00:00The thing that makes me stand out most as an artist would be the fact that I
00:13played the violin. I mean the obvious. Aside from that it would be my passion.
00:17Three of my favorite covers that I loved the most would have to be
00:21Unthinkable by Alicia Keys, Am I Wrong by Nico and Vince, and Adorned by Miguel.
00:28Before I became an artist I was I've been an artist for so long I've been playing
00:34violin since I was eight so I guess I was somebody's son. I'm still someone's son
00:39but I was someone's young son. Before I got into the music industry I wish someone
00:43would have told me a lot of people will come out of the woodworks and say that
00:47they're my cousin. If I can collaborate with any other artists it would be there's so
00:54many. Kendrick Lamar, Alabama Shakes, The Weeknd, Miguel, Whitney Houston if she was
00:59still here. My most memorable gig to date has been performing for President Obama.
01:05That was dope. The song I performed for the President and First Lady was a song I
01:10wrote called Broken Sorrow. I was I was nervous during that performance and I
01:17never get nervous but I'm sure you'd understand why. The songs that I would
01:21recommend for people listen to to get to know my sound would be Awaken, Phoenix,
01:27and Love Notes. My first time performing at Essence Festival was in 2007. My first
01:34time performing in the Super Lounge and just being around black excellence it was
01:39incredible. If you miss my 2018 Essence Fest performance you'll be missing out on
01:45a damn good time so make sure you show up.
