Palace on flood control mess: Marcos' term not over, many more things will happen   Malacañang says the pursuit of those involved in alleged flood control anomalies is far from over, and many more things are expected to happen as the government continues its investigation. Palace Press Office Claire Castro issued the statement on Jan. 6, 2026 as she defended President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. against criticisms that his pronouncement to jail those involved in the flood control anomalies before Christmas did not materialize, with only contractor Sarah Discaya having been arrested. In a press conference, Castro said that in just over four months, some have been jailed, warrants of arrest have been issued, some have gone into hiding, and others were negotiating and returning the bulk of their kickbacks, which, she noted, never happened in any administration. 01:23Pagsabi po niya na mayroong mga taong hindi magiging Merry ang Christmas,
