00:00Leonardo DiCaprio needs to stop schlepping his mother to award shows.
00:04I was hoping we'd get his model girlfriend, whose name I just learned is Vittoria Toretti.
00:11Beautiful.
00:11Since 1994, he brings his mom to the award shows when he was first nominated for What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
00:17His mom, you know, was a single mom and she raised him.
00:20He credits her and he said, I would not be up here if it wasn't for my mother.
00:24So it's been 32 years now that he's been bringing his mom on and off to events.
00:28His mother is in her 80s.
00:31And while she is beautiful, I think she must be tired.
00:33I don't think she wants to put on a pair of heels and go to the show.
00:37I think she wants to be home with her girlfriends playing Canasta.
00:40I mean, sure, they're probably giving her a hard time.
00:42When is Leo going to settle down?
00:44But don't you think Vittoria would like a chance to meet George Clooney?
00:48But also, like, you've gone to, like, your husband's work Christmas parties, right?
00:53Maybe it's like your husband is, you know, making small talk with his colleagues
00:56and you're kind of looking off in the distance like, what am I doing here?
01:00Point taken.
01:01It is hard to, like, behave for four hours straight with an open bar.
01:05But, like, the last time Leo has attended an award show that I can remember with a date was...
01:122005 Oscars when he brought Giselle.
01:14They broke up shortly after that.
01:16So maybe it's like, maybe he thinks it's like a curse or something.
01:18Nikki Glaser did her opening monologue.
01:21Three Golden Globes, an Oscar.
01:23And the most impressive thing is that you were able to accomplish all of that before your girlfriend turned 30.
01:27I mean, it's just insane.
01:29You don't know anything else about you, man.
01:31Like, there's nothing else.
01:32Like, open up.
01:33He wants to remain private.
01:34He doesn't have to put his life out there because people are going to still go see his movies.
01:39He's still going to get Oscar nominations.
01:41So, you know, what's the upside to him?
01:43He looks great.
01:45I mean, he's Leonardo DiCaprio.
01:46But he's really glowing right now.
01:48It's like the gua sha is gua sha-ing.
01:50He's definitely doing his skin care routine.
01:52I don't know what that is.
01:53So I'll just agree with you.
01:55Just know that man is keeping up with his moisturizing and it shows.
01:59And he does seem to have like a lightness.
02:01He did seem a little playful at the Golden Globes.
02:03He laughed at Nikki's joke.
02:04What are you going to do?
02:05Sit there stone-faced?
02:06I mean, you got to laugh.
02:07I mean, he could be like, you're not going to give us your girlfriend.
02:11At least give us your skin care routine.
02:13I second that.
02:13Let's talk a little bit about some other actors who love to bring their moms.
02:18Bradley Cooper is infamous for the mom date.
02:21Michael B. Jordan.
02:22I feel like she says to him, I'm coming.
02:24I don't think it's even a question.
02:26The Oscar speech that sticks out most in my mind is J.K. Simmons when he won for Whiplash,
02:31Best Supporting Actor.
02:32And he said,
02:33Call your mom.
02:34Call your dad.
02:34If you're lucky enough to have a parent or two alive on this planet, call them.
02:39It just got in my head about spending time with your parents while they're still here.
02:43God damn it, Eric.
02:44You just won the debate.
