00:00I'm Traion Johnson and this is my She Got Now HBCU experience.
00:07So at the time I was honestly just looking for a summer job,
00:11not really anticipating on getting a full-time offer,
00:14but I had no idea this would impact my life in such a dramatic way.
00:18From looking at the program, the big thing that stood out for me was
00:21it's a program that's targeted towards black women
00:24and increasing black women in corporations.
00:26More specifically for this program,
00:28it was for increasing black women within the Pepsi organization.
00:33So I thought that was really cool, really important.
00:35It was just really nice to see Pepsi not being one of those performative companies
00:39that act like they want to help push forward different initiatives
00:44that's what's socially happening and stuff,
00:46but it was nice to see them actually have initiatives put forward
00:51to increase those numbers of diversity within the company.
00:54So that was really important for me when selecting
00:57where I wanted to work at and for moving forward with the program.
01:01With those things that I've learned,
01:03I was able to connect the dots from working with my mentor
01:08and I was able to use those skills to manifest
01:11and become a full-time employee with Pepsi.
01:14I hope as many women as possible get a chance to have this experience
01:18with the She Got Now program.
01:19The She Got Now program.
