00:00So now we're here with Nicole and Tippi's going to show us how to go from a beautiful day look to a fabulous evening look.
00:10With Nicole's hair, she has like relaxed hair, a cute little blunt cut.
00:14So Tippi, what would you do with her hair?
00:16Well, she has a really great foundation to start with.
00:18I love the shape and it's pretty smooth, which is really great for daytime.
00:22And again, could be great for night, but I'm going to add a little texture to her, add a little baboon to her style.
00:28Okay, a little ooh la la, if you will.
00:31So let's see Tippi do her thing.
00:32Oh, Tippi, look at what you did to Nicole.
00:34You gave her like a bob within a bob.
00:37Like a faux bob.
00:38What did you do here?
00:39I started off by blow drying her hair, even though it was dry, but I did it to kind of create direction.
00:44So I brought the front to her face to kind of give her a little friend.
00:47Then I sprayed the hair.
00:49I don't like to spray and curl.
00:51I like to spray, let it set, and then I go in and curl.
00:54Giving her really loose, like a loose wave texture, kind of the texture that you see,
00:59being worn by like Zoe Saldana and Beyonce.
01:01Just really kind of bed head texture, no real rhyme or reason to it.
01:06And one tip that I gave her about creating curls on fine hair is when you're curling,
01:13you should curl in opposite directions while, so your first row is going to the right,
01:17second row is going to the left because it allows the curls to stack on one another creating body.
01:21Then I noticed that because her hair is fine, I didn't really like the solid line.
01:26So actually, you know, you kind of have to think on the fly.
01:29So I started to like smooth it all back and grouped it and kind of gave her a faux bob within a bob,
01:34which is great because our first lady, you know, was giving a faux bob all day long.
01:38So like, Nicole, what do you think?
01:40I love it.
01:41It's fabulous and I love the volume.
01:43Yeah, it's all about volume, especially for spring.
