00:00The election is over and I'm happy that it's over. I couldn't wait for it because we need to get down to business in Tobago.
00:09We, the business community, have been lingering for some time and I see now is a grand opportunity for us to really get down to some serious, meaningful business on the island.
00:19He said the chamber intends to have contractors equipped and prepared to accept future contracts available through the THE.
00:28We also want to put ourselves in a state of readiness to prepare ourselves for contracts that may come our way and we're not in a state of readiness.
00:38So we are taking the bull by the horn and preparing ourselves, putting together our tender documents, things that we may need for the administrative aspect of the tender, training our members so that they can bid on these great projects that will be coming towards Tobago.
00:55The intention to strengthen the relationship between the THE and the chamber is being looked at, as well as the expansion of Tobago's tourism thrust.
01:06Well, I think we want to keep our eyes open on the tourism sector because the tourism sector is the lifeblood of Tobago.
01:13We want to build a vibrant private sector, but without the enablers, we cannot do that.
01:18And it might have to be, it's happened to be a conversation going two ways.
