00:00President Trump taking on Jamie Dimon.
00:02I think it's fine what I'm doing. We have a bad Fed person.
00:06He was extended by Biden and yeah, I think he's wrong.
00:11I think it's wrong. He's done a bad job.
00:14We should have lower rates. Jamie Dimon probably wants higher rates.
00:17Maybe he makes more money that way.
00:19So here's the latest this morning.
00:20President Donald Trump targeting J.P. Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon.
00:23Trump dismissing Dimon's suggestion the DOJ's probe into the Federal Reserve
00:26will have consequences for the economy.
00:28Joining us now from Washington, it's Bloomberg's Tyler Kendall.
00:31Good morning, Tyler.
00:31Certainly a big feature of the news flow in the last day or so.
00:35Yeah. Hey, John. Good morning.
00:36Well, this is really just the latest friction point between Wall Street and President Trump
00:40during a week where we have seen heightened attacks on the Federal Reserve,
00:44but also a slew of policy proposals that big banks don't like.
00:47Now, President Trump's pushback against Jamie Dimon is also notable
00:50because at first this White House appeared to try to distance itself from the investigation
00:55with the press secretary saying that President Trump did not have knowledge of nor ordered it.
01:00But now it appears that the president is throwing his apparent support behind it
01:04and also went on to tell reporters that he does intend to push ahead with plans to name his pick
01:09to lead the Federal Reserve in the next few weeks.
01:12In his words, despite this investigation posing potential problems to the confirmation process on Capitol Hill.
