00:00I'm Gabrielle. I'm 13 years old and I'm behind the scenes of the Essence cover
00:19suit with Misty Coughlin. You are a role model to so many dancers, including me. Who is
00:36your role model? Probably Paloma Herrera. She probably was someone as a dancer that I really,
00:43really looked up to, but someone who's a role model to me even to this day is a former ballerina,
00:49her name is Raven Wilkinson. She's one of the first African-American ballerinas to dance with
00:54a major ballet company and she's like a mentor to me. I can't live without my phone and ballet
01:00shoes, so what can't you live without? I probably can't live without music, like it's something that
01:06gets me up in the morning, it's something that gives me inspiration and motivation no matter
01:11what I'm going through, whether I'm happy or sad or nervous, music seems to be the one thing that
01:18keeps me calm. At Fanswers we face rejection, how do you handle rejection? It's I think just really
01:28having a lot of confidence and belief in yourself and not comparing yourself to the girls around you
01:34and just trying to do the best that you can do. I feel like it's not about forcing yourself into
01:40positions that just aren't right for you. Everyone hears no at some point or they're not right for
01:48whatever it is they want to do and I think that it's possible to go and find the right place for
01:54you to be and to fit in and to hear the words yes.
