00:00El Salvador's social and political organizations protested this Saturday to demand the release
00:04of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Celia Flores, who were kidnapped
00:08by the U.S. military on January 3rd.
00:11We are calling for the immediate release of our comrade Maduro and his wife, and for
00:20an end to the United States' intervention in Latin America.
00:24We war veterans of the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front.
00:34We wish to extend our fraternal greetings and solidarity with the brotherly people of Venezuela
00:40and the brotherly people of Cuba, so on behalf of the veterans we are demanding freedom for
00:45Maduro and freedom for his wife.
00:48We strongly condemn the fascist aggression of the empire against the Bolivarian Republic
01:00of Venezuela on January 3rd.
01:02This aggression resulted in the kidnapping of the constitutional president Nicolás Maduro
01:07and his wife, First Lady, our comrade Celia Flores.
01:12They are now in the United States facing a political trial, an illegal trial, in the heart
01:17of the empire.
01:19With this action, the empire has violated international law, the free will of the peoples, and the sovereignty
01:24of Venezuela.
01:26From here, we join the global campaign to demand the release of our comrades Maduro and Celia.
01:33Let them return to their homeland.
01:35We demand freedom for our colleague, Deputy Celia Flores, a woman who has contributed so
01:45much to the Venezuelan process from her position in the Legislative Assembly, but also in all
01:50the social processes that have pronted transformation in the Sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
02:00We demand their freedom, we demand they be returned, because we also know that they have committed
02:06no crimes any court in the United States can charge them with.
