00:00Darlene is going to get a bright lip and Chelsea is going to get a bright eye.
00:15So Mimi's going to get to work on that.
00:17As you're working, what's the key to doing eye shadow?
00:22I think the key to doing eye shadow is tools.
00:25A lot of people don't invest in the right brushes or the right products.
00:29If you don't have brushes, it's like having on like a fabulous Gucci gown and sneakers.
00:34It's just pointless.
00:36So you need the tools.
00:38So how many brushes do you need?
00:40I would probably say for eyes, something flat to lay down anything creamy or to put just one eye shadow on your eye.
00:48And then something small and fluffy to make the product move or to blend the eye shadow.
00:53Okay, now, and how important is blending?
00:56Blending is your friend.
00:58If you're not blending, it's pretty much pointless or it looks like you just connected the dots on your eyes.
01:04How do you prepare the eye?
01:05Do you need to put primer or foundation or concealer on the eye?
01:09I'm starting off with a concealer that's long wearing.
01:12But you can also do an eye shadow primer as well.
01:15And I'm just putting a little bit on the back of my hands.
01:18And I'm going to take my flat brush that's synthetic and just place it on her lid.
01:23So you guys shouldn't really see it.
01:25It's just something that's very, very sheer.
01:27If you start to see it, that means you did too much.
01:30So what's the best way to apply shadow?
01:33The same way we did her concealer.
01:35Pressing and you want to start out and work your way in.
01:38So again, out, work your way in.
01:42That's it.
01:44Once you put the concealer, the concealer just gives you wheels and it just makes your life a million times easier.
01:50It also makes the color pop.
01:53So now we're doing blending.
01:55This is where the windshield wiper is okay.
01:58Now we have a fluffy brush.
02:00Something small, fluffy.
02:02It can be any color.
02:03It doesn't matter.
02:04I'm just using a natural brown shadow.
02:06Something matte, meaning no shine.
02:09I'm picking up the color.
02:12And I'm just going in her crease.
02:15Your crease is the part of your eye that folds in when your eye remains open.
02:19Now you want to always start out and work your way in.
02:23And this is the time when your windshield wiper is okay?
02:26Yes.
02:27Not when you're putting the base of your color on, but when you're putting the darker shadow in your crease.
02:34And just take your time and blend the color.
02:39So ladies, what I'm doing now is taking a lighter concealer and I'm putting it under her brow.
02:45A lot of ladies want to know, well, how do I get that Carrie Hilson brow?
02:49How do I get that Beyonce brow?
02:51This is how.
02:52You take a concealer that's a little bit lighter than your skin tone.
02:55You follow the shape of your brow.
02:57You go back to your fluffy brush.
03:00And you blend.
03:03Flawless.
03:04Okay, so now we're going to move on to lip and a bright lip.
03:10Who mostly wears neutral lip shades here?
03:13Who wants to try color but is afraid?
03:15Primer is your absolute best friend.
03:18Primer is like double-sided tape for the lips.
03:21So what kind of primer should we be looking for for the lip?
03:25What do we put on?
03:26Invest in a great lip primer because it's going to make the color of your lip product be vibrant.
03:31But it's also going to resist flaking and any type of cracking or creasing.
03:36And it won't compromise the texture of your lip color.
03:39Okay, what do we do to stop our lipstick from bleeding?
03:43You know, people don't want to wear the lip pencil.
03:47Lip pencil.
03:48Don't leave house without it.
03:50So.
03:51A lip pencil is like a picture with a frame.
03:54That's the best way I would describe it.
03:57I always try to decide first, do you want to frame the lip color or do you want it to be a little bit more intense?
04:03For me, most of the time, I want to do both.
04:06So I go a little bit deeper.
04:08Okay.
04:09And then if I want it to be a little more intense, when I get to the bottom, I cheat it by going in a little bit more and smudging inward with the lip pencil.
04:18Okay.
04:19Besides primer and pencil, do you, how do you keep the lipstick on longer?
04:26I would also say investing in a lip brush.
04:29Again, tools are really, really important.
04:32With a lip brush, you can control how much of the product goes on and you can make it go on a lot smoother and faster and easier.
04:41Okay.
04:42I start with the bottom lip, open, and I just lightly fill and then press.
04:51And that way I can decide if it's too intense, if I want a little bit more color, a little bit more pop, and then I can go back in and add a little bit more.
05:01You see how a lip can just change your outlook?
05:04Okay.
05:05So we want to thank Chelsea, Darlene, and of course, Mimi.
05:10Didn't she do a great job, y'all?
05:12Show you how quickly you can change your look.
05:17Bye.
05:18Bye.
05:19Bye.
05:20Bye.
05:21Bye.
05:22Bye.
05:23Bye.
05:24Bye.
