00:31head-to-head in the Champions League it is Chelsea facing Barcelona well this
00:37should be a good one these European nights are always special under the
00:40floodlights let's hope we're not disappointed
00:57yeah
01:03yeah
01:07yeah
01:11yeah
01:16yeah
01:19and here's how it looks for Chelsea
01:31well I think they have a nice balance to their team
01:34a solid back four, two holding midfielders
01:36three creative players in advance of them
01:38and a mobile centre forward
01:40it's a good team
01:49and here's the starting eleven
02:18for Barcelona
02:19well they're playing the same shape really
02:21so it's all about getting control of that central area
02:24and which of the wide players has the greatest effect on the game
02:48so underway and we expect intensity, passion and a few goals for good measure
02:55Cucurella
03:01a really good pass
03:03and there's the feed into the box
03:07and just too much elevation on the header
03:10well he just can't keep it down
03:11but what a good cross that was
03:13as was the movement in the box
03:14he's unlucky on that occasion
03:16Pedro
03:27Pedro
03:28Valde
03:29and a tidy challenge
03:34running with confidence
03:41but nothing comes of it
03:43good defending it was
03:44now what can they do from here
03:55can he score
03:56now options are plenty
04:10this looks more than decent
04:14well somebody's got to stop him
04:17and a timely intervention
04:19Raffina
04:26now with power
04:34attacking possibilities for Chelsea
04:39well it clearly was deflected
04:51so it will be their throw in
04:52although it comes to nothing in the end
04:56really should have made more of that
04:58well I thought that had goal written all over it
05:00just didn't make the most of it
05:02you can probably see why we're focusing on this fellow
05:21as one to watch in particular
05:23what do you expect to see from him
05:25well he's the creative spark of his team
05:27he can drift past defenders
05:28he can pick a pass
05:29and he's got that pace off the mark
05:31and I'm sure we're going to see that again today
05:33Pedro
05:51here's Raffina
05:58pressure applied
06:01can they make something of it
06:03and possibilities here
06:07well that's a really top-notch piece of defending
06:14oh he's shown great awareness there
06:16that is a vital piece of play
06:18well the player just breaking down a bit here
06:20who can he play at two
06:32well nothing comes of it
06:36it looked promising
06:37trying to tee it up
06:47and snuffed out the danger immediately
06:54and snuffed out the danger immediately
06:54Pukurea
07:09interesting pass
07:15can he get them in front
07:17Chelsea's corner
07:19as they try to take the lead here
07:21They just listen to these fans, they're urging their team to score here and take the lead.
07:39And over comes the corner.
07:46Koundé.
07:47Chelsea recovering possession well.
07:52Kound didn't worry the keeper.
07:57Pedri.
08:02The first credit for winning the ball back.
08:09Lovely ball.
08:13He fancies it.
08:14Unable to close down the shot.
08:17That really was a good bit of defending there.
08:20Could be a chance to break.
08:27Oh, useful ball.
08:29Oh, surely.
08:31And nearly the perfect break, but no end product.
08:33Well, it's just off target, but what a good counter attack that was.
08:37The counter attack that was.
08:40Koundé.
08:43Koundé.
08:44Koundé.
08:46Koundé.
08:48Koundé.
08:50Koundé.
08:51Koundé.
08:53Koundé.
08:55Koundé.
08:56Promising position, this.
08:58Koundé.
08:59Koundé.
09:00Koundé.
09:01Koundé.
09:02Koundé.
09:03Koundé.
09:04Koundé.
09:05Koundé.
09:06Koundé.
09:07Koundé.
09:08Koundé.
09:09Koundé.
09:10Koundé.
09:11Koundé.
09:12Koundé.
09:13Koundé.
09:14Koundé.
09:15Koundé.
09:16Koundé.
09:17Koundé.
09:18Koundé.
09:19Koundé.
09:20Koundé.
09:21Koundé.
09:22Koundé.
09:23Koundé.
09:24Koundé.
09:25Now Chelsea showing good width.
09:31Oh, that's brilliant play and a loss of concentration.
09:37And wouldn't he love to have that opportunity back?
09:41Well, that should be 1-0, but that's not a good finish, is it?
09:55Fedri, Lewandowski, given away by Barcelona.
10:16Now options are plenty, very quick thinking there.
10:23Deciding to go inside.
10:25And the first 45 minutes have come and gone here at Stamford Ridge.
10:39Well, he was one of the better players in the first half, but needed to be better still.
10:43Your thoughts?
10:44It certainly wasn't his best half of football.
10:46It was slightly off the pace and he gave the ball away too easily at times.
10:50But we know he can do much better.
10:51So the game is restarted and you almost get the feeling it's a case of who's going to blink first.
11:16And Barca exploiting the space on the wing.
11:24A disappointing end to the move.
11:25Could be threatening.
11:35Oh, a big moment!
11:36And the post getting in the way.
11:39Promising passage, but came to nothing.
11:41Well, how close were Barcelona for taking the lead?
11:46If they continue to play like this, you sense they'll get their noses in front at some point.
11:55Lewandowski.
11:57De Jong.
11:59Jules Koundé on the ball.
12:00Good-looking move.
12:05Oh, superb tackle!
12:07Well, defending doesn't get much better than that.
12:12Now the quick counter-attack could be on.
12:18Might jump in front!
12:19And they've wasted the chance from all the seven times.
12:22Oh dear!
12:23Well, the finish didn't match the build-up play.
12:25That was a really good counter-attack.
12:27Koundé.
12:38Koundé.
12:42Jamal.
12:44And Barcelona being afforded too much space.
12:50Must take the lead here.
12:52And they have.
12:54You've got to say, it has been coming.
12:57Well, as you can see, this was always coming.
13:12They've been piling on the pressure.
13:14It's a well-deserved goal.
13:15It's a well-deserved goal.
13:16It's a well-deserved goal.
13:17It's a well-deserved goal.
13:18It's a well-deserved goal.
13:19It's a well-deserved goal.
13:20It's a well-deserved goal.
13:21It's a well-deserved goal.
13:22It's a well-deserved goal.
13:23It's a well-deserved goal.
13:24It's a well-deserved goal.
13:25It's a well-deserved goal.
13:26It's a well-deserved goal.
13:27It's a well-deserved goal.
13:28It's a well-deserved goal.
13:29It's a well-deserved goal.
13:30It's a well-deserved goal.
13:31It's a well-deserved goal.
13:32It's a well-deserved goal.
13:33It's a well-deserved goal.
13:34It's a well-deserved goal.
13:35So, underway again here, and with that goal, the game might have a different energy about
13:49it.
13:52Goal partner.
13:53The true ball.
13:56And space to cross it.
14:05Quick break to be on.
14:09Well, it came to nothing in the end.
14:23Enzo Fernandez.
14:26Very effective passing sequence.
14:29But they need to find that extra bit of goal.
14:32Overing it into the box.
14:33Well, it comes to nothing in the end.
14:45Fernandez.
14:52Moises Caicedo.
14:55Now with Palmer.
14:58Down the centre for Charles.
15:00Oh, a smart stop.
15:03So, deciding to make a personnel change at this juncture.
15:17Another short corner routine.
15:21Tremendously strong in the tackle.
15:23Yamal.
15:40Yamal.
15:42Now with De Jong.
15:45Koundé.
15:46On to De Jong.
15:53And into the last 20 minutes.
15:57And that last touch means a throw-in for them.
16:04Koundé.
16:06On to De Jong.
16:07Jules Koundé on the ball.
16:12Lamine Yamal.
16:15Now with De Jong.
16:16And running it back.
16:20He read it really well, didn't he?
16:25Fernandez.
16:26Well, it's going to be a great finish here.
16:28These Chelsea fans are ramping up the noise now.
16:31They're surely going to get another chance before the end.
16:36And Chelsea looking dangerous.
16:37James.
16:43James.
16:45Might lead to a chance.
16:50Nekko.
16:52Had a chance to Riverton here.
16:54Slight miscue in the final third.
16:56Nekko.
17:06James.
17:13Fernandez.
17:16Oh, what a top-notch pass.
17:20Well, got his head to it.
17:22But the placement made it a simple take.
17:24Frankie de Jong.
17:29Well, keeping the ball as they're doing is helping the cause.
17:33Yeah, they don't need to force it, do they?
17:35Good tackle.
17:41Oh, breezing past him.
17:44Well, the corner it is.
17:45And they know they've got to be opportunistic at this stage of the game.
17:50It's going to be.
17:50A double substitution it's going to be.
17:54Who's going to get on the end of it?
18:03Danger still on.
18:10Decent position.
18:11On to Palmer.
18:21A genuine chance.
18:23Oh, still something on here.
18:25And a goal.
18:26It's up right on the top right on here.
18:28Just look at the reaction.
18:29As you can see, the weight of the through ball is key to this goal.
18:48And the finish is just as good.
18:49That's an excellent goal.
18:50Goal for Chelsea.
19:05So underway again here on the back of that leveller.
19:09Koundé.
19:10On to De Jong.
19:16Barcelona on the front foot in anticipation of scoring the winner.
19:20But they dealt with the threat posed.
19:25Well, taking into account all the stoppages.
19:27Two minutes to be added on.
19:29Rhys James.
19:37On to Palmer.
19:43And that is that.
19:44Full time here.
19:45And a draw.
19:46The two teams couldn't be separated.
19:48What did you make of the visitors' performance?
19:51Yes, the disappointment is clear to see.
19:52Obviously, with 10 minutes to go,
19:54they must have been feeling confident that they could see it out.
19:56But that's football.
19:57That's what we love about it.
20:01His performance in this particular game
20:03will have impressed many people, Stuart.
20:05Well, they look to be a beaten team.
20:07But he just kept going.
20:08And what a composed finish it was.
20:10He showed a lot of quality today.
20:20That's all.
20:29You know.
20:29I like it.
20:30You know, I like it.
