00:20free we have it on our phones all the time everyone's on their phone we're always scrolling
00:24you know market your stuff on Instagram send it to your friends and family allow them to share it
00:31with their following I think that that is a really a really great tool we have to exploit our our our
00:41resources and the things that we have right at our fingertips and quickly you're an editor you get
00:45products all the time how how advantageous is it to send her products to different editors or the
00:52beauty blogs it's very key I mean I get a lot of things that come across my desk they don't request
00:57that I end up loving I also look through social media and look what my friends are suggesting and
01:03then I'll reach out to that company and ask them for their products to test so it is a community I
01:09think that you just build that community and you build your success upon that community all right
01:15we got some good answers for y'all all right we have a few more questions from women who want to
01:18weigh in on that last one sure she said starting her company right marketing capital and sales so
01:23one thing about owning your own business is that you're not going to be able to afford your own
01:28marketing people or a marketing budget an ad budget a publicist none of those things unless if you're in
01:33the small percentage of people that get investors or they have a loan family financing whatever the
01:39best marketing tool for anybody starting a new business is testimonials from people who have tried
01:44your product or service leverage that get as many testimonials as you possibly can and use them so
01:50that's what you take to social media don't just keep posting products or whatever it is that you want
01:56to say you have to have you have to take them the approach that don't take my word for it listen to these
02:01people because that way it doesn't feel like it's an inauthentic sale it sounds like it's somebody
02:07testifying that I've done this I'm telling you this works that's how you build a product I would like to know
02:12where would I get money to start my own business banks are an option not not necessarily so much
02:19for african-americans but it is an option I would definitely get network within the sba they're
02:24claiming to get better at that um also register your company with the city of new york as a mwbe
02:29and whatever city or market that you're in with new york exactly and also we're registered with the
02:34state there's definite opportunities for registering and then networking everything takes time right and
02:41then also there are angel investors
