Families of detainees in Venezuela continue to gather outside detention centres — including the Zone 7 facility — and at the Central University of Caracas, pleading for updates on their imprisoned loved ones and demanding proof of life and release.

Relatives hugged and held signs as they waited, with many vowing not to leave until they received information about their family members, some held for months. Despite government claims of releasing over 400 prisoners under a broader release process, human rights groups and NGOs such as Foro Penal say that only dozens have been verified freed — far fewer than official figures suggest.

Foro Penal and other local organisations estimate that hundreds of political prisoners remain incarcerated, and advocacy groups have criticised the lack of transparency and slow pace of releases. Families remain camped outside prisons, clinging to hope amid growing frustration and uncertainty.

04:03We, as relatives, exigimos, in the first moment, the total liberation of all political prisoners of our country,
04:28but also the closure of all the torture centers that are in our country in this moment.
04:36The closure of the Helicoide, the Rodeo I, the Fuerte Huaycaipuro, the Yare, the Tocorón, the Sotano, the Dejesim,
04:45the clandestines of Cebim, the Dejesim, all those centers of torture that maybe many know,
04:52but it's the reality that live the political prisoners in our country.
04:56As we have also been refugees in the spirituality, we are going to ask the Father that we do.
05:01These centers, like the Rodeo I, where they have been installed for five days consecutively,
