00:08The ban makes China the first country to outlaw the design under new safety rules issued by the
00:14Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The rules require mechanical door releases on
00:20both the inside and outside of vehicles sold in China. The regulation takes effect January 1st,

00:33The move follows multiple fatal EV crashes, including two involving Xiaomi vehicles,
