00:00A St. Helens man who killed a motorcyclist in 2021 has been jailed after police proved he lied about his health to avoid prosecution.
00:10Stephen Naylor, aged 41, caused the death of Owen Bow on the M62 and claimed medical unfitness,
00:18but footage showed him playing rugby, kayaking and attending a festival.
00:22Naylor admitted causing death by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice
00:27and was sentenced to 12 years at Liverpool Crown Court.
00:30His wife, Lisa, admitted perverting the course of justice and received four and a half years.
00:36Police praised the public and the Serious Collision Investigations Unit for gathering evidence for the convictions.
