00:00AFC championship game on Sunday, 3 p.m. start.
00:04That's going to be Drake May taking on Jared Siddham.
00:06We previewed this line all week long,
00:07bouncing between five and a half and four and a half.
00:09And now it seems like we've settled in to minus four and a half
00:12as a favorite for the New England Patriots.
00:14A total, let's listen, at 42 and a half.
00:16Siddham getting those practices in.
00:18Everybody loves how good Siddham looks in practice.
00:20But the question is, will he perform the same way in the games here, Joe?
00:23What's that spread line for Sunday's action in the AFC?
00:26Well, once again, Donnie, you know, we saw the limits increase yesterday
00:31across the board, and that's how it works.
00:34Earlier in the week, limits are down.
00:36Later in the week, it gives the books a chance to kind of adjust the numbers.
00:40And then here come all the big bets.
00:42Not exactly sharp bets, but the big bets are going to start to roll in.
00:46Now, is it enough to push these lines one way or the other?
00:50It remains, Donnie, that the biggest bets,
00:52the most influential bets that I am hearing are on the total in this game.
00:57At 42 and a half, there are some prevailing thoughts here that this might even hit 43,
01:04provided nothing drastic changes with the weather outside of what we've been saying.
01:09It looks like it's going to get colder, but no snow, no crazy wind, nothing along those lines.
01:15And it feels like they think points, the market, or at least the influential bettors believe,
01:21points are coming in this game from both teams.
01:24Yeah, latest report there on the weather, about 20 degrees during that game.
01:28Also, no precipitation in the forecast, and light winds under 10 miles per hour
01:31should be a pretty clean slate there out in Denver.
01:34Let's head to the Pacific Northwest.
01:35The Los Angeles Rams taking on the Seattle Seahawks.
01:38This line opened up at 2.5, Joe, all week long.
01:40We still see 2.5s all the way through with just about every outlet today,
01:44and a total of 46.5.
01:46Stafford versus Darnold, NFC Championship game.
01:49The winner heads to the Super Bowl to take on either the Patriots or the Broncos.
01:52What's your spread line for this Sunday's action for the NFC?
01:56Well, we've seen some back and forth here.
01:58Kind of stale on both, Donnie, right?
02:01But the prevailing thought in the risk rooms, once again,
02:05is what you see is likely what you're going to get.
02:08Don't expect it to hit three.
02:10Don't expect it to land three by kickoff.
02:12If anything, they feel like there is going to be some late Rams money coming into this game,
02:18depending on the reports for Sam Darnold.
02:22So keep an eye on that.
02:23But right now, if you're hoping for a three, you're likely not going to get it.
02:28Wednesday's practice for Darnold, limited practice.
02:30Thursday's practice for Darnold, limited practice.
02:33Today's that last practice of the week where a lot of these guys get cleared
02:35and get taken off the practice report.
02:37We'll see if that happens.
02:37But you're right about that.
02:38If he's still limited today, where it's like, you know what?
02:41Something might rise up there.
02:42And you never know, because you could be throwing lightly all weekend long, Joe.
02:46Once you get in a football game, football player hanging on your ankle,
02:49and you've got to launch 140 yards downfield,
02:51we'll see what that oblique is really about here.
02:53It's a football Friday.
02:54We're just getting started right here on the early line.
02:56Make sure you keep it with us.
02:58Joe and Donnie in the morning.
03:00Let's dip right back into that AFC championship game.
03:03It's going to take place this Sunday at 3 p.m. in Denver.
03:05As we just told you, weather is going to be cold.
03:07But that's Denver this time of year, 20 degrees here, no precipitation.
03:10You love to see that.
03:11And also, keep the winds under 10 miles per hour.
03:13Both of these quarterbacks shouldn't have any problems operating in the pocket.
03:16The only question is, Drake May, we expect to have a good game.
03:19We just don't know what we're getting out of Jared Stidham at this point.
03:22So, Joe, with the practice reports that we hear from Denver,
03:25and they're obviously glowing praise of Stidham,
03:27because no teammate's going to say, like, man, we just lost Bo Nix.
03:29I don't think we should even play this weekend.
03:31Why are we wasting our time?
03:32What do you feel?
03:33Have you gained any, you know, opportunities or should I say any insight
03:37into what we're going to get out of Jared Stidham
03:39as if you can back him this weekend and be comfortable with it?
03:43You are going to get exactly, you're just going to get a more condensed version
03:47of what you might have seen from Bo Nix.
03:49I mean, listen, you have to understand and believe
03:52that Sean Payton has kept Jared Stidham there for a reason.
03:56Again, he wasn't just dropped in last week here, right?
04:00You know, this is not one of these situations like Indianapolis
04:05where they're getting a guy off a college, off a high school,
04:08you know, coaching a high school team to come out and play.
04:10That's not what we've got here.
04:12So, he understands the playbook.
04:14He understands what is expected.
04:17And it's going to be up to the rest of the team
04:19to go ahead and level up their game here.
04:22And I think they know that.
04:23And nobody's better at it than what Sean Payton brings to the table.
04:27I think the game plan is the same.
04:28I don't think they're going to be limited in what they can do.
04:31Again, it's everything.
04:32It's all or nothing, right?
04:33So, I would expect Sean Payton to pull out all the stops
04:37and likely, again, quick passes, short passes, move the chains,
04:42see if you can get the running game going.
04:44But that offensive line needs to protect them.
04:47And it's one of the best in the NFL this year.
04:49So, if you're expecting the offensive line to collapse like it did for Houston,
04:54that is not going to happen against this Patriots defense for the Broncos.
04:59Take a look at Troy Franklin, hamstring injury.
05:01He did get limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday.
05:04And then also, Pat Brown had the concussion, limited on Wednesday,
05:06full practice on Thursday.
05:08So, maybe getting some of those wide receivers back to help out Jared Sidham.
05:11Here's an interesting part, Joe.
05:12Betting last week with the Denver Broncos,
05:14I really like Bo Nix's completion number.
05:16It was 20 and a half.
05:17He said, okay, that means, you know, 21 completions cashes.
05:20He actually cashed it, I believe,
05:21on one of the second-to-last drives last week.
05:23But typically, you see him throw 35-plus times per game
05:25because that's a Sean Payton offense.
05:27Do you know you know the game plan isn't going to change all that much, Joe?
05:30I take a look at FanDuel right now.
05:31Pass completions for Jared Sidham, 19 and a half.
05:34That's completions.
05:35That's not actually attempts here,
05:37which means he's only one behind Bo Nix,
05:39who's the starter from last week.
05:41So, the intentions to detail here is
05:43we are expecting the same sort of game plan with Sidham
05:45because otherwise, Joe, we'd see that at 17 and a half,
05:4716 and a half, 15 and a half.
05:49And also, the 198 and a half price point here
05:52for the player prop yards for Sidham to throw over,
05:56that's 198 and a half.
05:57When earlier this week, Joe,
05:58we were hovering on that 190 number.
06:00People are starting to gain some interest in Jadavich Sidham
06:02based on some of those practice reports.
06:05Well, and I think it has everything to do with the offensive line, Donnie,
06:08because I think the market realizes
06:10they're not a great running team, right?
06:13But they are a fantastic,
06:15one of the best, if not the best,
06:17you know, pass blocking units in the NFL,
06:20which means, you know,
06:22Sidham is not going to be under duress.
06:24They can try and blitz all they want.
06:26All that is going to do,
06:27because again, Sidham is not a rookie.
06:30Sidham has been around a block.
06:31He has started his fair share of games in the NFL.
06:34As long as you give a quarterback protection,
06:36they are going to throw the ball.
06:39And Sean Payton is not going to try to ask the guys to be something they're not.
06:43They're not a great running team.
06:45They're a very good scheme and throwing team,
06:49and that's exactly what they're going to do here.
06:51What do you think about Drake May in this game here, Joe?
06:53You take a look at his posted prop number,
06:55226 and a half.
06:57Struggled last week with fumbles, you know,
06:58turnovers here,
06:59but still able to win that football game
07:00because CJ Stroud out turnover them at that point here.
07:03Do you have any worries about Drake May?
07:05Still a young quarterback,
07:06second year on the road in the AFC championship game.
07:08The expectations is he should play well,
07:10but this is an environment he hasn't seen before.
07:12Well, and now the expectations went from, you know,
07:15oh, it's a growing year to now he has to win
07:18and win the AFC on the road in one of the,
07:22if not the toughest environments in all of football to go and win.
07:25I mean, it's one thing to win a game against an awful offense
07:29like Houston at home in the weather, right?
07:33But boy, oh boy,
07:34it's going to be a whole different animal to go to Denver
07:36and do this on the road with all the pressure on you.
07:39Everybody expects you to win now.
07:42And that is a different animal, Donnie,
07:44than what we're used to.
07:46He'll make plays,
07:47but he'll also likely make a few mistakes
07:49that might cost them the game.
07:52By the way,
07:52the double up here on touchdown props
07:54from Andre Stevenson, plus 120,
07:56Travion Henderson, plus 230,
07:57getting at least one of those guys for plus money.
07:59And we cheer on Travion Henderson.
08:01Any quick looks, Joe,
08:02for you and that touchdown market in this game?
08:04You got to love,
08:05you know, listen,
08:06Henderson's ran good.
08:07Stevenson's run absolutely fantastic.
08:09You got to love RJ Harvey too,
08:12simply because of the way you can catch the ball out of the backfield.
08:16Let's flip it over to the NFC.
08:18Is Sam Darnold going to be up for the fight?
08:20It's going to be needed to win that game
08:21to get to the Super Bowl.
08:22We'll talk about it next.
08:23It is a football Friday
08:24on the early line Sports Grid Network.
08:27And you know what?
08:27Like I am jumping for joy right now.
08:30You might not be able to tell it from my voice
08:32because if I go any higher octaves here,
08:34we won't be on the air for much longer at this point.
08:36So I'm saying team at this point,
08:38but I love AFC,
08:39NFC Championship weekend.
08:40And specifically this game between the Rams and the Seahawks.
08:44There are so many angles to play that we can certainly jump into,
08:47but I'm going to start here with you, Joe.
08:48I love playing this game because
08:49the odds makers have been telling you,
08:51this is a line they don't really want to move to two or three.
08:54At this point,
08:55we sit here on a Friday between the Rams and the Seahawks.
08:57At two and a half across the board.
08:59And your best judgment, Joe,
09:01by the time we get to kickoff,
09:036.30 p.m. Sunday night to watch this game,
09:05where is this line?
09:07Is it two?
09:08Is it two and a half?
09:09Is it three?
09:10What are we thinking?
09:11I still think,
09:13I think what you see is what you're going to get ultimately.
09:16I don't think it's going to go the other way, Donnie.
09:19You're never going to get three.
09:20It's not going to land on,
09:21it's not going to be steamed all the way up to three and a half
09:24and then land three or anything along those lines.
09:27I think what you see is what you're going to get.
09:30If anything,
09:31we might see some late Ram money come in,
09:34depending on who sees something.
09:36It may be these practices over the next couple of days,
09:39or if there's any questions,
09:42rumors,
09:42or comments about truly how healthy is Sam Donald.
09:47I think that's what's going to determine,
09:49but all things being equal,
09:50I think the number that you have right now is based upon everyone thinking
09:54Sam Donald is fine and that he can make the throws and everything will be
09:59good.
09:59But any,
10:00and I mean any news,
10:02Donnie,
10:02that's contrary to that.
10:04We'll move this line towards the Rams.
10:06I don't think it's ever going to move it closer to the three or above three.
10:11Let me play psychologist with you,
10:13Joe,
10:14because I need you to help out the people because we're going to post up this
10:16next little graphic here about Sam Donald ESPN bet,
10:19put this out and it said,
10:20Sam Donald is feeling confident ahead of the NFC championship game.
10:23And Sam Donald's quote is interesting here.
10:25If I feel like a guy is open,
10:28I'm going to let it rip.
10:29You know what that sounds like to me?
10:31Well,
10:31I sort of trust myself and if he's open,
10:34I'm going to give it a try.
10:35This is like,
10:35I'm just trying to read between the lines,
10:37Joe,
10:38because I don't think we're getting the full story here just yet.
10:40They're trying to put on a big happy face.
10:42Like everything is fine,
10:43but everything I'm trying to read between the lines is telling me that this
10:47is up in the air still.
10:49I listen.
10:50It's regardless of whether he was healthy or not.
10:53Donnie,
10:54he's played two games against the Rams.
10:57He's got six interceptions in those games.
10:59Okay.
11:00So whether he's healthy or he's not healthy,
11:03this Rams defense and the way they have schemed against him has caused him
11:08nothing but fits here.
11:10And again,
11:10he's played them four times in his career.
11:12Once last year in the post season in the wild card,
11:15right?
11:16When he was with Minnesota and guess what?
11:18Yeah.
11:18He threw a whole bunch of interceptions.
11:20There was sack five times and he lost that game was traded to Seattle,
11:24played them twice.
11:25He's one in three against this Rams team.
11:28This defense has not been kind to him.
11:31That's not going to change in this game.
11:33So if I'm him,
11:35I'm a little cautious as well.
11:36And listen,
11:38the idea was McDonald and company there after those Rams games,
11:42they kind of reeled him in a little bit because you're either going to win
11:46with a conservative Sam Donald or you run the risk against better teams like the Rams of
11:52getting blown out because Sam Donald puts you in that spot.
11:56Yeah.
11:56We take a look at the weather conditions again,
11:58low forties,
11:58which is fine.
11:59No precipitation,
12:00the forecast.
12:01And again,
12:01one mile per hour wins here.
12:03So nothing that's going to be able to keep up and say,
12:05Hey,
12:05I got to throw,
12:06you know,
12:0625 mile an hour wins.
12:07I got to really like,
12:08you know,
12:08torque it up at this point here,
12:10but I'm still worried about Donald.
12:11Last week we saw his passing prop number crashed by game time.
12:14Now you might want to say it's a little bit unfair because they blew San Francisco out
12:17from the jumps.
12:18It was the read for Donald to go out there and throw it 35 times in this game against
12:21the Rams.
12:22I don't know if you're going to be able to hide behind.
12:23Let's run the football and play really good defense.
12:25And maybe you can,
12:26because Seattle's really good and they have a home field advantage,
12:27but I look at that Sam Darnold to 35 and a half passing prop number Joe.
12:31And I say to myself,
12:32I still lean towards the under like,
12:34yes,
12:34there's a chance that he can really get it going.
12:36It's going to be fine and throw 40 times,
12:38but I don't think that's the game plan heading into the say,
12:41let's just get into a shootout with,
12:42you know,
12:42Los Angeles when my quarterback just might be a little bit banged up.
12:46Well,
12:47it's two different things here,
12:49right?
12:49Matt Stafford is a guy with a ring on his finger.
12:53And even at what?
12:5436,
12:5537 years old.
12:56This is a guy who still has a monster arm.
12:59And Donnie,
13:00how many more times does he have to show how fearless he is throwing to
13:03every part of the field?
13:05He's got a championship pedigree and he doesn't care what the city,
13:09he is never,
13:10ever going to doubt his ability to be able to make the play.
13:14And we shouldn't as betters and fans looked at,
13:18Hey,
13:18Stafford Stafford would never sound like that.
13:20Like if a play needs to in a big game,
13:23you can count on Stafford.
13:24There is nothing in Sam Donald's history that tells us that he is exactly
13:29the same quarterback as Stafford,
13:31that he can be trusted to make that big throw in the big moment when the
13:35game back.
13:35No,
13:36he has not done it.
13:37And until he does,
13:38you should be,
13:39you know,
13:39be cautious when looking to back him or what you're expecting from him.
13:43They only win this game.
13:45One way,
13:45Donnie,
13:46they have to be able to control time of possession and they have to be able
13:50with Kenneth Walker to be able to run the ball down the throat of the Rams
13:53defense.
13:54I don't know that they can do that.
13:56By the way,
13:57put that graphic back up for Matthew Stafford here,
13:59because we're going to see something on that.
14:00We haven't seen in months,
14:02see the passing yards,
14:02two 53 and a half.
14:03We've seen higher than that,
14:05but look at the touchdown number,
14:06Joe,
14:06one and a half to the overs minus one 28.
14:09That number has been two and a half for the past two months where you
14:12couldn't even bet.
14:13There was no value whatsoever.
14:15It shows you how really good Seattle's defense actually is.
14:18Number one,
14:18but number two,
14:20and they're going to be throwing that football all over the place.
14:22This is one of those opportunities where you finally get Stafford at a
14:24decent price to throw two touchdown passes.
14:26Certainly something to keep an eye on,
14:27but obviously throwing those passes between both of these quarterbacks,
14:31somebody has to catch those.
14:32The two top guys Puka Nakua 91 and a half is as yardage prop and Jackson
14:37Smith and Jigba 89 and a half as his yardage prop in this game.
14:41We talked about it yesterday,
14:42Joe,
14:42the top pass catchers,
14:43maybe some secondary options.
14:45Who are you looking forward to?
14:46Maybe you really put a dent in this game from the wide receiver position.
14:49Well,
14:50it's interesting,
14:51right?
14:51Because we saw JSN's numbers over 90,
14:55like 91 and a half 92.
14:57And it looks like we're starting to see a little bit of a,
15:00maybe he's not going to have as big a game here as,
15:04as we thought.
15:05And listen,
15:07half the season,
15:08the first half of the year,
15:09Donnie,
15:09nobody could cover them.
15:11They were slinging it all over the place.
15:13And then the second half of the year,
15:15defenses adjusted to what they wanted to do.
15:18They took away Jackson Smith and Jigba deep,
15:21right?
15:22You couldn't get those big explosive plays.
15:24So everything became kind of dink and dunk,
15:26five yard,
15:27seven yard outs.
15:28And you weren't going to lose because him and Darnold were beating you
15:32over the top.
15:33I don't,
15:33the Rams have already seen him twice.
15:35He's not going to do that here again.
15:37So I understand why the money is coming in on the under on his yardage
15:41prop.
15:42And I agree with it,
15:42but he is going to play a role in this game.
15:45If Seattle wins one way or the other.
15:47Yeah.
15:47Cooper cup listed at 29 and a half.
15:49You see Shahid at 23 and a half,
15:51AJ Barnard,
15:5228 and a half.
15:52So some secondary option that you can certainly dip into.
15:55And also depending on game flow,
15:56are they losing this game?
15:57Are they winning this game?
15:58Is the defense taking over or the pick six is happening where you
16:01actually lose a possession on offense.
16:02That certainly could all factor in.
16:04Let's look at some of those touchdown props in this game,
16:06because it isn't a surprise.
16:07Now you probably should just go with Kenneth Walker.
16:09The third,
16:10it is expensive at minus one 55,
16:11but what did you just have to worry about Joe?
16:14Hey,
16:14maybe it's Charbonnet's drive.
16:15Maybe Charbonnet is going to get the ball on the goal line.
16:17It's only going to be Kenneth Walker.
16:18The third inside that five yard line.
16:20And on the goal line,
16:21the other plus money guy is the next plus money guy should say is Jackson
16:24Smith and Jigbit plus one Oh five for Seattle.
16:27And then three straight Rams,
16:29Devante Adams,
16:29Kyron Williams,
16:30and Puka Nakua.
16:31Even if you said to yourself,
16:32I think Stafford throws two touchdowns,
16:34probably going to get at least one from Adams and one from Nakua.
16:36Maybe a double up,
16:37make some sense there.
16:38Who are you looking forward to this week in the score touchdown,
16:40this NFC championship game?
16:42Oh,
16:43it's easy for me,
16:45Donnie.
16:45Who else?
16:46Cooper cup,
16:48the revenge game.
16:49It would,
16:49I mean,
16:50you can't write a better story than Cooper cup.
16:53And again,
16:54if his arm is what we think it is,
16:56man,
16:57those underneath routes and those short,
16:59quick hit,
16:59he is going to be a red zone target.
17:02Make no mistake about it.
17:03So yeah,
17:04at a pretty good price.
17:05Why not?
17:06Cooper cup scoring for Seattle would be outstanding.
17:10I'd say,
17:11what's going to be interesting too.
17:12You look at some of those rushing props in this game.
17:13Cause Seattle's got a great defense pass wise.
17:15And also stopping the run Kyron Williams,
17:1753 and a half play for him 28 and a half.
17:19But again,
17:20Kenneth Walker,
17:21the third 85 and a half.
17:22Ooh,
17:22that sounds like a lot.
17:23You could pencil him in for 20 carries and do what you need to do after
17:26that.
17:27So a lot of things open here,
17:28but we're certainly keep you updated throughout the show.
17:30If any one of these lines change or any information comes out,
17:33certainly we're going to let you know,
17:34but that's AFC championship,
17:36NFC championship weekend.
17:38Can't wait for it on Sunday.
17:39I'm going to talk to our guy,
17:40Tom Beck here to see what he has to say about these two games this weekend.
17:44We'll be right back on the early line right here on the sports.
17:47It's a football Friday raid here on the sports grid network.
17:50No better place to be.
17:51This is the early line.
17:52It's Donnie Wright said it's Joe Ramirez.
17:53Now we're bringing our good friend,
17:55Tom Vecchio to talk about this weekend's action here,
17:57Tom,
17:58two football games,
17:59compelling angles in both of these,
18:00man.
18:01How are we feeling?
18:02I'm feeling good.
18:03You know,
18:03we've seen a little bit of line movement in these games,
18:05the totals moving around.
18:07I'm really interested for some RJ Harvey props and I haven't seen too many of
18:12them listed Russian plus receiving is what I'm waiting for.
18:15You know,
18:15JK Dobbins is practicing whether or not he'll be activated is yet to be seen,
18:19but keep my mind.
18:20I'll keep my eye on RJ Harvey.
18:22All right,
18:23let's get started here.
18:24First time Jared Stidham is going to get the start.
18:25Obviously,
18:26no bone next down for the year,
18:27broken ankle.
18:28Let me ask you this question last week.
18:29I did take a prop on bone next,
18:30which I was just talking to Joe about over 20 and a half completions,
18:33which he got last week in their game now before he got injured.
18:37So now you look and say,
18:38well,
18:38how are we supposed to run the same offense with Jared Stidham?
18:40But Tom,
18:41I go over to family when I see 20 or excuse me,
18:4319 and a half completions as a number for Stidham.
18:45We're not expecting a drop off here.
18:47And the passing prop is actually going a little bit higher this week up to
18:50one 98 and a half.
18:52Just give me your vibes on what we can't anticipate that we're going to get
18:55from Jared Stidham this weekend.
18:56You know,
18:57two things I would say one,
18:58if they do fall behind,
19:00they're going to be an obvious passing situation.
19:01So he may get there and it won't be,
19:03pretty,
19:04but he'll get there.
19:04And then two,
19:05it really comes down to Sean Payton,
19:07who we know can scheme things up for quarterback to be successful,
19:11to be successful.
19:12Again,
19:13it may not be the flashiest plays,
19:15but they may just be plays designed to say,
19:16Hey,
19:17let's be in second and five and third and four,
19:20instead of third and eight and third and nine.
19:22And then we'll just move the chains that way.
19:24And they may be dink and dunk passes.
19:25So that's partly why I'm looking at RJ Harvey,
19:27but the success that Sean Payton has with quarterbacks,
19:30I think it's playing a little bit of a part in this.
19:32Hmm.
19:34Well,
19:34also the offensive line is it's,
19:36it's one of the best in the NFL protecting pass rush.
19:39So they're not going to get the Stidham,
19:41which means,
19:42and I,
19:43you know,
19:43of the two quarterbacks in this game,
19:45Tom,
19:46one has been there and done this before,
19:48maybe not in an AFC championship game,
19:50but he's been under center in these spots here before.
19:53And this is all,
19:54you know,
19:54it's one thing to be the hunter,
19:56right?
19:56And nobody expects anything from you,
19:58but now,
19:59you know,
20:00look at line for this game was one and a half for Denver.
20:03They were going to be the favorite.
20:05Now Drake may is expected to win this game and win it convincingly.
20:09So what do we get from him in this game?
20:13You know,
20:13what we get from him,
20:14I would say is going to be solely determined by the offensive line,
20:18because over the past two weeks,
20:19Drake may hasn't looked great,
20:22right?
20:22He's made some good throws.
20:23Like he's made good plays,
20:24but the sacks and the fumbles are a huge concern.
20:28And,
20:28you know,
20:28my prevailing sentiment for this game is that the Denver defense know that
20:32they need to be at their best.
20:33They can't play like they played last week.
20:35And if Drake may is having the sacks and the fumble issues,
20:37as he's had against the chargers and the Texans,
20:40I have to assume he's done or he's been doing that.
20:43The Denver defense can do much of the same,
20:45if not more.
20:46So if they can get the pressure on Drake may,
20:48that gives a path to Denver,
20:50keeping us close and we're winning the game.
20:52So the offensive line for the Pats and Drake,
20:54man,
20:54I think they're the most important factor in this entire game.
20:58Yeah.
20:58Keeping us on our toes this weekend too.
21:00The one thing we don't like is handicappers is have some extenuating
21:02circumstances.
21:03We don't know what we're going to get out of Jared Stibb.
21:05And the same thing now,
21:05as we flip it over to the NFC championship game,
21:08Matthew Stafford versus Sam Darnold.
21:09What are we getting out of Sam Darnold?
21:11They're saying everything positive in Seattle,
21:13Tom.
21:13But when I look at those practice reports,
21:15I see limited on Wednesday,
21:17limited on Thursday.
21:18And some question of like,
21:19we were just talking about a quote came up.
21:20And Darnold's like, yeah, if I see a guy open,
21:22I think I can let it rip.
21:23Well,
21:23that just shows you're not even fully confident that you can let it rip.
21:26If you have to answer questions like that,
21:28this line sits at two and a half.
21:30But again,
21:30same thing I asked you on Stidham,
21:31what are we getting out of Sam Darnold?
21:33And should we be worried?
21:34You know,
21:35I think we should be worried.
21:36And last week,
21:37looking at his stat line in really conjunction with Ken Walker stat line.
21:42I think that is like the upper end of the outcome on the bell curve.
21:45Like Ken Walker,
21:46we know that Sam Darnold's not fully healthy.
21:48They're at home.
21:49They get the game gets out of hand.
21:50So he's seeing extra carries based on the game script.
21:52And then ultimately he's going up against the defense.
21:54That is bad to begin with with the 49ers.
21:56And ultimately they quit on the game.
21:58So all these things are magnified by the time that he's able to get three
22:02touchdowns over a hundred yards,
22:03all these carries,
22:04you know,
22:04we can't be expecting that from him again.
22:06I think Sam Darnold obviously needs to be better than what he was last
22:09week.
22:09But if we see a,
22:11a lack of success from Sam Darnold in the passing game,
22:14I'm worried about their offense moving.
22:16I'm worried about them potentially keeping up with the Rams.
22:18If the Rams are able to get to 17,
22:2021 points,
22:21we know that the Rams defense will also be at their best in this game and
22:25they can maybe keep the Seahawks under control.
22:27This will not be a shootout as we saw like a month ago on that Thursday
22:30night game.
22:32But it feels like the way Seattle has to win this game is very much like
22:38what they just did with the 49ers,
22:40right?
22:40You can't ask Sam Darnold to have to throw for 300 yards and expect to win
22:45this game.
22:45Two games.
22:46He's got six picks already against this Rams defense.
22:49So what,
22:50who do you concentrate on though?
22:52If you're Seattle,
22:53because their path to winning feels pretty straightforward here.
22:57No,
22:57it does.
22:58And you know,
22:59Ken Walker's prop has been bed up and up and up and it's in the mid
23:02eighties at this point for his yards.
23:04I think that's a little bit much,
23:05you know,
23:06I know people are going to be looking at,
23:08they're going to say,
23:08Oh,
23:08also Zach Charbonnet is out.
23:10So Ken Walker's coming off a great game.
23:12Zach Charbonnet is out.
23:13Sam Darnold's not fully healthy.
23:14Let's just give the ball to Ken Walker 25 times.
23:17And listen,
23:17they may do that and he may get there,
23:19but I still think that such a public number is not worth backing at this
23:23point.
23:23And frankly,
23:23looking at Sam Darnold,
23:25his past attempts under 20,
23:2729 and a half.
23:28That's where I have the most interest just because they don't want him to
23:31throw that much to your point,
23:32Joe.
23:32Like they don't want to have the ball in his hands 35 times.
23:35And if they do,
23:36if he's throwing it 35 times,
23:37a,
23:37this game's probably going over and be the Rams are probably leading at that
23:40point.
23:41I got to tell you too,
23:42Tom,
23:42like we do a lot of shows on Sundays here and you never really hear me say
23:45Matthew Stafford all that much.
23:46Cause his touchdown prop is always two and a half.
23:48He's now back at one and a half at a minus one 32 price,
23:51which I do think is interesting,
23:52but I want to ask you some receiving questions in this game.
23:55Puka Nakua,
23:56Jackson Smith and jig with the top level guys.
23:58Give me a guy outside of those top guys.
24:00Tom,
24:00you might be eyeing up this weekend,
24:01a Cooper cup,
24:02a Shahid,
24:02maybe a Parkinson.
24:03I know you like to go after there for the Rams.
24:05Who are you looking at for the secondary shots?
24:07It would be AJ Barner on Seattle.
24:10And a lot of people want to buy into a Cooper cup,
24:12a little bit of revenge.
24:13And you can make the same case for him as you,
24:15as I'm doing for Barner.
24:16But these are players that have,
24:17you know,
24:17generally low a dots where Jason has one of the highest yards per route
24:21run this season,
24:22really of any receiver,
24:23you know,
24:24dating back over the last decade.
24:25But if Donald's having an oblique issue,
24:27why not just take the easy completions where you can get them.
24:29Don't be stretching the ball downfield,
24:31get it to Barner or cup down low on low.
24:33J dot passes.
24:34And yeah,
24:34he may need three or four to get to 28 or 29,
24:37but those are the players I would slide with.
24:40All right,
24:40Tom quick on this one here,
24:41Ferguson,
24:43Higby,
24:44Parkinson.
24:44Come on now,
24:45which one?
24:46Who gets the gas?
24:47Higby Parkinson.
24:49Yeah.
24:50Yeah.
24:50He's always reliable there.
24:51I can't wait for these two games to play out here on Sunday,
24:54three o'clock game,
24:55six 30 game close numbers.
24:56And then pretty soon on Monday morning,
24:58we're talking about matchups in the Superbowl.
25:00Isn't that crazy?
25:01That's Tom Vecchio.
25:02Thanks for rising and grinding with us on a football Friday radio on the
25:05early line.
25:05For myself on the right side,
25:07Joe and Eric will be right back.
25:08You can hear the chance MVP MVP.
25:13Well,
25:13now we actually have the MVP finalists here.
25:15Five players in the NFL,
25:18Josh Allen,
25:19Trevor Lawrence,
25:20Christian McCaffrey,
25:21Matthew Stafford,
25:22and Drake may,
25:23you got four quarterbacks and one running back in there.
25:26Thoughts that Matthew Stafford now running away with it and should be the
25:29MVP only to have Drake may in week 16 and 17 thought he was running away
25:35with it until that final game of the season where Matthew Stafford was
25:38allowed to sling a lot of touchdown passes.
25:39And Drake may was running wide receiver plays inside the five yard line.
25:44Therefore Stafford is the favorite.
25:45So I ask you this question right now,
25:47Joe,
25:47if you had a vote,
25:48you get to put it in for MVP.
25:50Who's your MVP in the NFL?
25:52I definitely Matt Stafford as far as I'm concerned.
25:57And yeah,
25:58I mean,
25:58listen,
25:58you can go back and forth,
25:59not taking anything away from the kind of season that Drake may had,
26:04but the reality is it was two different worlds,
26:07two different divisions,
26:08two different schedules.
26:10And Matt Stafford,
26:12when it mattered the most delivered and he did it against tougher
26:15competition.
26:16You can't get away from this,
26:19get the lack of the strength of schedule for new England.
26:22Yeah.
26:22If you swap those guys right with strength of schedule,
26:27I'm not sure Drake may is even in the conversation.
26:31And also you could have helped him out with a little more statistics late in
26:34the season.
26:34We're talking about you,
26:35Mr.
26:35Vrabel,
26:36but that didn't happen.
26:37But also the quarterback position.
26:38And yes,
26:39there is something to be said about,
26:40I got mobility and I can run for a couple hundred yards and extra touchdowns
26:43when Matthew Stafford doesn't do that.
26:44But if you're just looking at statistics,
26:474,700 passing yards to 4,300 passing yards,
26:49we'll just call it roughly in there.
26:5146 touchdown passes to 31 touchdown passes.
26:53That settles it for me at this point,
26:55like quarterback is operating from the pocket.
26:57And if it's going to be close in statistics,
26:59then you could sort of add in the running that the quarterback can do.
27:02And we're not saying that Drake may didn't have a good season.
27:04He was really good,
27:05man came into his own and that's a bright future for new England Patriots.
27:07It might even end up being a Superbowl appearance or maybe even a Superbowl
27:11championship this year,
27:12but I'm with you.
27:13Matthew Stafford's numbers are just too much here.
27:15And also I know we don't like to do the sentimental stuff,
27:18but this is Matthew Stafford's chance to win it.
27:21And maybe some voters like Drake may has got another 15 years,
27:24Joe,
27:24he'll have a shot down the line.
27:26Yeah.
27:28Yes,
27:28absolutely.
27:29He will.
27:30Especially the fact that they have a ton of cap room.
27:34They they're not going to have to pay him for another season.
27:37Or so.
27:38So they will have enough to be able to build around him and give him enough
27:42to put up a whole lot of numbers.
27:45Cause let's face it,
27:46Miami is not getting any better.
27:48Buffalo is completely in disarray and the jets are still the jets.
27:52So new England is going to put up a,
27:55a lot of numbers and,
27:57and figures over the next couple of seasons.
28:00Do you remember when Christian McCaffrey was traded for the Carolina from the
28:03Carolina Panthers,
28:03a lot of pundits like,
28:04Oh man,
28:05it's such a great deal for Carolina.
28:06They got a great hall back.
28:07And we don't know what we're going to get out of Christian McCaffrey.
28:09And then we get an Adam Schefter tweet from yesterday.
28:1149ers running back.
28:12Christian McCaffrey is believed to be the first person in NFL history to be a
28:16finalist for MVP,
28:17offensive player of the year and comeback player of the year,
28:20all in the same season.
28:22This guy's been nothing short of spectacular for the 49ers.
28:26Yeah.
28:27To say the least.
28:28I mean,
28:28and listen,
28:29it's not like we didn't know it.
28:30It was just the,
28:32the Panthers,
28:34I think ultimately did him the biggest favor because his,
28:38he would have just ended up on the shelf air year after year because they had
28:42nobody else.
28:42And all they did was get them killed.
28:44So the fact that he went to a legit organization that had a quarterback and a head coach and
28:51you getting exactly what they should have gotten in Carolina,
28:55had they done the right thing around them.
28:58Let's keep it with the 49ers here.
28:59Cause one of the more interesting situations was you had a great tandem and wide receiver,
29:04which was Debo Samuel and Brandon.
29:05Now it looks like you're not going to have either for the 49ers,
29:08but sometimes you just fall out of favor.
29:10The wide receiver wants to get traded.
29:12But what Brandon I did with the 49ers was really odd.
29:16You know,
29:16you get injured,
29:17you sign a huge contract.
29:18Then you get injured.
29:19You have all that guaranteed money.
29:20Most players like,
29:21okay,
29:22it stinks.
29:22I'm injured.
29:23I'm going to rehab as hard as I can to get back on the field.
29:25He totally ghosted the San Francisco 49ers to the point where he wasn't returning any
29:29phone calls,
29:30rehabbing,
29:31or even letting them know what he was doing.
29:32And months on end went by.
29:34And then he said,
29:35well,
29:35the 49ers just going to void all of your guaranteed money while you're still trying
29:39to get back healthy.
29:40And Brandon,
29:41I didn't seem to care at all.
29:42It's like,
29:43I'm guaranteed.
29:43Let's just say,
29:44I don't know,
29:44$75 million.
29:45Hey,
29:46all you have to do is rehab and answer our phone calls.
29:47You get that money.
29:48And he didn't do it.
29:49One of the more odd stories around the NFL,
29:51which what's happening between I,
29:53who's not going to play for the 49ers again.
29:55And we'll see if he even lands elsewhere.
29:57I don't know.
29:58Is it one of these situations anywhere?
30:00We're legit.
30:01You're cutting your nose off to spike your face here for Ben and I,
30:04or is there more to this?
30:05It feels like there's more to this story here,
30:10but we're not getting it from Brandon.
30:12I you,
30:12right.
30:13I just outside of,
30:14well,
30:14this bridge can't be repaired and that's the end of it.
30:17And,
30:17you know,
30:17where man,
30:18that was a lot of money you left out of the table.
30:20And,
30:21you know,
30:21usually Donnie at a site at a mind.
30:23Right.
30:23And that's exactly what he has become.
30:27It's,
30:27it's gotta be a mental breakdown because nobody in your life or your agent or
30:32lawyer firm,
30:33whatever would give you advice that says,
30:34just sabotage this because I'm going to get you a better deal.
30:38Like you just signed the top of the market deal and got injured.
30:41It's like the gods.
30:41That's why you get the top of the market deal.
30:43Because if you do get injured in the NFL,
30:45which is a high likelihood that you're going to do that,
30:47you have that financial security and basically burned it up and just,
30:50just ghosting the organization because they wanted him here.
30:53They signed him just rehab.
30:54Even if the rehab isn't going well,
30:56you still get your money at this point.
30:58I don't know where he winds up or ends up,
30:59but it's so interesting to see how that actually played out.
31:02Now let's get to the good stuff there with the San Francisco 49ers.
31:04They seem to be in the crosshairs right now.
31:06They are officially are investigating the viral conspiracy theory that the
31:10electrical substation near their training facility in Levi's stadium is
31:13contributing to their injuries here.
31:16Look,
31:16athletes have one track minds.
31:19They get something in their mind that isn't working out well,
31:21and they feel that might have a chance of injuring them.
31:24They're going to believe it,
31:25whether it's right or not,
31:27there's no way.
31:28No,
31:28but even if they prove we ran our own test here,
31:31you got to scrap that practice field and move it five miles away,
31:34or it's just not,
31:35I'm telling you athletes are crazy.
31:37They won't be able to get past it.
31:39Yeah.
31:40I mean,
31:40listen,
31:41it's,
31:41it's kind of crazy because it started with Purdy in week one with a turf
31:45toe.
31:46It went to Bosa in week three with an ACL Fred Warner in week six with the
31:51ankle,
31:51Mikael Williams and ACL George Kittle,
31:55Achilles,
31:56Ricky Pierce all couldn't stay healthy here.
31:59So whether or not electromagnetic waves increase the risk of injury,
32:04they're going to do a study and they're going to try to figure out
32:07everything here.
32:08And they should,
32:09that's far too many injuries over the last couple of seasons.
32:12And who's actually controlling these surveys,
32:14Joe,
32:15don't like the NFL P is like,
32:16we just did the MetLife turf is horrible.
32:18And the NFL goes,
32:19we just had,
32:19has MetLife has the best turf in the NFL compared to all the injuries from the
32:23rest of the league.
32:23Nobody's going to believe it.
32:24Nobody's going to believe it,
32:25but the psychology of professional athletes will believe what they want.
32:28And that's the issue in San Francisco coaching carousel till turning in the NFL,
32:33but a lot of those seats are starting to get filled as we start in South beach.
32:37I'm Donnie Wright side.
32:38He's Joe Ranieri,
32:39new head coach coming to town for the Miami dolphins coming from the green Bay Packers.
32:45And also a lot of Packers influence in that organization.
32:47Now on South beach,
32:49as we take a look at Jeff Halfley,
32:51he's now the head coach here.
32:52Let's hear from him.
32:52I've kind of had the core beliefs,
32:54which we're going to instill in this football team into the players and into
33:00this organization.
33:01And the first one is trust.
33:03And a lot of people use that word lightly.
33:05I don't.
33:06And I think right now in the world we live in,
33:08a lot of people are slow to trust.
33:10It might be you.
33:12It might be the players.
33:13And that's all right.
33:14Cause I'm going to earn it.
33:15The next thing that I believe in is belief.
33:19And I think this is really powerful because it's a hard world right now.
33:22Where people read stuff,
33:24they see stuff and you'd be surprised on how much insecurity there is with
33:28players,
33:28with coaches,
33:29with everybody.
33:30And I'm going to let those players know that I believe in them.
33:33And in turn,
33:34what you're going to see,
33:35you're going to see a group of guys that believe in themselves.
33:37And that becomes powerful because when they start to believe in themselves and
33:41our team starts to connect with each other,
33:43then look out because you get that connection.
33:46And then we want to talk about accountability.
33:48Then we have accountability and accountability is love.
33:51And it's an extreme level of accountability.
33:53And when we build a standard and it starts to become real,
33:56the players will start to hold themselves accountable,
33:58but that's going to start with me.
34:01And the final thing that I'm going to talk to them about every single day is
34:04toughness.
34:06That's physically,
34:07that's mentally,
34:08that's everything that we do.
34:10And it's a toughness that thrives on competition.
34:13And it's a toughness that reflects the people and the spirit of the city of
34:17Miami.
34:19You know,
34:19Joe,
34:19I don't need to hear from these coaches at these press conferences anymore.
34:22Like,
34:22are we running for president?
34:23Like,
34:24what do we like to get up on the mic and be like,
34:25you know what?
34:25I'm going to bite kneecaps and that's what I'm going to do.
34:27And I'll see you guys at practice Monday.
34:30Yeah.
34:31I believe in belief.
34:32I think he stays where he got me.
34:34I believe in belief was just,
34:36yeah.
34:36I can tell you this,
34:39Dottie,
34:39the Miami Dolphin nation here in South Florida isn't,
34:44it didn't exactly move the needle with the hopes of this franchise moving
34:49forward.
34:50So,
34:50but it's still a lot of time for the guy to prove himself,
34:53but yeah,
34:54no,
34:54not a lot of,
34:55not a lot of happiness here in South Florida.
34:59You know,
35:00your owner is very excited when he stumbles on who he actually hired as a
35:04coach,
35:04Steven Ross owner of the Miami Dolphins.
35:06I know the first conversation we could have with him was via zoom.
35:12I think it's about 10 minutes into it.
35:14I just said,
35:14Hey,
35:15this is our guy.
35:17And I'm very,
35:18very thrilled to really,
35:19you know,
35:20welcome John Eric Sullivan as our general manager.
35:26I think the enthusiasm,
35:28the knowledge,
35:29the background,
35:32it's,
35:35Jeff,
35:36stood out amongst them all.
35:40I mean,
35:40yes,
35:41like he knew right away.
35:42Cause he probably couldn't stay awake for more than 10 minutes.
35:44Like,
35:44you know what?
35:45Just hire this guy.
35:46I can't stay on this call anymore.
35:47Okay.
35:49If we've learned anything this week is can we keep these aging billionaire
35:54blowhards off the microphone and from doing press conferences,
35:58that would be fantastic.
36:00They do more damage than they do anything else.
36:03Let the PR people and the GM and everyone else do.
36:07You stay away from the microphone.
36:10Unreal.
36:10You figured,
36:11you figured he'd want to stay away because somebody could just ask him,
36:14Hey,
36:14Mr.
36:14Ross,
36:15what do you think about your tenure as owner of the Miami dolphins?
36:17It's one of the worst in professional sports.
36:19Like answer that question.
36:21As opposed to,
36:21I hired this guy.
36:22But again,
36:23in the NFL by an NFL team,
36:25run it into the ground.
36:26It does not matter.
36:27You print money every single year.
36:29It's almost,
36:29it's flawless.
36:30It's a flawless escape to printing money here.
36:33How about this next one?
36:34The Baltimore Ravens head coaches.
36:35They've only had four,
36:37you know,
36:37the fourth is it's Jesse mentor here.
36:39The other previous coaches,
36:40John Harbaugh.
36:41Oh,
36:41eight to 2025 billet 99 to 2007.
36:44And right away when they move back to Baltimore,
36:47Ted March abroad in 96 to 98 back to old Memorial stadium.
36:51How about that?
36:53In a hot minute,
36:54right?
36:55Since they,
36:55and they,
36:56you know,
36:56they hired a guy that was,
36:59you know,
36:59started his career with the Baltimore Ravens as a defensive coach.
37:04So,
37:04you know,
37:05they,
37:05they're very Pittsburgh Steelers,
37:08ask old school,
37:09right?
37:09They don't overreact.
37:11They,
37:12they want,
37:13they don't want a ton of coaches.
37:14They don't want to be the Raiders.
37:15They don't want revolving doors.
37:17They want to get the higher,
37:19right?
37:19The first time,
37:20which is why it took them so long.
37:22They'd be able to even go ahead and find the right guy.
37:24The giants knew they had the right guy.
37:26They went out and got him.
37:27The Ravens took their time.
37:30That's interesting too.
37:31Like you get rid of John Harbaugh.
37:33You fire him.
37:33He lands right away with the giants.
37:35They're thrilled.
37:35He got there.
37:36And he hired Jesse mentor.
37:37I'm not saying Jesse mentor can't be a good coach.
37:39It seems like he is a good coach,
37:40but when you see like the hires,
37:42like,
37:42okay,
37:42we've got mentor in town.
37:43We're going to win.
37:43It's like,
37:44he just had one of the better coaches in the NFL and horrible.
37:46And you let them go.
37:47And if this doesn't work out,
37:48I don't even know what it doesn't work out means because it's not as if
37:50like horrible is winning championships every single year.
37:53It's been some time,
37:54but let's just say like mentor pans out in three years and makes the playoff.
37:58Once misses it twice and gets fired.
37:59It's like,
38:00okay,
38:00the giants are on the right track with Harbaugh.
38:01Why didn't you stick with them?
38:03That's the NFL.
38:04So what have you done for me lately?
38:05Where sometimes your fan base just demands a change for the sake of
38:08change.
38:09And you say,
38:10you know,
38:10we'll give you change.
38:11We'll see if it plays out there for the Baltimore Ravens.
38:13How about Tommy Reese change of scenery saying coach though.
38:16Hey,
38:16Mr.
38:16Stefanski,
38:16bring me down to Atlanta.
38:18Sure thing.
38:18Done deal.
38:19Tommy Reese OC for the Falcons.
38:21Yeah.
38:22And listen,
38:23it makes total sense,
38:24right?
38:24If I'm Stefanski,
38:25I want to absolutely surround myself.
38:28With guys that,
38:29you know,
38:30understand they're all from the Shanahan tree,
38:33right?
38:33So they know offense.
38:36He knows offense.
38:36They got to figure out first and foremost,
38:38they got weapons all over the place on that team.
38:41So now they've got to kind of figure out what are we doing with the
38:44quarterback?
38:44I think Kurt cousins,
38:46I don't think his career is over in Atlanta.
38:49And Stefanski tends like what he did with Joe Flacco to go with the
38:53experience over the youth.
38:55So I wouldn't shock me.
38:57If Kurt cousins starts as the Atlanta quarterback next year,
39:00still shocking that the Buffalo bills let go of Sean McDermott.
39:04And even more shocking was the press conference had the day after it said,
39:07I was in that locker room and people were crying and Josh wasn't talking to
39:11me.
39:11So since Justin talked to me,
39:13I fired the head coach.
39:14And now we're getting interviews from Brian Dable,
39:16who used to be in Buffalo as the offensive coordinator for Josh Allen and the
39:19Buffalo bills and Luana Romo,
39:21very good solid defensive coordinator,
39:22but be careful what you wish for on why you're getting rid of people.
39:26And also understanding that maybe it's a personnel problem as opposed to an
39:30actual coaching problem on the Buffalo bills.
39:34Yeah.
39:34It always starts from the top body.
39:37Right.
39:38I mean,
39:38it's,
39:38and everybody has said it,
39:41the perception of being and what Pagula has done here.
39:45They have set this franchise back,
39:48not to mention you basically took your franchise quarterback,
39:52the MVP,
39:53and you told the entire world that because he was crying,
39:57you fired his favorite coach.
39:59That's basically what you came out and told him.
40:01Like,
40:01I don't,
40:01what,
40:02what are you doing here,
40:04Buffalo?
40:04And like you said,
40:05to me,
40:06the devil,
40:06you know,
40:06is always better than the devil.
40:08You don't.
40:09I,
40:10if you look at what we just got from Dable over the last couple of years
40:13of the giants,
40:14that's what you want to bring into the building.
40:16Huh?
40:16I,
40:17I don't know.
40:19And by the way,
40:20like I could see like if the fan bay,
40:22if you know,
40:22your owner was like,
40:23I just need change here.
40:25We're firing being,
40:25we're going to fire McDermott.
40:27They're attached at the hip.
40:28I just like,
40:29it's not working right now.
40:30Let's go.
40:31A lot of the fan base would say,
40:32you know what?
40:32That's,
40:33I guess you're being proactive where we're really good.
40:35We just haven't got over the hump.
40:37Let's sever this and see if we can do that.
40:38But the fact that you promoted the general manager and you fired the
40:42coach,
40:43which now days later,
40:44we have bills,
40:45fans launching petitions to reinstate the fired head coach,
40:49Sean McDermott.
40:49And it's up over 40,000 signatures.
40:52That's when you usually don't lose the public favor.
40:56When you fire a coach that hasn't gotten over the hump crate.
40:58All right.
40:58Something,
40:59at least the,
40:59the unknown is something better than what we've been having,
41:02which is losing playoff games.
41:03But now you're finding like,
41:04wait a second,
41:05you fired the coach and fire the GM,
41:06which we think is the problem.
41:08We'd rather have the coach back here,
41:10fire the general manager and fire you as owner.
41:11At this point,
41:12this is getting 10.
41:13They better nail this hire Joe.
41:16If they want to survive in Buffalo as an ownership group,
41:18my goodness.
41:19And they won't Donnie.
41:21And it's too late.
41:22You basically promoted a guy that came in with the coach.
41:27You just fired and has exactly the same shortcomings in the post season as
41:33the coach.
41:34You just fired.
41:34Only you promoted this guy and you fired the coach,
41:39the guy that's responsible for the lack of players.
41:43You kept him and promoted him.
41:45Apple.
41:45Let's get to some action where we want to hear from the public.
41:48Here's our fade,
41:49the public poll.
41:57Course correction on this question that we were asking the people today at
42:01sports grid on X,
42:02which underdog are you taking in the NFL's championship round matchups?
42:06Initially,
42:06we asked if you want to take the Broncos a plus four and a half or minus two
42:11and a half for the Seahawks.
42:12We quickly changed that back to where it's more appropriate.
42:14You see that graph.
42:15Who are you taking this week,
42:16Joe Rams or the Broncos,
42:18the public,
42:18they are all over the Rams at 53%.
42:21How about that?
42:23Wow.
42:23Public impressive.
42:25Not buying the same Donald train here.
42:29Huh?
42:29Not.
42:29Yeah.
42:30Well,
42:30I mean,
42:31it's,
42:31I'd like to say I disagree with them.
42:33I don't,
42:35but I,
42:36you know,
42:36I tend to think that maybe it's just,
42:39it's just too many points.
42:41Also,
42:41I think a total might be in play for this game.
