00:00When did it really break for you
00:01and you started to become the legend that you are today?
00:05Well, yeah, I had been doing hair probably
00:07about maybe a good three or four years in entertainment
00:11when I met Beyonce.
00:13I worked with her on a movie called Carmen Jones.
00:15And then later on when she did Austin Powers,
00:17I worked with her.
00:18And then after that,
00:19I started working with her on a regular basis.
00:23You know, her mother asked me, you know,
00:24would you like to work with her?
00:25And I was like, oh, yeah.
00:27And so after that, you know,
00:31it really opened a lot of doors for me.
00:33I started, I was able to,
00:34because it was difficult being able to get a job
00:37to do a covers of magazines.
00:38And because of her, I was able to, you know,
00:41grace many covers, you know, Essence and, you know,
00:45Vogue and all these different magazines,
00:47which really helped my career.
00:49And then always giving opportunities
00:51for me to work on great projects.
00:54So I want to say, you know,
00:55she really opened the doors, you know,
00:59letting me show my work on her.
01:01And it got me lots of exposure.
01:03And it really helped my career soar.
