.
21:09And you can.
21:11So you do hair?
21:12Yes, I do.
21:13Don't stop posting your work either, even if you feel like people are not seeing it.
21:16Like, stay consistent.
21:17Keep putting it out there.
21:18We love some braids.
21:19We love some braids.
21:20I love braids.
21:21And I think to take away, to kind of pick back off Jada, it's important.
21:24Content is important these days, y'all.
21:26Posting your work, being consistently posting your work.
21:30Consistent.
21:31Yeah, being consistent.
21:32Because y'all know sometimes you'll post on TikTok, then you'll like not post for like
21:35two, three weeks.
21:36Is anybody guilty of that?
21:37Because I am.
21:38Yeah.
21:39And so you just got to stay consistent.
21:40And like Jada said, they'll come to you.
21:42All right.
21:43We'll do two last questions.
21:44Are you in line?
21:45She's fine.
21:46And then you two, right?
21:47Okay, yeah.
21:48Go, go, go.
21:49Okay.
21:50Hey, everybody.
21:51My name is Kalia Thornton.
21:52I'm a business student at FAMU.
21:53Okay.
21:54Okay.
21:55Florida.
21:56Okay.
21:57And my question is more towards promotions.
21:59So what makes you want to work with a brand?
22:01For example, if a brand contacts you via email, what makes you like, what type of things
22:06are you looking for when they contact you?
22:08I feel like I like for things to fit my aesthetic.
22:11You know, like if I'm going to do clothing promotion, I want it to be something that I'm
22:15into wearing already.
22:17Like I like it to be organic.
22:18So yeah, that's like my main thing.
22:21I would always tell my manager because they send stuff to my emails all day long.
22:26And I always say, if it's not something I'm going to go online and order with my own
22:29car, I don't want to promote it.
22:30I don't want it on my page.
22:31I don't want to even act like I like this when I don't.
22:34So as long as it's just natural, naturally something that I would wear or promote or want
22:39to promote, then, you know, I just look for like a, you don't even have to have a lot
22:44of followers.
22:45I work with a lot of companies that don't have a lot of followers.
22:47Just like fit my vibe, you know, like something I like, whatever.
22:50I don't care about followers.
22:51It doesn't matter to me because I'm going to bring the followers.
22:53Okay.
22:54But just be, you know, just a clean page.
22:58You know what I'm saying?
22:59Like you're not all over the place and you're consistent.
23:01Consistency is everything to me.
23:03If I go on a page and I see, okay, they work with the same model.
23:06Oh, they have a way of how they post.
23:08Their page looks clean.
23:09Okay.
23:10Yeah.
23:11I want, I want my work with this company.
23:12Yeah.
23:13Okay.
23:15You're welcome.
23:16And last question.
23:17Hello.
23:18My name's Abria.
23:19And my question is basically, can you give a tip to the young bosses?
23:22Because I feel like both of you guys, since y'all was in high school, y'all just got
23:27it.
23:28And I feel like what's that, what tip would you say to take it to the next level?
23:32I kind of, I feel like I kind of relate.
23:34Like I'm a hairstylist.
23:35I love fashion.
23:36I feel like I could get there, but I need just a little tweaking on my journey.
23:41So what's a tip for young bosses?
23:43Always try to outdo yourself, you know, try to be better than the person you was yesterday.
23:48Like, you know, don't get caught up in other people's journey.
23:51Like we said before, stay consistent and focus on your craft and know what you want out of
23:55it.
23:56Set goals and manifest.
23:57Like we've been manifesting since we were young, without even knowing.
24:00Without even knowing.
24:01We used to literally be in my sister car like, one day we're going to be in a drop top.
24:05Yes.
24:06Oh, one day we're going to have this.
24:07We're going to have this.
24:08We're going to be wearing this.
24:09Like, and we're doing it.
24:10So it's all about that end goal, what you really want.
24:13And you tell yourself that every day, you're going to get it.
24:15I don't care what nobody say.
24:17And you are so cute.
24:19Love the outfit.
24:20Love the fit.
24:21And it's all about just doing you.
24:23Just do you.
24:24Cause somebody going to see it and it's going to work out for you.
24:27So just keep being yourself.
24:29And two, one more thing.
24:30It's power in the pen.
24:31I write a lot of stuff down.
24:32Like I write my goals down.
24:34I write what I want and I'm very clear with it.
24:36So I feel like that plays a big part too.
24:38Okay.
24:40Yeah.
24:41That's a business card.
24:42Of course.
24:43Y'all heard all those gems, right?
24:44Yes.
24:45Clap it up.
24:46Clap it up.
24:47Yes.
24:48You look so cute.
24:49So cute.
24:50Yes.
24:51You look very cute.
24:52This outfit screams dance.
24:55I love it.
