00:00Starfield, arguably the summer's hottest and most anticipated game, is here. The reviews are in,
00:07and absolutely no one anywhere is surprised about any of it. Is it good? Yeah, it's good. Is it vast?
00:14Oh, it is vast. Is it a Bethesda RPG riddled with bugs and game-breaking glitches that will have
00:20both tears of frustration and hilarity roll down your cheeks? You betcha. Story-wise, IGN reports
00:27that Bethesda has built out a sprawling universe with detailed lore in which humanity has left
00:32Earth behind and colonized the galaxy but hasn't made first contact with sentient aliens as of the
00:3924th century. It's chock full of backstory about wars between its three major factions, run-ins with
00:45mysterious space, deathclaws, pirates, and an immense amount more. According to Video Games
00:52Chronicle, from a combat perspective, Starfield is easily Bethesda Game Studios' strongest game.
00:58Without the crutch of VATS or Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System from the Fallout series,
01:04the gunplay was going to have to deliver, and it certainly does. There's a huge variety of weapons,
01:10and the options for customizing them further are simply staggering. All in all, DualShockers writes
01:16that there are some minor shortcomings in regards to the individual character models, especially the
01:22facial animations, which seems like they're only the best of what last-gen technology can offer.
01:28But whatever mild disappointment they felt towards them initially, not unlike the space
01:34travel mechanics, quickly faded into irrelevance in the face of the excellence the game accomplishes in
01:41other areas.
